Worst rental firm ever to be found
Worst rental firm ever to be found. Horrendously rude people, scams you for damages not caused by you, tries to sell you double insurances.
If you think it’s a cheep option - wait until the final bill arrives.
They just do their work
It took 10 minutes to get a car. The car was just what I expected. All my questions were answered immediately and in a clear way, even those which I asked by email. The service just works. Smoothly.

Extremely disappointed in the service i required from this company...
I booked online for a 2 day rental car and it was meant to cost me £37 (including FULL COVERAGE ON INSURANCE) until I got to the office to pick it up, they were having trouble accepting my credit card so they told me i would have to pay 48 instead of only £37 and an additional £200 for a deposit, with having issues with my credit card I said ok sure...
Until I went onto my bank and saw that they had charged me both fees of £37
And £48, so I questioned this when I dropped of the car just for the woman to call me a liar to my face, I tried to explain to her what was said to me by her colleague and she simply said no he didn't! Sorry darling, I didn't realise you were there for that conversation! But I am so glad she told me i could contact customer service if I want. Thanks for the advice.
Honestly best scam ive seen yet, talk about hidden fees!!! Thieves
Save your money and your holiday and book with someone else
Save your money and your holiday and book with someone else.
1. Left at Gran Canaria airport with no way of contacting. Tried calling 17 times over the period of an hour but got "line busy" every time, and no shuttle turned up at the scheduled pickup point to take us to the office, even though we'd landed well before the office closing hours and left our flight number on the booking. Had to book a €50 taxi to Maspalomas
2. Refused to drop off at Maspalomas, so spent most of our first day on holiday getting the bus/walking all the way back to the office to pick the car up
3. On arrival to the office, we were told the car we'd booked was no longer available and we'd have to pay an extra €37 for another - even though we were told first thing on the phone that it was and that the office would be told we'd be coming. We didn’t receive a single apology either over the phone or at the office for any of the above, just a shrug of the shoulders.
4. Car given was full of dents and scratches. On dropoff we were told we'd have to pay €360 (!!?) for the tiniest mark on the boot, which wasn't picked up when taking photos of the car, presumably as it was so battered in the first place and the mark was so miniscule. To add insult to injury they decided to take £381.50 out of my account (I guess for good measure). Presumably this is how they make their money – it is nothing short of a scam.
5. We detailed all the above in an email to the complaints team, requesting that they reconsider the charges unfairly billed to us. Predictably, we received no response from them.
Lesson learned – we’ll be booking with a reputable company next time.
Price & Quality
Always fast en the best price/quality.
The only thing is the booking system if you want to add a day or want changes.
Nice clean car Audi A1
Nice clean car Audi A1, with full insurance.
Friendly staff at rental Office ALC.
Will be back for new rental in February.
Appalling customer service
We rented a car in Seville for two days in November, and the employee did not tell us when we picked up the car that the office was moving. When we returned the car with all our luggage, we found the office closed. After calling the company, we learned that the office had changed locations.
We wanted to file a complaint, but there were no complaint forms available, which is not legal in Spain.
The staff also lied to us, saying that they had tried to contact us to let us know. The customer service was appalling.
Flexible and nice
Flexible and the woman who assisted us in the Maria Zambrano office was very helpful.
SCAM!!! AVOID!
The clerk did not want to accept my credit card because it expired at the end of March, saying that it must have at least 4 months of validity, practically two days short of four months.
After I asked him to give his name, he refused and the conversation turned into an argument. After that, he refused to let me take the car with the full insurance, also many hidden costs, even if you bring back the car with full tank they charge you 35 euro.Avoid this car rental company, it's a scam and also don't use third part brokers like doyouspain they are a scammer too.
DO NOT USE!
