I ordered a Canon 550d from this site on April 3rd. I received an email confirmation and the money was taken from my account seconds later. In the email I was advised that the camera would be "shipped within 1-2 working days and delivered within 2-7 working days".
On the 19th of April, I still had not received either the camera or even an order update. When I contacted the company by phone I was told I'd be waiting for 58 mins and to call back in that time and my place in the que would be help. When I called back I was given the exact same wait time which I found suspicious so I tried their Sales line and was speaking with a representative within 3 minutes. They are very happy and eager to take your order and your money, but not to fulfill it.
I was told that the sales dept couldn't help but they'd get someone to email me with an update. 2 days later (18 days after the order was placed) I was told my item had not even been shipped!
I requested that the order be cancelled there and then and that's when the "customer service" really got bad. I was stonewalled, no responses by email for days until despite me sending 4/5.
Finally today, 30th of April I received an email confirming my order had been cancelled, still no sign of a refund but have spoken to my bank and they assured me they will deal with it.
After my experience and seeing what others have posted here and on many other forums I cannot understand how a company like this is getting away with this sort of behaviour on a seemingly daily basis! Who is monitoring these companies?
