The Portable Penetrator stand-alone and VMware based product lines offered by SecPoint have allowed us to better support our customers through the quick identification of technical vulnerabilities within a variety of internetworked client environments. The ease of use and adaptability of the Penetrator suite allows us time and time again to quickly identify technical issues and focus on resolving those issues, ensuring that from a technical aspect, our clients remain secure and compliant.
After working within the information security industry for the past 20 years, I can say that SecPoint provides an outstanding product and a superb support staff. Often I have had vendors tell me “this is what it can do” only to discover shortfalls or hidden costs associated with what it is supposed to do. The Portable Penetrator line only makes both business and security sense. The SecPoint Penetrator is one of the tools we have in our toolkit. Having the ability to meet a variety of compliance requirements and identify weaknesses before the bad guys do only makes solid business sense.
We offer a wide range of Governance, Risk Management and Compliance services; our engagements cover a number of compliance requirements businesses, to include: PCI, SOX, and HIPAA. We have found that the SecPoint product line is able to be leveraged to support a number of these initiatives, allowing us to provide our customers the assurance they need to know they are compliant.
The hardware platform has a very attractive form factor for working within the wireless penetration space. The underlying operating system is rock solid with a very intuitive web-based interface that “just makes sense” for conducting technical security evaluations and assessments. The VMware version is compact and ready to go for project engagements and is a complimentary to our tool suite.
When I first started talking with Victor and the team at SecPoint I was told that if I ever had any questions, problems or feature sets added, they’d respond. So being the cynic that I am, I went into “vendor sales mode” and listened to what they stated about their product and support capabilities at SecPoint. When I started working with the SecPoint team, I was more than pleasantly surprised that they were open to adding additional feature sets. In troubleshooting the system during a update, the SecPoint team was there to support and assist, late into both our evenings.
What I have since discovered is that the SecPoint Team not only has a solid suite for ensuring security, but that they are committed to building relationships and developing their system to meet the needs of information security professionals around the globe.
