I was initially attracted by the good prices however they were great on service too, the staff when I called for advice were so helpful and I was updated with every stage of the packages progress, I found the products reviews useful and my Guinea Pigs are very happy in their home !!
I've ordered from Zooplus since returning to the UK in 2011. I found them through a blog, and found their prices to be the best for the items I wanted. Delivery was always fast, and never a problem.
When I unsubscribed from their email newsletters, I wrote to explain that it was because my cat had died very suddenly. Their response - not just condolences, but they did something they didn't have to do, totally unexpected, to show good will.
Buy from this company; you won't be disappointed.
I would really like to give no stars to this company, if possible!
I am sorry. I don t usually do this, but I ve decided that, if you let people get away with things, they ll never change! I have never dealt with a company that treats customers with such disdain.
Now for my case: I have been shopping online with Zooplus for a few months now and even became a member - which means that, for a certain fee you get a fixed discount each time you buy from them. They have some fantastic deals, but unfortunately there is a catch: they have the deal with a code and the same product out of the deal with a different code. How crazy is that? I had noticed it though, so I always made sure I was ordering the correct code. But I never thought they could actually change your order....
My last order was for a buy one get one free of a certain dog food. I put the number 2 in my box, meaning I should get 4 bags.
Two days later, I got my order delivered but I only had 2 bags!
Believing this had been a mistake and that would be quickly and willingly solved by them, I contacted them and explained the situation.
They replied that, "because they like to give their customers the option" of having the free gift OR NOT, there were two codes and I had selected the wrong code!
Well, I know I didn't - or that I definitely didn't intend to forgo the free bags ( I was opting for two of them at least! ), so I emailed them again saying that, one way or another, I was entitled for the free bags! They emailed me now saying that they can t change the order, even if I had made a mistake ( which, by the way, I KNOW I DIDN'T! ) and send me the FREE BAGS that I am entitled to.
Oh, and they gave a 5% discount voucher as a "gesture of goodwill". Except that there is no way I would ever trust them again. Period!
The deal is still on, so honestly I can only see it as being a scam! Am I being too harsh? Well, I don t know, but I am chasing it further, for I think it s scandalous and so unfair - and possibly illegal.. Customers shouldn t ever be treated like this...
Anyway, the message is, if you re going to buy from them, pray that they chose your order correctly, for if they don t, you could end up with the wrong thing and they will NOT help you!
I have been ordering from Zooplus now for over 2 years. Previously when you would order you would have to wait up to 14 days for items as they were coming from Germany to Ireland. However now they appear to have opened a warehouse in the UK and items are delivered much quicker.
I generally order cat litter and food only, both are a good price and I would not buy from anywhere else. One thing I did order which was crap was a cat litter box, it stated it was B stock so I should have known better. Another was a water/ food dispenser, they packed this with 30kg of litter and obviously it got destroyed. However Zooplus were quick to resolve issue so I cannot fault them too much.
We also order 2 cat trees, a medium one which has lasted 2 years and now fit for the bin it was not good quality but it was cheap so to be expected. We also ordered the Atlas one which goes up to ceiling and this one is used slightly less so it is lasting longer, but the material is starting to come away from the pouches. But at €80 it was great value and my cats love it. This was over €100 less on Zooplus than in a shop here in Ireland.
Det var en tillfällighet att jag hamnade på deras sida. Kom inte ihåg namnet på det jag egentligen skulle skriva och så hamnade jag på Zooplus.se. Tänkte inte på att det låg i Tyskland fören efteråt. Men till saken. Jag är glad över mitt fel! Bättre priser och ett stort urval. Kommer fram när det är beräknat. En vecka med alla små turer. Betalning via bank å transporter. Har bara handlat två gånger än men är helt nöjd. Embalagen, kartongerna, kan vara lite misshandlade men kolla direkt när det kommer fram så är zooplus behjälpliga med ev fel och glada över att man komenterar så att de kan se över transporterna. Fota om något ev är fel. Många är ju inblandade. Kommer fortsätta handla där. Har 4 katter och två stora kräsna hundar. Som övrigt så vill jag också säga, att deras sida är lätt att handla på. I have dealt with Zooplus - and been a very good customer - for a good many years, and have even recommended the company to others. However my last order (and it will certainly be the last) was not delivered, and Zooplus couldn't have cared less. Their attitude was "Well it will be delivered at some point", and that was it - despite my pointing out that I lived in a very rural area and was dependent on their deliveries for my cats' food and I had nearly run out. I had ordered in good time, as usual - but the delivery still hadn't been made nearly three weeks later.
Zooplus then refused to refund my money until the order was returned to them. I pointed out that the parcel was with their courier and the return of the parcel was between Zooplus and the courier company - I was a customer who had paid a lot of money to them and they had provided me with nothing for that money. It took a lot of perseverance and an angry telephone call to one of their supervisors before I even had the promise of a refund (although this has not yet happened).
Avoid at all costs, or you could end up in court trying to get your mooney back.