DO NOT USE!! On dropping off the car they discovered a chip on the windscreen - we were warned on collection but another unhappy client that this is their latest way to scam you. We had photos of this when we collected the car. However we were ushered onto the courtesy bus and told to email the evidence. Deposit was taken from our credit card. No response to my emails. I involved the bank and the third party booking agent. 6 weeks later they refunded the money. If this has happened to you keep being persistent they should not be allowed to operate in this manner
Unjust charge of €243 and refusal to provide the car despite meeting contract conditions
I am writing this review to share a deeply disappointing experience with Click & Rent involving my booking (DYS-190495036), made through DoYouSpain, for a car pick-up at Ibiza Airport on 3 October 2025.
Although the full amount of my reservation — including Platinum insurance — was paid in advance, I was refused the vehicle at the counter, and subsequently denied any refund, despite clearly meeting the contractual conditions stated in my DoYouSpain voucher.
When I arrived at the Click & Rent office around 16:10–16:40, I was assisted by a female employee who informed me that they do not accept debit cards under any circumstances, and that I needed a credit card to pay the €1,200 deposit. This directly contradicts what was written in my contract with DoYouSpain, which clearly states that the deposit can be paid with a physical debit card in the name of the driver when Platinum insurance is purchased — which was exactly my situation.
I showed the employee two physical debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) in my name, yet she refused them. Later, DoYouSpain told me that Click & Rent does accept debit cards under these conditions, meaning the information I was given at the counter was simply incorrect.
To make matters worse, when I contacted Click & Rent and DoYouSpain afterwards, I received different explanations every time — including claims that I had no debit card at all, or even that I had not shown up to collect the vehicle. Both statements are completely false. The office cameras would clearly show the employee holding my debit card while refusing it.
I spent considerable time calling, emailing, and trying to resolve this — none of which received a meaningful response. The result:
• No car provided
• Incorrect information given by Click & Rent staff
• Contradictory and misleading explanations
• A complete lack of customer support
• €243.21 taken for a service I was not allowed to use
This situation is not just frustrating but unacceptable. The refusal happened due to an internal mistake of Click & Rent staff, not due to any failure on my part, and therefore the charge should be refunded in full.
I sincerely hope Click & Rent reviews what happened in their Ibiza Airport office and takes responsibility for this error. At minimum, I expect the immediate refund of the €243.21 I paid for a service I was prevented from using due to misinformation provided by their own staff.
Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Clear communication, consistency, and basic customer service are essential — and unfortunately, none of these were delivered in my experience.
Given a very dirty and high mileage car
I have used Click on two occasions and found the service from the staff very very good, the ease of pick up and drop off was excellent.
But on my last hire the car was not acceptable with over 75000km on the clock and very dirty, all the door shuts and boot shut were very dirty, the windows internally were only wiped over in the centre and you could not see the state of them until you got the window into direct sunlight, finally the drivers seat had a very large stain on it, when telling the staff on return this was all ignored.
Highly recommend - repeat customer
Fast efficient service. No issues. Great value and polite staff
STAY AWAY FROM THIS RENT A CAR IN…
STAY AWAY FROM THIS RENT A CAR IN IBIZA!!! 🚨 I've had terrible experiences with them and I'm still fuming about it. They tried to scam us with a ridiculous "gasoline deposit" of 85 euros, claiming we'd get it back if we returned the tank full. Guess what? We did return it full, but they kept making excuses and never refunded a single euro. 🤬
It's clear they're running a scam, preying on tourists who don't know better. I've read reviews from others who've had the same experience, and it's outrageous that they're still getting away with it. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and rent from someone else. Don't fall victim to their tricks!
The best car rental company overall
The best car rental company overall. Used their services for the third time - always without any problem. They do not try to scam you in comparison to the competition.
P.S. One time, I received a car with some stains on the driver's seat, but it can happen.
I can recommend this company for being trustworthy, clear about agreement terms that they actually follow, and for giving you valuable tips in case something goes wrong.
