So my boyfriends birthday is coming up, he is in the Army. So I thought hmmm what would he like, which came to mind a SNES NES duo for him to play his favorite games. So I didm;t do much research which I agree is my fault but I did read some reviews on video game central and saw it was a secure site for billing and transactions so I trusted it. Well even though my account as not been debited i'm so mad at the lack of customer service communication. I logged on and picked the duo in charcoal and super mario all stars and super mario world. Yay was so excited all three said they were in stock. The shipping was 16.00 which is double than any other site I looked at for 4 day shipping but this site had the coolest colors. So I stuck with it and the shipping profile on the site said 1-2 business day shipping cool. Well it has now been 8 days and still order status says awaiting fulfillment. I emailed after 4 days no answer.... So I checked the duo in charcoal and it says on backorder???? Wow couldn't tell me or maybe have me pick out another color that is in stock or maybe the brightest idea was to tell me before I bought it when clearly on the page it said it was in stock. So now 4 days after first email still no email back or answer of the phone number I am calling. No I can send you another color or we are sorry that our site wasn't updated which would of made me feel better. So I emailed canceling the order seeing as it still hasn't been debited from my account. No answer so i'm guessing when it does come to be in stock they will send it and charge me and I will flip out. I'm gonna buy off a different site that has communication and amazing product. So if you ask would I ever look to buy from this site again even if it was the last site on the internet to order classic games from..... hell no. I rather go on ebay. Video game central is garbage and all they would of had to do to better feedback would be send me one email or give me a phone call saying hey your product is out of stock do you want to wait or would you like a color that is in stock???? but no to hard for them
I just ordered a original xbox ddr dance pad. It came packaged nicely and on time. Only problem is for some reason it doesnt work during gameplay. I was unable to find an email address on their site to contact them about my issue and am currently 25 bucks down and have a broken ddr dance pad :[
on the other hand it seems based on these reviews i was the only one who couldnt find the customer service address.
So I ordered Xenoblade Chronicles TWO weeks ago, well ahead of the release date. It stated that shipping would be in 24 hours!! Awesome!! Or so I thought. I got an email telling me that the payment went through, then nothing which is the usual when I order albums. I just presumed it would be there by at least Tuesday, since it was the Easter Weekend AND the game came out on the Thursday!!!! So I check my mailbox for nothing! I work night crew and sleep during the day, I don't get out a lot so I was lazy and ordered online. Stupid idea!! I could of ordered the thing from EB Games and be playing the game right now but instead I'm waiting for it to appear or not appear AND the customer service place kept us on hold for hours THEN hungup!! So to be short, I will now be buying videogames strictly from Walmart of EB Games and not the internet!!! Thanks for turning me off ordering anything other than metal albums from the internet Videolamecentral.
Like many others, I was skeptical about placing an order with VGC. I took a look at their inventory on their website and decided to take a chance. I ordered 4 different items, all of which were showing in stock and received an order confirmation promptly. The following day, they update my order to "cancelled". Seems they had not one of the 4 unique items I ordered. One or possibly two items I could understand. But ALL FOUR! VGS obviously does not manage their inventory at all and waits for their customers to do it for them. The items I ordered are now showing out of stock, after I did the legwork for them.
I cannot comment on how well they fare with completed orders. But as for placing orders? Just don't get your hopes up. Odds are they won't have what you ordered. I don't plan on ordering, I mean managing their inventory again.
Another Company comes to mind that ran their inventory system this way. Circuit City. I wonder what happened them? Oh yeah, they went out of business.
Admittedly, I was very skeptical of ordering from Video Game Central after reading some negative views but I'm here to proudly announce that this company is fantastic.
I was looking for 2 specific products and had looked all over the net, only to find that virtually the only store selling these products was Video Game Central. After much thought, I decided to risk it and order my items from them. Not only did I receive my order in a reasonable time frame but I had my enquiring emails answered promptly (by a man who goes by the name of Randy ... he deserves a raise by the way) and the items worked as intended.
I love you guys. I would definitely order from here again.

