Unsimlocking my phone with the code from my provider didn't work at all. I was wondering if GSMLiberty would really help me or if it was a scam. I talked with a guy who told me that 1/ it would definetely work 2/ there was a money-back guarantee... So I gave it a try!

DISCLAIMER: This is my personal experience. Most phones will unlock instantly with a simple code. I am just saying that support guys are going to be very helpful is there is any issue!

At first I was disappointed that the codes I got were the same than what my provider gave me. I came back to support and Mark T. was simply amazing. He helped me a lot, asked me to try a few things, and finally told me it would be easier to unsimlock the phone with special software.

I booted into Windows and followed the very precises instructions I received by email. At some point in the process I didn't find my phone model, and another support guy (Ethan P.) pointed out that it was below the elements I showed him. The next issue I got in is that the phone needs to be rooted, which I did after finding a nice post on androidadvices.com. The "Read UnlockCodes" didn't work, but the software asked me to try "Direct Unlock". It worked perfectly and I am now a happy Free Mobile (awesome french carrier) user!
