Virginmedia
Went above and beyond to get us good service.
After having 2 V+ boxes within 6 months, 2 young engineers came to fix the problem, these engineers (1male & 1 female) were the best ever in over 14 years of Telewest then VirginMedia, they tried EVERYTHING to get a better picture on our TV. In the end they tried a Tivo box, we were thinking about a Tivo anyway, but just hadn`t got round to it, they installed one as an upgrade and we didn`t have to pay a penny, just the £3 a month upgrade. Tivo isn`t worth the £3 a month extra but our picture is the best ever, and there`s no more problems with recordings. SA* & ADA* (last letter omitted) deserve 10 stars.
Ebay
Ebay are good, pity about some sellers.
I`ve recently ordered many items from Ebay, I was let down by 1 seller as they showed a photo and sold some items before the auction end, another decided that the price wasn`t high enough so put a £50 postage cost on the item. I`ve won others which were sold as Like New but came so damaged they were unuseable. I`ve also sold a few things on Ebay, I`m picky and always describe them down to every last mark, Royal Mail made the mistake of not getting a signature on delivery(although I`d paid for signed for) and Paypal gave them the money back without me even getting my say, and showing that I`d paid for the postage. Unfortunately, this happens quite a lot and genuine sellers cannot warn future sellers about the thieves. Bad on ebay for allowing this to happen, but you can also get some bargains from great sellers.
Amazon
Camera price was even better than Argos
We wanted underwater cameras for our upcoming holidays.
Amazon price £124.99 (at the time) Argos price £139.99. Currys price £159.99 all the same item, bought from Amazon, delivered next day and as we had purchased 3, we managed to buy extra memory cards too. Would recommend Amazon everytime.