So I went hunting for the Samurai Shodown Anthology and ran across video game central. They had the best price so after a little bit of deliberation I went ahead and placed my order. I've seen some questionable reviews online, but my experience was great. I'd placed an order with Gamestop for similar items the same day, and both arrived on the exact same day. I would order again.

We ordered the Nintendo Wii Ultimate Board Games Collection 20 Classics. We received the board game collection "12" classics. We emailed the company and received a prompt response. As their supplier advertised the wrong game, and the one we ordered was not available, and we had to return the game for a refund. Email & telephone communications were taken care of and a $5 credit was put on our account because of the error. We're hoping that our refund is returned just as promptly.

I purchased a video game from them and the price was fantastic. I ordered on Thursday and received it the following Monday. I was very shocked and happy. Only thing they could have done better was probably update the status of the item. but even with that I am not complaining. If I was to buy from the again and get that kind of service again I would be a LOYAL customer and buy my games from them. A+++++

My kids wanted the Band Hero full kit from Guitar Hero. I looked around and the prices were pretty steep still. Stores were in the high 100s and I wasn't looking to spend much. On a forum somebody mentioned to me to try VideoGameCentral. They wrote that they had purchased a Guitar Hero full band kit and they were very happy. So I look and see that they have the Band Hero I'm looking for, for under $100. Yes, it was labeled Like New but considering I had the good reference I gave it a shot.
Package came very quickly within the same week I ordered. All components were in great to Like New condition. The game in the box was actually sealed so I feel like the item was New. Everything worked great and my kids loved it. Videogamecentral,com is going to be one of the store I check from now on.

I ordered some plush Nintendo chracters from Video Game Central. I ordered eight different items and received the whole order in four days! That's pretty fast considering I ordered the cheapest shipping. They had the largest variety for my collection and they had it for a fair price. Videogamecentral is going to be one of my regulars from now on.
Called them up to check if they had a Hori VX fight stick in stock for Xbox360 before placing an order. Sales person took the time to not only check the inventory, but he went and personally checked it was in stock before I ordered. He also put a request in and made some new items available on the website for me since I am building an arcade. Great Service
first you see free shipping, wow. then you pay with paypal. you go back to their site. then the wammy!!! you get hit with another 4.95 for shipping and you cannot, i repeate,cannot cancel your purchase and are held hostage for another 4.95 for shipping. I will tell alli know to stay away from these crooked peoplethat force you to pay this exzorbatant shipping fee after they advertise a decent price forthe game, then they rip you off.
stay away from these people. I spoke to their shopping cart people as we use them too and they sais they must have modifiedit to do this as it isnot partof thei software to not be ableto cance asale afterfinding out you have to pay highway robbery rates on top of market rates for a game.
I realize that I had quite a large order and it was handled very well. I have all pieces that were ordered and if I need to comment, it would be about ensuring that the game is packed (tight), meaning something to keep disc from shifting around. (1) of my 14 games ordered was loose inside of a SEGA CD case, which is oversized and without bubble wrap or any kind of paper to buffer the open space inside, when I recd the disc, it was completely seperated from the CD holder and can only think it got super scrapey and scratchy along the way, but anyways, still great service. Thank you Videogame Central, once again.
So after doing a lot of seaching online I finally found a site that had both Metal Gear Solid (PS1) and Metal Gear Solid: VR missions(PS1) in stock. The site states that there is no gaurentee for a manual or case or anything, just the cd. The price though was worth it since it was cheaper then anywhere else. I ordered them both with the lowest shipping rate so it would cost the less. For both orders it said I should recieve them between Feb 3rd - Feb 15th. I received them both on 25th, both with cases, manuals and the CD's themselves have 0 scratches on them. These games are in perfect condition and everything I could have asked for.
About bad customer service: I've noticed that the reviews are mostly around nov - dec. Everyones trying to get that order in to be received by christmas, but what they dont realize is that realistically, every store that's not a major online retailer, tends to make a fair amount of mess ups, misorders, and have slow customer service. Why? This is because the amount of orders and people calling/emailing is high. I've worked for 2 call centers and at one outlet store all 3 during christmas times and our customer service reports for both call centers went from 80%-95% to about 30-35% and all the supervisors who had been at the call centers a long time just told us to relax because it happens every christmas. The outlet store, well it just looked like everything was tossed onto the shelves and very cluttered and disorganized and the backroom, well, dont even get me started on how bad that looked.
