James was amazing. He managed to file down a key I got elsewhere that didn't work as it was a slightly different shape. He made it work which was just in time with a tenant moving in tomorrow! Thank you, James. You saved my bacon!
Don’t go to James shoe care . I recently had went to get my red bottoms sole replaced with a jell cover , the heels where brand new and I thought “ James shoe care “ was the best however the results are the worst I’ve ever seen , the shoes went from expensive to looking fake and cheap thanks to James shoe care . Staff are not understanding at all and rude . Don’t go to this store .
Thanks to Elliott for re-attaching a photo clip of great sentimental value to a key rig that had become separated. Great job, done with speed and care. Much appreciated!
I had been looking for someone to resole 9 pairs of dance shoes.Having had one pair done locally which was not quite up to scratch, I called James late one Friday evening not expecting anyone to be there. I was lucky that the owner David James called me back and we discussed my unusual requirements. I was so impressed by his "old school" manner that even though this was more than other quotes, I liked his vibe, he gave me a discount and the fact he was bending over backwards to accommodate me (even offering to collect an re-deliver) I didn't wait for further quotes from others.
When I dropped the eight pairs off, the particular sole I favour had to be ordered in for me, which Daniel did {I know what works for my 4 hours of dancing in 4"stiletto's}.
Fast forward to last Friday, when Daniel called to let me know they were done and ready to collect so today I've collected them and even had another set of every day stiletto's re-heeled whilst I waited which couldn't have take more than 3 minutes and was just £9.95, the same as other independent and chain cobblers.
Even though this is two bus rides for me to get to James Shoe Care, I will not only be returning for my many stiletto re-heelings, but I would highly recommend it to anyone. There are bus stops directly outside for those travelling from Chingford or Leyton.
I'm delighted with the work done and the entire encounter. Two other cobblers including a major chain lost out simply because they didn't seem to value my time and custom, the way David James did and that's why I'll always support businesses like this who are independent and go the extra mile.
I highly recommend to anyone.
Thank you Iuri for your repair ... no, your RESTORATION of my very well loved Vuitton suitcase. Your attention to detail and your sympathetic restoration is impeccable! All of you at James have always helped me immeasurably from just keys to complicated repairs. Thank you again!
Highly Recommend IURII at James Shoecare, Jubilee Link, Canary Wharf.
If you want the best care of your shoes both designer and other, I recommend IURII based at James Shoecare in Canary Wharf. He is very thorough, fair, honest and helpful both in his service, aftercare and advice. I took various shoes to him that were sitting in a cupboard for years. Some just needed a polish, others new soles and more intensive care and attention. Nothing was too much trouble for Iurii. There was a mixture of designer shoes/boots and less expensive shoes and he excelled at cleaning, repairing and rejuvenating all. It is obvious he is a skilled and highly trained Shoemaker and it shows in his work and his genuine attitude and care of your shoes and leather goods. His eye for detail is impressive and he knows what each shoe needs to bring it to the best standard. He also gave advice on the most suitable polish and cleaning products for future reference. Brilliant fellow. Should be commended by his Managers.
DO NOT GET YOUR WATCH REPAIRED HERE
Tried to get a battery changed on a watch, and was told the watch needed a service for £200. Since it was still in warranty we declined and took the watch to an authorised repairer. The watch at that point had no battery in, and the coil was found to be broken, which can only happen by someone forcing the battery incorrectly. This cost us an extra £80 due to their incompetence and negligence. It was their mistake, but they tried to cover it up by requiring a £200 "service". They are incompetent and dishonest - had they owned up to the error we would have thought better of them.
