They have very good servers and good tech support. But their prices are way too high compared to other options. I stay only because migrating my sites out, would be too painful.

Been a customer for more than a decade, had and have several products with them. They launched a new range and I wanted to upgrade one of the services, they said it can't be done automatically, purchase new one and cancel previous one. Followed their recommendation but they wouldn't cancel previous server. They claim I need to spend 3x times my budget(!) to justify the "upgrade" or I would still be in the contract, which I finally gave up to their blackmail and accepted - where I actually followed their own advice. Their automated upgrade page errors out with flat 500 page, which is really shameful for a commercial company this size. Anyway support says wait action from us, we are working on it, a week later - today, they shut down ALL my production servers and disable my Customer Portal ACCESS! Unrelated and paid for production servers has been suspended, I have clients calling me and chasing me, which their customer service (non existant now) is ignoring. There is no complaint option in any channels, if and when I recover my production servers, I will make plans to move away to a different provider. Last nail in the coffin.

hunt showdown players are being screwed over due to this company being greedy the servers are poorly maintained which results in major connectively and ping issue get your head out your asses everything isn't about money don't forget why you started this business

Leaseweb fixed the issue
I contacted them regarding spamming activity from their client who had an account with them. They said spammer decided to stop the spamming activity. LOL. It is a very serious issue, but they made it into trivial issue. But there is the thing, it can affect their good clients.

GREEDY
I was 14 months into a 24 month contract paid in advance when they said the server need upgraded and replaced. That would in effect triple my monthly service rate. I attempted to negotiate but that was many emails (like 30) of wasted effort. They would not honor the existing deal I was operating on and expected me to pay the difference for the remainder of my prepaid contract. I declined and moved my forum to a different ISP. Not only did they refuse any refund of the remainder on my contract now (4 months later) they are sending me bills for a cpanel upcharge. Run far away from Leaseweb

I've been using Leaseweb for nearly 2 decades (from when they were Servint) and I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Once acquired by Leaseweb, they kept raising the price while I was still on an old machine. The support team was slower. Tech team was good, but the sales frustrated me so much, I decided to move out. For paying $400+/month, I made the move and now I'm paying only $100/month for a way better spec. Server is now super fast and support is always on standby!
Let me give some simple examples.
1. I wanted to move to a newer spec machine within Leaseweb, but the sales rep after a few days just told me what the spec of my current machine is. Thanks, but did you even read my ticket? My new webhost sales team actually sat and looked through my traffic to recommend a plan.
2. The price. Like I said, I'm now getting a better machine/plan for 1/4th the price.
3. My domain was placed on some blacklist for spam and instead of helping me out to figure out what's causing it, Leaseweb straight up threatened me that they will shut down my server within 24 hours and sue me for any damages. For paying for managed hosting, I would've liked a little more help. For anyone wondering, my server was sending out emails without checking for bounces and that eventually built up and looked like I was sending out spam.

After ordering a server off this company, we were required to immediately pay. After 2 days we received a request for company documentation to verify our company information, which we refused as this information is publicly available. They notified they could not provide a server without it, so we told them to cancel the order. We have still received no refund of the Euro 800 paid. This company does not deserve your business. We have ordered another server off Hetzner where we have 6 already.

I have been with leaseweb for 15 years or more. The service has become TERRIBLE! They kept insisting I need to switch to a new server. I finally agreed after they told me if it doesn't work they can switch back. Wel!! Guess what? It is not working. And they are not doing ANYTHING about it. And it's killing mu business. If something is not done soon. I will be out of business. And they don't seem to care.