So to those of you wondering about this company, give them a shot, since most people had a wonderful experience with them.
Is the first time that i purchase from video game central, and it was very easy just select the game, pay with paypal, and after 8 days i received my game in perfect conditions, and also the shipping cost is very low compared with other online stores.
I ordered a Retro Duo 2 in 1 gaming system and a few games from this site a couple weeks back and not even 24 after placing my order it was shipped via USPS. A week later my order arrived in pristine condition and was packed extremely well as Video Game Central made sure nothing would be damaged in transit. Everything has worked amazing since then with the exception of a NES Tetris cartridge but after giving it a cleaning I figured out the problem as I had to put the game in on a angle in order for the pins to recognize it properly. Other than that there were no major problems as I have had a lot of fun catching up a lot of games that made up my youth.
Thanks Video Game Central for the prompt delivery as deciding to go with your company was a great decision.
Videogamecentral had really great service. the package arrived when expected in perfect condition. only reason that i gave four stars was that i was not able to track the shipment or that i couldn't find the tracking number. in all, would buy from them again.
These guys are great! They have a great selection of games and are really nice any time you call them up. They have awesome accessories at great prices. I recently purchased the new Sony wireless heat set online and I love it. VideoGameCentral had it for the lowest price around and the employees are really polite and easy to speak with. I love these guys and placing orders with them is a pleasure!
VideoGameCentral.com had a lot of games I was having issue finding at an appropriate price. I called and the gentleman on the phone was very patient and answered all my questions. I actually feel a little bad after a while because he was actually checking to see if they had items not listed on the site, which they did!!!
Placed the order. I ordered standard shipping. All the items came within five days in two separate shipments. They actually threw in some really cool Nintendo Club keychain for free too! Packages came packaged nicely too.
Situation: I just made a last minute Christmas purchase of a wii game that was advertised as new. Paid same price as listed on Amazon for a new game plus first class shipping. I specifically avoided several online vendors that advertised "used-like new." Pretty simple, I just wanted a new game for someone to open as Christmas gift.
Game arrived in a torn envelope with a label stating "Used -Like New." If I had wanted a used game I could have could purchased one online for a lot less. Amazon offers to buy back used versions of this game for about a third of what I paid ($30).
I emailed Videogame central the next day asking for a replacement in new condition. Received the following quick reply that same day-
"We apologize for the inconvenience you are currently facing. We are looking into the matter as we speak. We will find out what exactly happened and we should have a response for you before the day is over. Again we apologize for the inconvenience." Thought this was a good sign but then did not hear back by end of day.
3 business days (5 calendar days) later I had still not received a follow up email. After emailing them again requesting either a refund or that they send me a new game, I received the following reply-
"We again apologize for the inconvenience and non response. Unfortunately we never got an official response as to why you received a used copy instead of a brand new one. We are in talks with our supervisor to get the fastest response possible and get this taken cared of asap whether it be for the replacement or refund. Again we apologize for the inconvenience. "
It has now been an additional 3 business days and I have yet to receive a follow up response. I wanted to wait until they resolved my complaint before completing this rating, but enough time has passed.
Simply put, I did not receive what I paid for and now videogame central is completely unresponsive. Don't waste your time, just go to Amazon where you can trust they will make it right if you are not satisfied.
