I was a customer of GloFox for 2 years. They increased the price by over 100% following my 2nd year with them. They are only interested in big gyms rather than smaller fitness studios. They are far too expensive. You are better off going to TeamUp which is 40% the cost of Glofox and use mailchimp as a marketing platform. When I left Glofox, they wanted to charge me £600 to transfer members payment details. TeamUp, do not charge.

Hands down, the absolute worst CRM software on the market. Reporting is basic and doesn't allow any business to view any of their essential data without paying for extortionate add-ons.
Constant mistakes undertaking basic tasks which have cost our business thousands in the last 12 months. We have seen our membership shrink as a direct result of the incompetence and lack of understanding Glofox has demonstrated.
The customer service is slow when there is a problem and communication is worse than poor. But, if you contact the sales department for any reason, there's someone on hand INSTANTLY! Surprise surprise.
This company is only interested in milking their clients and has no concern or accountability for their own failings.
If you want your business to thrive and grow both financially and in terms of membership numbers, stear well clear of Glofox.
Our business has now left Glofox but the last 10 months of constant errors has cost our business between £30,000 to £40,000. Horrendous experience, terrible service, shocking ethics, and simply downright unprofessional.
Oboarding Process Left Alone
The onboarding process is not hands on, you must learn there software on your own. Good luck getting answers for any problems you may have while using the software. It has been over a week without resolution of a scheduling issue where the client booked an appointment but the trainer and admin never had it on the calendar.
I started a new spa and infrared Hot Yoga business in July 2024. The sales team tells you everything you want to hear boasting support, ease and profitability. My onboarding rep was not knowledgeable and frequently responded to my questions with “I’ll find out” and then to never provide a straight answer- for this I didn’t complain just muddled through to get open in time. Then out of the blue, I was given a new rep who after I shared my concerns, apologized for the inconvenience but did no better besides offering up excuses why the answers are hard to come by. The leading answer was due to the people who build this app are located in Ireland and the time change provides difficulty for getting answers timely. That’s a Glo fox issue not the problem of the business people trusting the company we are paying to do the job. I was sold at the start about the pre-sales ability within the system. Odd that the salesmen could speak so highly about it but the on-boarders didn’t have a clue how to make that happen. I paid for several months before opening in hopes to have a solidified app to open my new business with and to conduct pre-sales to provide a huge opening month. This did not occur! I should have backed out prior to opening but I’m always leaning toward hopefulness. A few months go by clients do love the app and it does keep track of my unlimited clients packages which is very nice and yes even easy for yogis and spa clients. October arrived and I’m not sure if the app had an update or what occurred but all the sudden without any change to the schedule/availability on my end and (in fact the back end shows my correct hours), clients can all the sudden book appointments well into the night all the way to 2 am. I have had to call several clients to reschedule which doesn’t look good on a new business. I reported it right away in October. Multiple reports through multiple reps even the sales rep who sold me the package. No one has been able to fix this creating more desk work for me which is why I went with Glo fox in the first place to reduce my desk time. Finally in December I was connected with a rep I can reach out to for follow up regarding my concerns with the scheduling/availability times. Even after she heard my concerns no one has been able to fix the issue. She was able to provide me with a very tiny discount for the month of January and February. I followed up today and she does respond within the same day thankfully, but the answer is completely unacceptable. Her response:
“The fix is still in the works by our engineering team. I currently do not have an exact ETA, but it is prioritized for this quarter.“
The quarter ends in March, that is 6 months of non answers and no fixes and last week a new issue has arrived. I can no longer adjust the price at check out. I haven’t heard any response on this new thing that is happening.
I’m posting to help people make better choices- read reviews don’t make the mistake I did by attempting to stay hopeful.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Since they have merged there are so many glitches in the system and no one will help you fix it. This has had a major impact on my business. I have no choice but to change company’s as you don’t get what you paid for.
Do not use GloFox, they used to be good but since merging with ABC they have gone down hill rapidly.
We negotiated a stripe fee then found out they had not made the change costing us in excess of £1000+
No doubt many other studios are probably owed £1000's as well.
