I have been using JReviews for Joomla since 2012 on several sites, it's an outstanding product with excellent support, documentation and regular updates. If you ever run into an issue or are unsure of anything post on the support forums or raise a ticket and you will receive a quick response.
It was quite complicated when I first started with a complex site using custom themes, but JReviews has now evolved into a much easier component to work with from an admin perspective. With the recently introduced layout manager and new layouts it's very quick to build new sites that are very presentable and mobile friendly and using the import add on it's possible to import content from pretty much anywhere.
I have been using JReviews for many years (for the most part since its inclusion in the Joomla CMS environment).
This product is simply excellent. And the support is outstanding.
Each revision is tested and retested prior to release and in the years that I have been using it I do not believe I have ever had a problem with an update.
And the application and its option. A huge array of add-ons and widgets that not only enhance the application (and thus the user experience), but add-ons that make my life as and administrator simpler.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone that had the need to create diverse and expansive review sites.

I have been using Jreviews for over 10+ years and am amazed at how in-depth the component is, and how awesome Alejandro's support is. I have never asked a support question an not had a prompt response-unlike some other component providers. Component documentation is extremely thorough, and one of the most reliable places to get answers after hours. Of all the website software I use, there are only 3-4 providers that I hold in the highest regard and trust 110% when it comes to software, support, documentation, and general helpfulness- Jreviews and Alejandro are in that small group.

I have been a JReviews customer for around 8 years now, and that alone says a lot about how i feel about this product. An enormous amount of dedication and hard work over the years, has made JReviews what it is today. A simply unrivaled platform, so powerful that simply blows everything else out of the water. It is feature packed, well documented, and build in a way that makes it easy for us users to customize it, even play with the code, and make something unique out of it.
To say that I’m surprised by Alejandro’s support is an understatement. He manages to release updates frequently, fix bugs even on the same day, and yet still actively engage and support the community forum on a daily basis. I have worked with countless extensions over the years, and this is by far the best all-around product out there. Well worth every penny. Respect to Alejandro and his team, for a truly amazing product.

I have started using JReviews in 2011 and my sites have grown as JReviews has. The developer is highly dedicated in providing a solid product with endless features that literally give you the possibility of implementing what ever you desire. Many new features are added regularly, and support is outstanding. Support tickets are responded quickly and efficiently (you can also use the Forum that works as well). JReviews has a very good documentation and gets updated as soon new features are added. Highly recommendable!

If you are looking for a Review plugin to add to your WordPress or Joomla website, this is the best choice. I have used their code on more than 10 site and it always gave me the features and functionality I was looking for.

JReviews is a very powerful and versatile directory extension. It can be configured for a very wide range of use cases. With this power comes a significant learning curve, but it well documented, and technical support is prompt and professional.

Just to set the stage, I'm not a web developer. I've worked with "front end" applications but have never built one (since college). I wanted to build a review website as a hobby but didn't know where to start. I figured out that WordPress should make my life easier but as I got into it I was pretty overwhelmed with options but underwhelmed with my ability to build the website I was hoping for.
After a lot of digging and looking for a solution to create a review website, it seemed like they were all focused on MY reviews instead of USER reviews like I wanted. I broke down and started emailing web developers to see what the cost would be to have my website built for me from scratch.
While I was waiting for quotes, I started googling again. I found JReviews in the comments of a blog post and I checked it out. The demo website and access to the WordPress admin console helped me see how it all worked...and it did EXACTLY what I was looking for!!
I played around in the demo site for a few hours and felt ready to take the plunge. I sent a few questions to "info at jreviews.com" to see if they had advice for someone starting out. They replied very quickly with advice and links to great tutorials/documentation.
The next day I got JReviews purchased and installed. I began digging around in the configs and getting my website started. By that evening I KNEW I could build my website using WordPress and JReviews! I had started adding content but I had a few questions.
I sent my questions to JReviews again (training issues not support mind you) and within a couple of hours I was pointed in the right direction and ready to go.
I've been getting stuck about once a day and JReviews has helped without complaint EVER TIME! This last time they asked me to make them a user account to troubleshoot and they fixed my issue and sent me a recap of what they did so I'd know for next time.
As you can tell...I'm very excited about what JReviews has released. The cost is incredibly reasonable and they do everything they can to help short of just building the site for you.
Recommendation:
Play around with the demo site a lot and it will help you understand what's available.
Expectations:
1) If you are a hardcore custom developer...this might not be for you. WordPress and Joomla are amazing platforms but they are platforms. If you want something totally custom...build it.
2) If you are not at all technical, this might be too much. WordPress and Joomla have A TON of options. You need to watch videos and read a lot of documentation just to understand those platforms. JReviews adds a ton of functionality which also adds some complexity. You do need some technical smarts to build a website...even if you're using a "platform."
Summary: JReviews has allowed me to do something I didn't think I'd be capable of doing. The service has been amazing. The cost is totally reasonable. I am SHOCKED at how much I can do with this. JReviews has thought of SO much.
If you want to build a review site, and you have some tech smarts and patients...I think you'll LOVE JReviews!
