Fluke Electrical test equipment Customer Service Department
Most people never need a high end electrical tester. Fluke instruments have been generally regarded as the industry gold standard for testing equipment for many years, based on their quality build and calibration, and customer service. I would not normally spend the money on Fluke as I am not a professional electrician, and cannot justify spending thousands of pounds on a multimeter that I would never need or understand. However I did see both an impulse voltage detector and a socket tester made by them, at a more reasonable cost. as I was in need of both of these, I thought it reasonable to spend the extra and get Fluke as opposed to the cheaper opposition, based on their reputation and industry respect. After a few months I stumbled across a you tube video by an electrician, saying that Fluke had issued a recall on the SM100/200/300 socket testers due to a possible shock hazard, and that they were offering a T90 tester as a replacement. I went to their site and filled out the appropriate form to return my instrument. Weeks passed, so I revisited the site, and filled out another form and tried again. --Nothing. I contacted the sales department of the main Fluke agent and their manager sent an E mail to Fluke Service asking them to deal with my case, on which he copied me in. ----Still Nothing. I tried phoning them 4 times, couldn't get through. I E Mailed them, got a reply back saying they would deal with it.--- Nothing, weeks and weeks past. I tried again, got a contact in the Customer service team who asked me to return the item for replacement. Which I did, at my expense (Although in fairness they did offer to collect). More weeks have passed still .....Nothing. I am absolutely disgusted with fluke and their customer service. They produce and retail a product which is potentially dangerous, then show no regard for the end users safety. They used to be the industry leader, personally I wouldn't touch Fluke with a 10ft barge pole. unless you want to be ripped off.