They were giving credits to clients and not charging them when their memberships cancelled, again costing us £1000's. They were actually aware of this issue for months and did not notify any of their clients hoping they would not find out.
There are loads of historic unresolved issues with the system they refuse to fix, their customer service is a disgrace and unhelpful, once they have you as a client you will not be able to connect with anyone of importance. This review is coming from someone who has used them for several years also owning multiple studios so they were making a lot of money from me but enough is enough. I have never worked with a company that cares so very little about their customers they just want to get you signed up and hope that you think it is too hard to leave and the money keeps rolling in.
GloFox is absolutely awful, do not use. If you do, you've been warned!!!
Ask any serious company that is using GloFox and they will complain.
Very unprofessional. The app they provided for our studio is not working correctly and one of the main functions doesn’t work. We are waiting for more than two weeks to hear from Glofox. But they don’t react at all. Also, when we finally get the call back from the person responsible for us the answer is “don’t worry, my dear, we are working on it. “ this is very unprofessional behavior and strange language for business talk. Before we signed the contract, they promised us how great the software is working, now with all this issues, the sales person is not even answering the emails. they are much better software on the market for the same price
Used to be a great company, we came over from mondbody to them. Since being sold it's terrible. The app crashes, I can't log into my dashboard about 20% of the time, they have outsourced all their call centres. Constantly being kicked our of the app and so are our customers. They have also hiked their prices up so we decided to leave. A sales rep agreed to lower the prices and said everything should be running smoothly now so we decided to give them another chance (changing software is alot of work). Then our next bill came and the prices were still at the higher amount so I called the call centre and they denied having ever even talked to me about it.
Our Expert Megan made the experience simple and easy to navigate.
The experience for our studio has been very positive so far . All the great support received by our account manager Rodrigo during the set up made a such huge difference and we are grateful for that. The system is user friendly and has lots of great features as for example we can create discounts codes and share promo code with our members. Thanks Glofox and Rodrigo for all the support
This company over sold me and over promised and undelivered. The platform was clunky to use and had several issues when saving and changing content, it was not user friendly and took hours of work. On realising that I didn’t need the software for my small gym, the company continued to over charge me, despite speaking to a staff member who said they would cancel and terminate my subscription. They stole a lot of money off me, which being a small start up, left me feeling this company is untrustworthy and there are far cheaper options on the market that do exactly the same.
Brilliant system! So easy to get onboard and set up and perfect for my gym and studio. Our members have found the process so simple to use for buying memberships, booking classes, signing into the facility and buying products. I have seen some really negative reviews on Google, but from my the team have been great, so helpful and the GloFox system is bloody brilliant
Too many "glitches", too many steps to do what should be an easy process, too many times to refresh/log in/log out/delete app/reinstall app for my members. This has been nothing but a time suck for me and my business.
Been with Glofox since they were in beta (2017) Tried to cancel service November 1st. I was told there was a 30 day cancellation policy and I would be charged again. I asked to speak to someone as I was canceling on the 1st and didn’t want to get charged again. ($166) A customer service manager contacted by phone but I wasn’t available. She contacted me by email and I told her I wanted to cancel my subscription. Instead of canceling they charged me twice as much ($322) Customer service has been terrible since the ABC/Glofox merger. Do yourself a favor and go with Mindbody.
Do not use this company, they have a huge sales team but once signed up they do not let you leave. I have been charged 3 months at 300% the price I agreed to and have requested multiple times to cancel with their so called customer support saying they cannot help but they will pass massage to management who you never hear from. This has been going on from months and they are charging me without letting me cancel. Avoid at all costs if you don’t want to be permanently trapped and charged insane prices.
Larry Johnson goes above and beyond to help with anything Glofox- thank goodness for him!! Haven’t had a lot of issues but he will work tirelessly to help me any time figure it out! Love it! Made the transition much easier knowing he was there!
2 red flags here:
-You register to get access to the price, but you don’t. First lie.
-Instead of showing the price, they ask you to select a time for them to call you. I didn’t do that, but since then, they’ve been harassing me 2 or 3 times a day, trying to get me to answer the phone. Second lie.
I don’t know if the software is good, but the company’s values don’t align with mine.
