Solopress

Organised and fast quality printing though not all was made clear in the beginning.

I wanted business cards, flyers, letterheads and compliments slips printed as was recommended Solopress. The quotation process was very fast and I sent colour files by email and asked if they were acceptable. I did not hear back until I was sent a proof of the business card. I did not approve it as the colours were not right and there was grey banding across the card. I was made aware by one of the printing staff that Adobe Illustrator files will retain much better quality to the printed product than the Adobe Photoshop files which I had sent. I then re-sent the files but in Adobe Illustrator format. I was then told that the letterheads and compliments slips had already been printed (no proof was sent) and it was too late to change them. I was not very happy about this.

I received the compliments slips and letterheads in time and the business cards took an extra two days plus the long jubilee weekend so arrived 6 days later and then had to be forwarded on to Switzerland. I am very happy with the business cards. The stationary does not look as good as I had hoped. The flyers turned out very good.

Dear Tom,

Thank you very much for the feedback.

I am sorry to hear that you were not 100% happy with your final product. I have had a look into the situation at hand and deeply apologise that the matter has not been dealt with as a matter of urgency.

Unfortunately, when printing on either uncoated stock/ pulp the ink is absorbed more making the colour appear darker than on screen.

For future jobs that are on uncoated stock we would be more than happy to send you a proof before going to print to give more of an idea as to how the final product will look.

This way we can make sure that we colour match. As explained with all pulp products it is hard to colour match 100% due to the ink been absorbed.

I hope the above clarifies the questions you have raised and trust the query has now been resolved.

If there is anything else I can help you with please do not hesitate to contact me, we value your custom and look forward to working with you in the future.

Kindest Regards