Poor business ethics and communication
Poor business ethics and communication. Delivering a car with a number of scratches and damages is by itself no problem, we did not request a new car. But not handing out a full documentation of existing damages, but sending it by mail, removing our possibilities to detect the numerous damages before leaving site, is clearly a bad business procedure. Despite pictures of all damages before pick up, Clickrent claimed our Excess penalty, and did not reply on mails before 1 month later.
Truely Awful Company
Truely awful company - like many others here I was charged for damages that I did not cause to the value of £1800. Do not use this company! Scam rip off merchants! For anyone that has come here looking for advice AFTER falling victim to these con artists instigate a charge back with your credit card company. Mine was successful.
Friendly staff
We use Clickrent often when we fly to Asturias or Galicia and are always very satisfied with the easy online reservations and the service we receive from the very friendly staff. Just one thing at Asturias airport both times we have had to wait a long time to be picked up to be taken to the office.
⚠️ Avoid ClickRent in Tenerife
Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal experience with ClickRent, Atogo, near the airport in Tenerife.
Avoid ClickRent for the following reasons:
- When picking up the car, you are requested to pay for additional insurance with "full coverage", which would have cost me around €20 per day. This insurance is usually unnecessary because you are typically already insured by your travel company (e.g., LastMinute, ADAC).
- If you do NOT pay for the additional insurance, an outrageous deposit is blocked on your credit card (in my case, €1,000 for a Fiat 500). You have to have this amount available on your credit card account and cannot use it during your vacation!
- When I returned the car, I was charged €480 in insurance damages because the car (already run 30,000 km), was scratched ON THE BOTTOM. In this case, I was absolutely certain that I did not cause this damage because I was very careful with the car. I felt that this was fraudulent business practice, but of course I can only speak for myself (more details below).
- The rental and return location is 3 km from the airport (Atogo), and the shuttles run regularly, but you still have to allow about an hour extra for arrival and departure.
- ClickRent Customer Care did not respond to my complaint. However, they sent me at least the damage statement upon request.
If you still decide to rent from ClickRent despite my warning above:
- Check beforehand whether the car is already insured by the travel agent. Categorically refuse any additional insurance when picking up the car (they are very persistent because they earn extra money from it). When we were there, EVERY renter in front of us in the queue was asked, which was very time-consuming.
- When you take over the car, film it thoroughly from all angles and take DETAILED PHOTOS of the wheels and any existing damages. Also take photos from all wheels and sides, also UNDER THE CAR. Keep the photos for a few weeks after the rental.
- Allow plenty of time, especially when returning the car.
And here is my subjective story, which I also sent to ClickRent (no response):
And here is my subjective story, which I also sent to ClickRent (no response):
When I rented the car on October 19, 2025, I received a Fiat 500 with 30.000km in good external condition. To avoid any problems when returning the car later, I filmed it all around (there are always a few small dents or scratches).
I was completely satisfied with the car and we treated it very well.
Therefore, I did not expect any complaints when returning the car. When Alexandru C inspected the car upon return, he first pointed to a coin sized dent and claimed that I had caused it. I was able to show it to him on my cell phone video from pickup. He found nothing else, unteil he bent down at the hood and looked under the car. The front bumper was pretty scratched along its entire width from underneath.
I had the strong impression that Alexandru C was LOOKING for damage that couldn't be seen in my video and photos when I rented the car. Because these scratches can't be seen from the outside, only when you bend down. I did not make any scratches on the car at all – how could I have scratched THE ENTIRE bumper in one week of careful driving and careful parking? These are many old scratches that were caused by 30,000 km of use.
Unfortunately, I can't prove that the scratches weren't there before, as I didn't photograph the car “from below” before renting it. Does Clickrent require its renters to photograph the car from all sides, including the underbody, so that they cannot be charged for minor insurance claims afterwards? And how does the employee know that the damage amounts to exactly €480? It's all very strange.
I can't prove this, but I could bet that the bumper won't be repaired either, instead the damage will be charged to the next renter. I also had the impression that the rude and arrogant employee Alexandru C took advantage of the renters' time constraints before their flight to get them to quickly sign a damage report.
