We purchased a Bagatelle board from a different company about 30 years ago, when our children were young. The game was very popular with children, both then and now. However, it suffered from not being robust. This is where the Jacques version is so much better - it is well made, from quality materials - it looks and feels very robust, yet is aesthetically appealing. On top of this there is sufficient left right up down movement in the plunger to put the various spins on the balls that are part of the skill of playing. I am certain that it will last many decades, so it can be passed on through the generations!
Both children and adults love the game, and modern children are as enthusiastic about it now, as our children were 30 years ago.
