Whilst Icedrive's dashboard and cloud storage is brilliant, their pricing and business practices are not

I was told when they changed their prices that they would honour the 1TB plan for £3.99 a month I had originally, to thank me for being a long-time customer

Just recently, they've decided to use the excuse of "changing payment providers" due to "difficulties in the UK" to cancel my subscription and force me into buying a new one, with the lowest option now being 2TB for £9.99 a month

Now due to my negative review, of which they left a petty reply not addressing my concerns at all, they have seemingly decided to suspend my account illegally, with an ongoing subscription which is still active for another week! So if thats not trustworthy, I don’t know what is

And after seeing that update, they have decided to try and personally attack me by saying I’m “changing my reviews like I change the channels on my council house TV” (not sure why that’d be an insult if true?) and reported my review for harassment, of which was denied by trustpilot

When do the shady business practices and un-professionalism stop? Why are they trying to censor my valid criticism if they’ve done nothing wrong

Lots of storage for a good price.

I like it. It's secure . It's easy to use. It's fast to upload. Good product.

I have multiple accounts and am extremely happy with the user interface and how it in general works. I have used the Icedrive apps for my Mac, for android and Iphone mobiles and these work well. It is my primary online digital storage service that I use. I am very happy that I found Icedrive and use it a lot.

Ice drive is a great price with plenty of storage and no file size limits. Even with these positives, the big negative is the upload speeds are very slow and can sometimes not complete.

I use Icedrive mainly to store photographs. The software is easy to use and the photos can be accessed quite quickly from different devices. However, there is a major issue with upload and caching. Upload (despite optical fibers) is slow. If I want the upload to work at a better rate than a retired turtle, I have to enable the software to use my disk space for caching. Since Icedrive doesn't let me set limits on cache size, I find myself with very little space. And then once upload is complete, there is no option in the software to clear out all the temp files. I had to manually delete them from the directory to get my space back. Many people have commented on this and it isn't being fixed.

So simple, so easy and so secure! Simply the BEST cloud drive 💯

Noticed slowed down downloads in the last few months. Desktop or browser app cannot download data anymore. I suspect there's data corruption. Support has insisted three times I try the same thing I told them I've been trying for days in order to download my data—it doesn't work. Support is now avoiding answering me. I've paid hundreds of dollars to Icedrive for years in order to archive my work worth thousands of dollars so that one day I could retrieve it. I can't retrieve it. They offer me no other solution. I would never, ever, ever recommend Icedrive to anyone and fully intend to review bomb them until they agree to get me my data one way or another.

EDIT: I wanted to add that clients I worked with also routinely complained about failed downloads from Icedrive's servers, so it wasn't just me.

Well, it took about 7 weeks all in all to recover my files from Icedrive's servers (5 weeks with an open ticket with support.) Some of the folders I was rescuing took 15-20 failed attempts, in which the client would download as many as 60GB of data and then crash/fail with no explanation. Attempts to re-download those folders would start from 0, so you can imagine how much time and bandwidth this wasted. There were two small folders that were just absolutely irretrievable no matter what I did. At this point I'm accepting the loss, I can't deal with this any longer.

Icedrive's style of support is to tell you to do the same thing you're telling them doesn't work over and over again, and then ghosting you. There doesn't appear to be any constructive inquiry into what could be going wrong, or their debug logs offer no insight, nor do they seem particularly inclined to explore what it could be about a particular setup that causes their software to misbehave. They kinda got back to me after I first posted this review, but even that lasted all of about an hour. My last response from support was two weeks ago.

I'm glad I managed to get my shit off their servers. I recommend you stay far, far away from this business. They don't care about you.

It works very well.
Excellent value in lifetime option.
Issues are minor compared to others.
Sometimes, after updates (windows), you have to restart the mount and sync process.
But that is very rare.
Highly Recommended.

First-rate Zero Knowledge Encryption cloud storage, I rank it at the top of the heap with Pcloud and Sync.com for security/privacy and UL/DL speeds (I'm in europe so can't comment on American users experience but it maxes out my connection).

I'm extremely satisfied with Icedrive! The user interface is clean, modern, and very easy to navigate. The speeds are excellent, and it has become my go-to cloud storage for everything. Highly recommended!

I found that Icedrive worked quite well at first. But about six months ago I started to get messages that a file I might be accessing was corrupted and couldn't be opened in Office programs. This happened frequently enough that I started backing up on a USB stick as well.

Anyway I looked at what I was doing today. Backing up on USB and Mega with a further backup on another drive. I just couldn't trust icedrive. So I checked I had everything downloaded and deleted all Icedrive files and uninstalled it.

WebDAV support makes it simple to connect from different tools and platforms. Being able to map it the same way across systems saves a lot of time, and the performance has been steady enough for handling regular document editing and backups.

A question about storage expansion was answered within minutes, and the representative explained everything clearly without sending generic responses. The quick resolution made the whole experience stress-free.

The desktop app runs smoothly on a slightly older laptop, which was unexpected. Browsing folders doesn’t lag, and uploads don’t slow down the rest of the system. A big plus for anyone not using the latest hardware.

Speed stood out right away. Opening large videos, backing up archives, and syncing between laptop and phone all work without delays. The encryption system also brings a lot of confidence when storing sensitive work files. A great balance of performance and privacy.

Family photos, work documents, and travel videos -all stored in one place without worrying about running out of space on the laptop. Sharing folders with friends and colleagues is easy, and the simple interface makes it enjoyable to use daily.

Running large project folders has always been a headache, but mounting Icedrive like a normal drive changed everything. Files open quickly, uploads don’t slow the system, and switching between two computers feels seamless. The setup took only a few minutes and the interface feels clean with zero clutter. Easily one of the most convenient tools added to the workflow this year.

Love the app, love the customer service. Defiantly better than the competition. I would recommend.