Given the unethical misconduct of that company I decided to create an account here as a warning.
I've been a customer at Leaseweb for more than a decade, spending tens of thousands of USD in total, so I've had my share of experiences. Overall, the network quality at Leaseweb was moderate. I initially chose them because they were cheap, and I had server loads that could tolerate some outages. However, the real issues began when I decided to switch to a better company.
The Leaseweb billing system is not a very robust "customer experience": There were remnants of old services associated with each of my canceled servers (IPs) that simply couldn't be canceled.
I did not have any special contracts on IPs, they were even my self owned IPs, Leaseweb just charged me for having them listed. On top, I had them delisted a month earlier so I can transition. It was just a "thing" appended to each server for a small extra fee per server.
So obviously given the IPs were long gone, and the servers all canceled in time I didn't expect this to be a problem to any rational human taking a look.
Well boy, was I wrong about rational staff at that company.
Their simply incompetent staff contacted me months later about "due" fees. I explained the situation. They contacted me again weeks later, and I reiterated my explanation. They reached out again, and I referred them to my previous emails. This went on like from an AI spambot, always different people and always acting as if my earlier responses were "lost".
The total sum was not much more than $100, and while paying their spam-ransom would have made them stop .. after more than a decade of being a loyal customer and knowing I was in the right, I was not inclined to yield to their "lead handshake" style of farewell.
So they involved a lawyer, and the amount increased to ~$200. I explained to the lawyer for the sixth or seventh time that an error in their billing system had caused remnants of a canceled server to persist, and I requested not to be contacted further.
A month later, another attorney's office sent me physical letters, increasing the amount by another $50 and threatening to notify banks in America, impacting my credit scores.
Leaseweb's actions were not just a simple oversight but a display of disregard for a long-term customer.
Their support staff is either fully incompetent in their ability to read and think or trained to act as if they were.
Just stay away, they provide bad service, at very low rates and will use every trick in the box to press money out of you.

I had used the US Leaseweb for years and they were wonderful in the USA and needed a server in the Netherlands. I used their Dutch Leaseweb and that was a disaster. This was in 2010-2011. They setup up twice as many servers than I ordered and I could prove it was their mistake from the emails. They would not fix the problem, I had to make a commitment on the correct servers or I would be forced to pay for the servers I never ordered.
I cancelled everything in the Netherlands order and I never ever used Netherlands again. It hurt the respect I used to have for Leaseweb. They still keep emailing my old email address trying to get me back for years after that. Over time I moved away from Leaseweb as other places got cheaper and better, but now it seems Leaseweb is the cheapest again.
I've been looking at Leaseweb UK for servers, but I am so nervous from that bad experience and what I read here that I am very unsure.

On the Hong Kong website you can configure the setup you require. The setup says it will take an hour, but a day was fine for me. I paid 940 HKD upfront. I waited a few days and heard nothing about the server. I sent an email enquiring and they sent an email back cancelling my order.
I'm still waiting for the money to be refunded to my card. Judge for yourself if you believe this is scamming.

We have used this service for many years and never had any (serious) issue. Network outages are rare and are almost always informed up front and/or solved quickly.

As someone who values efficiency and expertise, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and professionalism displayed throughout the process.
I greatly appreciated the transparency and communication from customer service & support throughout.

Contrat renews without warning....... They refused to cancel it. The server literally cost 3x what we should be paying without contract even.

Support responses are slow and their billing process is a complete mess.
The worst part is, when it comes to tickets related to technical issues, their support team doesn't even bother to read the problem description properly. Instead, they immediately shift the blame onto you. I even provided them with instructions on how to check for the problem, but they simply replied with a generic response, insisting that it was my fault. It took three more exchanges for them to finally acknowledge the issue, and it took over a week to resolve a simple problem.
Giving it a 2 star because they've been flexible with their contract changes, support is friendly (when you meet the right people) prices are decent but price increases every year are a very lame way to profit on customers who are now dependant from you and for those reasons i'm moving all my 3 servers to different companies

Have been using Leaseweb for all our server requirements for few years now. Their service is very good - precise and extremely professionally handled. They have always been able to resolve issues in a timely fashion with professional A+ support.

It's impossible to cancel the automatic renewal of a service, even if you've explicitly requested it via support, before the renewal date.
After the reminder emails, comes intimidation with a collection company to force you to pay for a service you decided to stop beforehand.
LeaseWeb's unethical business practices warrant serious concern and caution for potential clients, the lack of transparency, coupled with unresponsive and unhelpful customer service, reflects a disturbing prioritization of profit over customer satisfaction.
This review serves as a stark warning to others, urging them to reconsider engaging with LeaseWeb and explore alternative, more ethical hosting providers in the market.
