Incorrect and rotten ingredients, absurdly poor customer service

In 2 of the meals, the veggies were rotten upon arrival. In 2 other meals, there were missing and incorrect ingredients so I couldnt make the meals. Customer service's response after 3 different emails was finally... drumroll... an $8 credit.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. A strange object was found inside a carrot from Blue Apron. Been trying since January 20 to find out what it was. Sent company photos and mailed them the item itself. Their final answer “no additional information .....” is inconclusive and unacceptable.

Received Spoiled Food for Weeks -

The last 4 or 5 deliveries we were supposed to receive from this company came spoiled and warm and many days late. We kept receiving refunds and delay notifications. Eventually we just cancelled because it was more trouble to keep contacting them about rotten food showing up at our house. Not sure how they are in business.

I really like their meal prep kits as a…

I really like their meal prep kits as a convenient form of food delivery service, but over the years the quality of produce has decreased and this has become less a "blue apron" gourmet experience.

Choose Hello Fresh if you want easier prep. I learned a lot more about cooking skills from the first several years of the service. This has changed as Blue Apron has become more like its competitors, so would base your choice on meal selection and convenience.

Every meal is delicious

Every meal is delicious. Instructions are easy to follow.On the rare occasion there is an issue, customer support has been perfect. I have used other kits but always come back.

I could just copy one of the previous complaints. I also was just researching food delivery companies. Then Blue Apron sent me an e-mail stating my order had shipped... WHAT! I was considering them again, but now HELL NO! My credit card is out of date, good luck blue apron!

Wish I could give less than 1

Wish I could give less than 1! My son bought us a $100 gift certificate in May. We tried to use it but an error message came up saying the number was invalid. He made a phone call and was told it would now work. I tried to use it today, 7 months later, and got the same error message. I contacted customer service to cancel my membership (which you have to set up and include credit card information in order to order). They supposedly canceled. We shall see. There was no apology; no effort to look into it or make it right. I’d never use this company and I would never ever buy anyone a gift card. Worst customer service I’ve had from a company in ages.

Very convenient way to try new dishes

Very convenient way to try new dishes. They include the ingredients and recipe you need to make it at home.
My issue is the quality control. Every few months they forget an ingredient in the box. Also, the price Is more than alternative services.
Their wine delivery service is cool: slightly smaller bottles and you get to try a new wine.
I wish they had a dessert service though I’m not sure how that could work.

Atrocious Customer Service

If I were able to give zero stars I would have done that. My account was reactivated without me activating it.I cancelled my account many months ago as I felt this company was too expensive. I unsubscribed to Blue Apron emails months ago. I did recently do some research regarding different food delivery companies that provide gluten free meals and I believe that is when Blue Apron reactivated it . I noticed Blue Apron emails in my yahoo account and thought that they started sending again even tho I had unsubscribed. I received a package and charged for two shipments I did not order.Only upon receipt of the box did I open my emails to find an offer to "reactivate with the click of a button" and a follow up email saying "welcome Back" . Mind you I NEVER reactivated. Blue apron has failed to cooperate with solving this issue. It was almost impossible to cancel the account. They make it extremely difficult to cancel. Even tho you cancel they retain your charge card information. I have had to cancel my charge card because of this and issue a complaint via VISA. The customer service regarding this issue was atrocious . I would highly recommend Sun Basket Home Chef and Green Chef

I had purchased blue apron meals for my parents. The meals were fine but not to their liking. I’m rating it a 1 star because it cost me $37 to cancel it!!! This is important to know. I have NEVER encountered this before.

Very dissatisfied

I only received 3 shipments from Blue Apron. The last 2 shipments were not the meals I picked. In the 2 meals where I got kale, 1 had a dead grasshopper in it and the other had a dead beetle. I was constantly missing ingredients like garlic, tomato and olives. The food was not that fresh. The reason I tried this meal delivery was that everything was included, food would be fresh and I wouldn't have to go to the store. Personally, for me, the food and seasonings are not that great. Add to the fact that I didn't get the meals I picked and paid for. I cancelled my account since their resolution was to offer me $30 off future deliveries. I was very dissatisfied with their meals, delivery and business tactics.

The amount of options always surprises me! I absolutely love using this service and for any single person looking for an easy at home meal - this is the way to go.

Disappointing

I ordered 6 weeks in advance and they canceled 5 days prior to the scheduled delivery siting no reason. I reached out to their customer service and they stated they just ran out of resources.

Unacceptable.

This was for my elderly parents who can’t go out due to Covid. Now they have no food for that week.

Worst delivery service

I decided to test out Blue Apron to spice up dinner. What a big mistake. Now in the third week. Meals are arriving three days late and when they finally show up it is 9pm at night. I have small kids. How am I supposed to start cooking and have them eating at 10pm? Just a complete joke.

Poor delivery standards and shady cancellation policy!

Constantly missing ingredients and/or the recipe cards. The last two deliveries have been completely thawed leaving everything soaked and unsafe to consume. I tried to cancel on their website and found out we must email them "to get further instructions on how to cancel". This just gives them the opportunity to beg and asked endless questions as another hurdle to cancellation. After cancellation I got charged again and the food that showed up was fully thawed, no recipe cards, with none of the meat that was required for the recipes. Absolute worst meal delivery service, do not try them out!!

UPDATE 7/20: Charged AGAIN after "confirmation" on their end that this awful service has been cancelled. I will be contacting my credit card's security team to resolve the matter at this point. Their cancellation practice should be, and probably is, illegal.

I like the food alot but you must be…

I like the food alot but you must be careful with dishes that give you vingar sometimes you don't need the vinger or you only need a sprinkle not the whole bottle tasty food well portioned delivery is on time and easy to use if your dyslexic or have autsim spectrum like me it was easy for me to follow instructions also I have Serve allgeries to onions and tomatoes if you have food allgeries easy to make dish without allgeriens. Would buy again

After moving to Bay Area

After moving to Bay Area, one of my friends recommended Blue Apron and I gave it a try. (I wouldn't have tried it on my own as I am vegan). I am currently blown away with the meals that I have had till date. Would strongly recommend it.