I used Zooplus for the first time. My delivery still hasnt arrived (2 weeks later). I enquired and they told me to contact their shody delivery company (Yodel). They also said that my delivery was delivered to my house and I was lying and if I wanted them to review my order I should fill out an affidavit. As a first time, potentially high spending customer, I was expecting more from them.
I highly recommend that you choose another company if you are looking for pet supplies as these people are completely useless. They use a very dodgy delivery company and dont give a damn about their customers or the level of service they provide...
I have a huge long string of emails for proof if anyone wants a shock. Too bad I cant give zero stars!

I've dealt with Zooplus for some time now and have, once again, received marvellous service when I recently made a mistake on my order. All their products are top notch and especially helpful are the customer reviews and photographs that guide you through your buying decision. You just can't go wrong with Zooplus.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to buy stuff for their pets, although personally I've only ever bought for cats.
They have a huge variety of stock for animals of all sizes, gimmicky and essential items. Their website is really easy to use and their prices are very reasonable.
I use it to bulk buy all my basics, litter, food etc but they also sell very reasonably priced toys, towers, beds etc. In terms of food hey have everything from the usual stuff that you can buy in the supermarket to the more expensive stuff that you usually have to buy from the vets or pet shop. They also do an excellent cheap version of 'Da Bird'. (best cat toy ever!)
I don't buy my flea/worming products from them as their range isn't great and I don't think they can sell the licensed stuff that you usually get from a vet, which I have found elsewhere. That is the only thing that prevents it from having 5 stars as it would be handy to be able to buy everything from one place.
The only problem I have ever had with them was with a rude Yodel delivery driver but you do have the option to use yodel or parcel force to deliver and as they are a separate company and everyone has the odd off day, so I have no problem awarding them 4 stars!
I like their variety, prices and they are very efficient, good with communication and delivery is always prompt.
They also tend to have great sales and reduced items and offers on all year round.

Jeg handler konsekvent på den engelske side, da jeg på trods af fragten på knap 10 britiske pund, sparer mere end hvad nogen dansk dyrehandel kan tilbyde. Det er endda oftest billigere end at handle på Zooplus' danske site qua valutakursen og forskel i prissætninger.
Jeg sparer altid i omegnen af 40 % ift. dansk normalpris på Royal Canins feline-produkter og udvalget er større, da man også kan købe specialfoderet i England, frem for som i Danmark at skulle købe det hos dyrlægen.
Bestillingen er ofte fremme inden for 3-4 hverdage og den ene gang jeg har haft problemer (en levering var efterladt uden for min bolig, i regnvejr, uden at det var aftalt og en emballage var blevet grundigt ødelagt) kvitterede Zooplus med en undskyldning og et gavekort på 10 pund. Dét er fin service, især fordi det egentlig var GLS' skyld (jeg henvendte mig, egentlig for at Zooplus kunne bringe klagen videre til GLS)
Zooplus hører til blandt mine bedste handelsoplevelser på nettet!

