Best owners ever!

We unfortunately scheduled our trip to Asheville not knowing hurricane Helena would make herself known in devastating fashion! No power, internet, water and fuel and Ben and Lisa were fantastic in making sure we had the essentials needed to make us as comfortable as possible. They also shared any information they received from other locals. Hopefully we can get down there again and enjoy the area as we planned.

We had a nice stay at the Brookside Cabin...comfortable and close to the family wedding we had in Weaverville. We arrived very late at night and were unable to find the cabin but the owners answered our call immediately and helped us get situation.

Our stay for my birthday weekend was…

Our stay for my birthday weekend was perfect!! We were close to everything, but the area is peaceful and private. It’s just what I needed to usher in my next circle around the sun. The beds are super comfy, and we loved the hot tub and porch swing. The cherry on top for me was how clean everything was!! Thank you! We highly recommend!

Beautiful and clean cabin

We enjoyed our week long stay at the elk path cabin. Everything was clean and in working order. We didn't have any issues during our stay. The dog supplies were such an amazing bonus. We will definitely stay at the cabin during our next visit.

Great Vacation Spot

Family and I stayed in the Chanterelle cabin July 25-28th and thoroughly enjoyed it! Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the stay and even some pet items which was nice. Great location too for visiting Asheville and Blue Ridge parkway. Wonderful stay

Amazing place to stay!! Nowhere better when in Asheville area

We stayed at Laurel Mountain Retreat (Brookside cabin) from July 12th - Jul 15th 2024 and it was awesome as usual. This was our first trip since my husband had a major stroke in January 2023 and we loved it. We have stayed at Laurel Mountain Retreat many times but this was our first stay at Brookside cabin which is handicap accessible and it was totally amazing. The cabins are always perfectly cleaned and very nice. There is nowhere better to stay when in the area of Asheville. This is our go to place and joke that it is our second home.

Very good visit

Very good visit. Cabin was clean with everything we needed, grounds clean, quiet setting and very convenient location to Asheville and our favorite restaurants in the area. Didn't have any special requests from the hosts, but the communication was timely and pleasant. Planning on a return.

Perfect Asheville Getaway

Property exceeded our expectations and was one of the best finds we've found. The home was charming, had all the essentials needed, and made us not even want to leave. This home was very dog friendly and our pups felt right home and enjoyed laying out on the wrap around porch. The location of the property was less than 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and provided us the needed privacy we were searching for on this trip. We look forward to coming back and will rent one of the cabins on this property. The owners were very responsive and helpful during our stay!

Weaverville getaway

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and private. The landscape around the cabins are well maintained. The Red Bird cabin was clean and smelled wonderful. The hot tub was in the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful forest around you. We also enjoyed eating and drinking (Twisted Laurel, Elluvium, Blue Moutain Pizza) in Weaverville as well
as Lake Louise to walk our doggies and check out a waterfall.

The best place to stay when visiting Asheville

We were so happy to be back in NC and staying at Laurel Mountain Retreat. We have stayed there each time we came to the Asheville area and really love it. The cabins are AMAZING, they are extremely clean and very beautiful on the inside. This trip we stayed at the Brookside Cabin because it is handicap accessible and my husband is recovering from a major stroke. There is no better place to stay and we highly recommend Laurel Mountain Retreat. The owners Ben and Lisa are great. We can't wait to come back. Dawn and Alan

Relaxing getaway

The location is fantastic. Quiet, private, yet close to downtown and outdoor activities. The hot tub was great for winding down after a long day of exploring, and the beds were comfortable. Had all the conveniences of home. Absolutely loved drinking my coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the front porch swing🥂. Hoping to return soon

Elk Path Cabin

My wife and I enjoyed a 3 night stay over the 4th of July weekend at the Elk Path Canin. It’s very close to downtown Weaverville. The cabin is nice and clean and well appointed with plenty of towels, washcloths, and kitchen items. Having a washing machine and dryer is great too. We loved the porch swing and eating breakfast on the deck. Oh, and the hot tub is huge and the water was perfect. Overall, this is a great cabin stay in close proximity to Asheville.

Cozy Mountain Cabin

The cabin was in a quiet, secluded location away from the city! It was such a beautiful little cabin with all the amenities you could need for a weekend. I would definitely rent here again!

Convenient, cozy, comfortable

We had a lovely stay at the Laurel Mountain retreat, Brooksite Cabin) for three days. The cabin was as described and pictured. It is the most private of the cabins available, but it was perfect for just my husband and I. Very convenient to Asheville comfortable and well appointed highly recommend this as an alternative to staying in downtown Asheville or at a hotel. Another plus was that it was very dog friendly With a special gated spot for your pup, water bowl, food dish, and towels nice road for walking her as well.

Cute cabin

Nice, small, super clean cabin perfect for a couple humans and dogs. Well stocked kitchen supplies. Quiet neighborhood with some road noise from nearby. Lots of wildlife including deer, wild turkey and tons of other birds. Great porch with glider. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Inside temperature is self controlled unlike other places I stayed so that’s a bonus.

We stayed at Brookside Cabin from April 1-5

We stayed at Brookside Cabin from April1-5.
We brought along our two dogs. The cabin was clean with comfortable furnishings.
We especially loved the built in dog kennel underneath the stairs to the loft. It was exceptionally roomy for both of our dogs to stay in while we were out sightseeing; and we didn’t have to remove our kennels from the back of our vehicle.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great location but needs some updates.

We loved the location and property. The interior needs some updates. New stove, microwave, tea kettle, forks, bigger bed and new mattresses would greatly improve the guest experience. Also, some additional chairs, or second table and chairs. With three of us, someone was always eating in a lap. We were surprised to find no additional pillow cases for the loft bed. Also, only three sets of towels, no extras. The loft mattress also needs to be replaced. Being able to bring the dog along was a great perk, but I don't know that we would stay again.

The description and pictures accurately show the layout, features and amenities of the cabin which is designed for two adults and children in the loft area. We strive to ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay by regularly checking to ensure everything is in working order, performing routine maintenance and replacing or upgrading items when needed. We didn't hear from you during your stay that there were any problems or that something was not working. We would have been happy to provide you with more towels and pillows had you contacted us. We do provide laundry pods and a full size washer and dryer. Again if you weren't able to find something or needed some extras, we were just a phone call away.

The perfect spot for our wedding weekend!

This was the perfect spot for our wedding weekend! The folks at Laurel Mountain Retreat were wonderful -- they were kind, helpful, and communicative at all stages in the process and provided the perfect spot for us to retreat to in the evenings when our festivities had died down. We highly recommend Laurel Mountain Retreat and look forward to staying here again!

What a gem of a place!

My husband and I had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at Laurel Mountain Retreat. Our cabin was delightfully cozy and charming. Laurel Mountain Retreat is in the perfect location near two very charming towns: Weaverville and Asheville where we indulged in yummy restaurants and walked around. Also, we were just under an hour away from Pisgah National Forest! We can’t wait to come back and stay longer!