I ordered a Retro Duo (Black and Red) Nintendo Gaming system in November as a Christmas Present. My expected date of fulfillment was December 13th. As of December 13th my order was still "awaiting fullfillment". I e-mailed customer service and did not hear back from them. After a couple of days I e-mailed again, still no response. I finally called and talked to Dominick. He explained they were having a problem with the Manufacturer sending them this item and it probably would not arrive before Christmas! He did ask if I would like to have them replace my item with another gaming system, which I did not. I then recieved my e mail stating the same proposal. I wish they would have responded in time for me to order from another source without me having to email several times, and finally calling them!!! Videogame Central should NOT have listed this item as being in stock!!! Next thing I knew, I recieved an e mail stating that my order had been fulfilled and would be shipped asap, and this was 3 days before Christmas!!! Considering this had to be shipped from New York to Iowa my hopes for delivery before Christmas were slim to none. After some very tense waiting, I recieved the package on Christmas Eve! Dominick was very gratious when I spoke with him, and I DID recieve my package to be opened on Christmas Day!!! I would order from Videogame Central again, but I would order earlier next time. If there is a problem with an item from the Manufacturer not being sent to them, they should e-mail the client and let them know the situation well in advance!!! Thank You for rushing this order out, my daughter was elated to open this on Christmas Day!!!
I would never consider using videogame central again after the horrible experience encountered when trying to order a gameseat from them. All they did was to keep calling me for price increases without any reasonable explanation or ability to answer questions as to why ,and when they did finally get me an answer it was Lies and more Lies.Their website is old and out of date and any phone calls to get info on a product was met with "I need to call you back cause I don't know." I felt like this was the first time anyone ordered this product from them. I finally canceled my order because of their lack of knowledgable customer service employees. Instead I was able to order directly from the manufacturer (who also had a poor opinion of videogame central ) without any problems or artificially inflated prices. So if you're considering using them make sure you are unable to get it from the manufacturer first before you - as a last resort - order anything from them (videogame central) and be sure you don"t mind paying more for less.I was able to find several items on their website for a lot less elsewhere without any of the hassles and untruths.
This company really needs to work on matching their website with their actual stock. After reading several feedbacks I see that my issue is the same as several other's. I ordered a nintendo ds from them, and when I didn't get a confirmation saying it was shipped I called them. They stated that the ds was not in stock and offered me another instead. This was ok to me, but it would have been nice to hear it from them instead of me having to call them about it. If I had not of called when I did, then I would not have recieved the ds in time for christmas. I also ended up paying more than I really wanted to in the first place. They were nice and helpful, but the situation was unneccessary, they could have marked the item as "out of stock" and none of this would have happened.
Simple process.I order a DS game,I get the confirmation email showing the status.They just forgot the Tracking number,Simple fix though.Overall I had a pretty good experience from these guys.Think I have another game I have to buy,Im going to look for it there for sure.
After hours of searching for a particular game, I found it on Videogamecentral. The price for the item was doubled that those I found searching the internet, but Videogamecentral was the only source that had the item in stock. I received ample emails regarding my purchase and delivery. I am satisfied with the company and will use it again in the future.

I ordered games from five different companies for Christmas. Even though I ordered games last from Videogamecentral, they came first to my house (all the way from New York to Washington State) and I didn't pay any more than the other companies. And their website was very easy to manuever through to find what I was looking for. Thank you!
Got the 3DS Pokemon Rumble for an awesome price and NOOOOOOBODY had it anywhere. Package came in three days even though I ordered standard ship. VideoGameCentral, I'm a fan!
I placed an order for a very hard to find game. Their website stated they had one. Almost a week after placing the order the game had still not arrived. When I went to the website to find out where my package was the order was still unfullfilled. I sent an email about this stating it was a gift for Christmas and when would I receive it. Was sent an email back that they were sorry but the game was out of stock and the website was incorrect. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Then went scrambling looking for another game and having to pay a higher shipping fee so to get it before Christmas. The next day they emailed saying they have the game and would ship it overnight. I appreciated the offer, but found this to be extremely frustrating.
The website said that it would be shipped in 24 hours. After a week, the order still says "not fulfilled". No explanation, no response to my email, phone number is constantly busy, and no way to cancel my order so that I can at least scramble and find another game somewhere else. Now my son won't get his gift from Santa in time!!
The item I ordered turned out to be one that they would not get in before the holidays. They worked with me to find a similar item and shipped out right away. Overall I'm very pleased with the service.
as of yet, it's been 8 days and my order status is still 'awaiting fulfillment'; with no update in status or communication from them.
I didn't wait 8 days to 'fulfill' my payment.
I'm going to wait a few more days, cancel my order, and go to Target.
