I started brewing at home last year 2011. I have been really impressed with the quality of beer I have brewed at home. After the initial costs of setting up, about £50 inc the beer kit I can brew at about 25p a pint! , increasing depending on the higher quality of kit. The more expensive kits usually don't need added sugar and produce fuller bodied beer. It's good fun and really rewarding!
Goodlife Homebrew is the first and last, the one stop shop, it has absolutely all you need and more plus freindly service. I took my wife once she was impressed too, lots of small measures of liquor for cooking with so you don't need to buy a big bottle from the supermarket, she also liked the spirit mixers, turn cheap vodka into delicious liquor.
Highly recommend a visit.
