Apple

Design icon, bettered only by the service

I've just bought a MacBook Air and couldn't be more pleased with it. But what makes it outstanding is Apple's customer service - whether by phone or by visiting an Apple Store, the team's enthusiasm and knowledge is infectious. I'm not up to speed with technology - too old for that - but I feel comfortable with the MacBook Air. And I never thought I'd ever say that about a laptop!

Marksandspencer

They're still at the top - and no wonder!

Whatever some people say, a trip into town wouldn't be the same if M&S was absent. The quality of their furniture is superb - my sofa and nest of tables will definitely see me out - and the range of clothes is equally good, especially when the Sales are on. My only gripe during Sales is that too often the men's range is more limited than the women's! And if all that wasn't enough, Cafe Revive provides a perfect latte and iced bun. But there's more, all sorts of different services including foreign currency cash machines (at my local branch) and cheaper gas & electricity tariffs. No wonder M&S remains so popular!

Amazon

Very good service - but not always best value

Very good service overall although I did have an issue about returning a DVD that I discovered was not suitable for UK players and it was never resolved. But overall, the service is swift even if the prices aren't always the cheapest. Product reviews are a useful guide and I know I can trust the delivery service.

Cult Pens

Who Needs Amazon?

I needed a new mechanical pencil and Faber-Castell is a name I trust, so my first stop to check out prices was Amazon. Big mistake! Plenty of choice, of course, but the prices were way above those of Cult Pens. The pencil I chose was 25% off list and and not only that, there was also a free gift of a set of Faber-Castell office equipment!

The Cult Pens website was clear and so easy to navigate and, once I'd ordered, I was kept fully informed about delivery. A tracking number was provided and when the products arrived, I found another surprise. Cult Pens had added a third free gift - a pen keyring.

If you're after quality fountain pens, ball points, felt-tips, pencils - all things stationery - then visit the Cult Pens website and you can be confident of 5-star service. I'll definitely use Cult Pens again - and yes, my Faber-Castell mechanical pencil is brilliant!