Recently purchased a corner cage from Zooplus.co.uk, price wise it was cheap, very cheap for the size of it, the quality of the cage was also good, delivery wise it was pretty quick (3 days), however, the packing of the cage could've been better, not zooplus fault, but the corner of the cage had been damaged due to being dropped, could do with abit better care and maybe better protection on the corners...
All in all i'd recommend Zooplus for most of your pet needs,just wish they'd stock Timothy Hay!!
I have always found Zooplus great to deal with. The site is easy to use, it has an AMAZING selection of items, great incentives for customers and I always found the customer service team lovely and polite. I was using Parcelforce but switched to Yodel only to have the parcel arrive a mere 2 days later! I can't think why I would ever find a reason to use another company, I am always happy with purchases and so are the beasts :D
I recently ordered several items from their website. A few hours after placing the order i learned that one of the items (a very large dog bed) was not the correct model. I tried several times to contact them but no one would respond to my repeated attempts to cancel the order
A week later the very large dog bed was delivered. I called them to arrange a return and explain that it should have never been delivered in the first place and it was unfair i should have to pay the MASSIVE shipping charges to return it. They denied ever having seen any of the emails i sent, though i have all of them showing delivered, and are forcing me to pay the return shipping charges even though it was their mistake.
Absolutely DREADFUL customer service. Take your money elsewhere.
I ordered an expensive parrot cage - some parts of a self-assembly cage arrived today. Zooplus will not tell me when the remainder (including, hopefully, assembly instructions) will be dispatched or delivered. They respond to email queries but fail to address the questions raised . I have concluded that their responses are deliberately misleading although I do not understand why. Possibly it might be due to a poor grasp of the English language. Whatever the reason I have no idea when I will have a complete cage. I would certainly not deal with this company again. Very poor customer relations.

Jeg har handlet på zooplus.co.uk i flere år og er super tilfreds. Der er mange penge at spare i forhold til de danske priser. I den tid jeg har handlet har der kun været små-problemer få gange og zooplus er altid villige til at rette fejlene (sende nye varer, give pengene tilbage osv).
Yodel are the default couriers for Zooplus & are completely useless. Change courier to Parcelforce if you want your goods to arrive. Yodel will dump delivery anywhere if they can't easily find address. Also,
they couldn't be more unhelpful when contacted - they won't do anything so simple as to ask driver what he's done with it so it can be quickly retrieved - have to go through Zooplus & there has to be an "investigation". Took 6 days to get parcel - driver had dumped it at Tool Station branch about 3 miles away - not easily confused with a residential address. There are loads of terrible reviews about them on consumer websites. However, have no complaints about how Zooplus dealt with the complaint - I can only assume they use Yodel as perhaps they are cheaper.

