Firefly is NOT Malaysia airlines

Put simply, we booked a flight from phuket to KL, and having paid over $360 Australian, pp, with Malaysia airlines. only to find out that we were booked with their budget airline, firefly, on a tiny plane. Very expensive for very budget. Very misleading

I agree, You expected a wide body aircraft and where squeezed in a Dash. Disappointing - I would have felt the same.
In fact Malaysia Airlines showed under the flight number MH9899 and MH9889 no sign of a code share with Firefly. Our system takes this information from a GDS a General Reservation Network where all airlines partizipate, and it looks like Malaysia Airlines there did not identify those flight numbers as a code share with Firefly.
Could be a loading error by Malaysia Airlines. We will investigate and ask them to rectify this.

I am really sorry for that.
