Poor poor service, I will not use, ever!

I will not buy from an online retailer that uses Yodel to ship. I ALWAYS check first before ordering, who the carrier is.
Yodel are used by suppliers because they are cheap.
I have had nothing but problems in the past with deliveries not turning up, even when they are 'out for delivery', according to their website.
I have had real difficulty in getting to speak to anyone on any of the 3 numbers that I found on the website.
When you send comments and complaints using their forms on the website, no response is ever forthcoming. No apology, explanation, nothing.
The poor excuses given for non-delivery are also lamentable. Once I was told that an order was never collected from the supplier because it was 'too heavy', yet it showed up as out for delivery twice. It was a set of DVDs, weighing no more than 4kg! Unbelievable.
We have also had parcels thrown over the garden gate and just left in the rain. Goods have been damaged and had to be returned.
Whenever there is a non-delivery, there is NEVER a card saying that delivery was attempted, but nobody was at home to sign for it.
I have yet to see a Yodel van, they all seem to be subcontracted, as on the odd occasion that there was a delivery (late), the doorbell was rung, but the driver didn't wait for the door to be opened, it was just dumped on the doorstep and the van has always been a white transit...
Terrible service, no wonder DHL don't openly put their name to the Yodel brand!

Excellent Service, Great Prices

Excellent prices, cheapest for Royal Canin cat food that I could find on the 'net, free delivery on a next-day service!
I called to see whether they had stock of the 3 different types of Royal Canin that I wanted and they had only two, but that the third would be in stock tomorrow, so all could be shipped tomorrow.
The sales assistant was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, taking my order over the phone.
Order arrived via City-Link the following day. Completely trackable and with email updates as to it's whereabouts.
I will never buy online from any company that uses Yodel to ship goods, due to the extensive problems I have had in the past, so I always check up first, before ordering.
Yodel = cheap and poor service, City-Link = quality carrier, next day delivery and free of charge.

Good service, good product.

Products arrived promptly after initial call stating that one product was out of stock. Agreed to replace with a different colour.
One product was received damaged and has been promptly replaced without question. Replacement arrived today, after notification 2 days ago.
Cannot help thinking that with better packaging, the damage could have been avoided, this being the only negative.
Phone staff friendly and efficient.