I am over the moon with Zooplus. From my point of order, to delivery, their service and communication was outstanding (unlike another pet company who I have recently had dealings with,who stole mine and others money).
They even checked the delivery times with the courier on my behalf!
Unbeatable price and service. I will definitely be reordering from them and highly recommend them to others. Well done Zooplus :-)
Jeg har brugt både den engelske og den tyske Zooplus (alt efter kursen, det kan godt svarer sig lige at kigge efter) i over 5 år.
Jeg sparer rigtig mange penge på Royal Canin foder til mine to katte, i forhold til danske priser, samt de har godt udvalg af legetøj og kradsetræer, som også er voldsomt billigere end her i Danmark.
Jeg har aldrig haft problemer med deres service! Jeg har en enkelt gang fået noget andet end hvad jeg bestilte (fik hundemad istedet for kattemad) jeg kontaktede kundeservice og de sendte straks hvad jeg handle bestilt og sagde jeg bare kunne beholde hundemaden (jeg havde en nabohund der blev vældig glad for mig den dag)
De får 5 stjerner for den helt perfekte service og gode tilbud.
We live in France and order from the UK site. The delivery is always incredibly quick. The dog food much cheaper than here and the pet products have been superb value for money and good quality. I saw the bad review and can only say that I have had nothing but kindness and efficiency from the customer services. They have been helpful to a fault.
I would recommend this site to anyone who has pets.
You can't change the order, even before it leaves them.
Let me start by saying, that I have done a lot of shopping here, and have always been very happy with this.
Last time I wanted to use some of my zooplus points and ordered a cat bed... Well it didn´t show up. I contacted costumer support and after 3-4 rude answers, I finally got a mail explaining that there is an error on the weppage ordering gifts. And now the first chok: they wont send it, and they wont make changes to an order, EVEN when it still havent left their warehouse!!!
I had to wait for the next order, which is now. And now they have raised the cost, when I originally ordered the gift, it was 350 points, now its 720 points !?!? Well I got them to give me the gift for same points as I originally ordered it.
I ordered last week, using my mastercard and contacted them, as they asked me to, so they manually could put the gift on my order, to be sure nothing went wrong... ALL went wrong.
It was to late to put the gift in the order, because they (and its a big company) refuse to put the gift in the order because I had already payed with creditcard!!! NEVER heard og a compagny who refuse to change an order, that havent left the warehouse... We are talking about 10 minutes from ordered!!!
They now say that the only way to put the gidt in, is a cancellation of my order, and to correct it manually - so far so good...
But now they've charged me for both orders, and even charged the wrong amount and won't co-operate with cancelling the wrong reservation on my card. They wont send a fax to my bank confirming that they have cancelled one of the orders?!?!?!
And in addition, they after a week still won't send me my correct order because one apartment can't see they already recieved the payment for it - twice. Now they say that my order havent left because they cant charge it on my creditcard.... THEY ALREADY DID... TWICE
The situation now: no pet food for my animals, being held hostage for more than £520, and it is christamas!!!
So my animals have no food and litter, and I cant buy christmas gifts, this i really the WORST service I have experienced EVER... and I do almost all my shopping online.
Hope none of the other costumers ever have any faults in their orders, because THEN their problems starts.

Excellent service. Delivery is free over a certain value of goods, which mine always are. Very reliable. Never had a problem with them. It is up to you as the purchaser to make sure the goods you buy are suitable for the special diet your pet needs - they do not provide help with that. I have used them many times.
Our cat is overjoyed with our new cat tree we have just taken delivery of from Zoo Plus.
We regulary use them for cat food, which is also a very good quality product and it always delivered on time as promised.

Har oftes handlende på Zooplus.co.uk fordi de har produkter som James Wellbeloved, som jeg ikke pt. kan købe på Zooplus.dk. Eller Zooplus.de for den sags skyld.
Ydermere spare jeg oftes penge på visse produkter - i forhold til den danske og tyske side. Så meget, at det kan betale sig, at betale den porto der skal til, for at sende det til Danmark.
Fragttiden er en lille uges tid for mit vedkommende. Det er acceptabel.
When looking for replacement Heat bulbs or Floresent UV Compact bulbs i always buy from here. The local pet shops charge around £10 for one Exo terra Heat bulb (red) where there only £5.49 on this site. When i order from here i order in bulk as me and my girlfriend have reptiles and its always best to keep some stock of these bulbs as your reptile relys on the heat. Would recommend this company for your reptile bulb needs.
I've bought quite a bit of stuff here and it's all been spot on - apart from a cat tree which arrived damaged (inside the box - not in transit).... This is where they were onto a real winner.... They were empathetic, apologetic (to the extent that they said they hoped it didn't put me off dealing with them in the future) arranged a day to pick up the offending object - That's what I call service !
they are good and i often order from them BUT! i got a pack there was a hole in it and there was a hole in my cat food... >:( and there wash 4 air thins there are Security for that there not are going to destroy something but 2 of them was there a hole in so they was flat
