They have very good servers and good tech support. But their prices are way too high compared to other options. I stay only because migrating my sites out, would be too painful.

JUST STARTING A BUSINESS, DON'T USE LEASEWEB

If you are someone trying to launch an online business and are looking for a dedicated server do not use LEASWEB.com

They profess to have servers amenable for small businesses, but they don't. They charge a hell of a lot, they charge for everything you need and their customer service is slow.

I bought a dedicated server, then added three additional IPs. I could not get the server configured properly so decided to move to a managed dedicated server. All of this was in July 2022, it is now September 6, 2022, and while the migration was completed, there is no managing of the server at all. Thus far I have paid over $1000.00 with LEASEWEB.COM and I can't get the service I thought I paid for.

The number one issue has been the email. I can't send or receive emails from my site. All email bounces. When I reach out to LEASEWEB.COM their response is that I need to create MX records at my domain registrar. Cool, I could do that but I have no idea what an SPF, DKIM, or DMARC record is. I'm pretty sure those are not the same for every server. So I ask them to forward me those records or tell me how to obtain them so that I could configure them in my domain registrar but I get no answer. The internet is supposed to function instantly so when they take their time in getting back it is frustrating. But rest assured they want instant payment.

I should have used one of any other hosting providers available, but for some reason, I selected LEASEWEB.COM what a nightmare it has been.

To save you a headache and a lot of cash DO NOT USE LEASEWEB.COM if you are a small company taking to launch an online business. LEASEWEB.COM appears to be more appropriate for large, deep pocket type businesses. It almost seems as if having to provide help to me is a burden. For my money, I'd like a service that actually helps. It doesn't even have to be instant, although that would be great, it just has to actually help.

Leaseweb has been the worst experience…

Leaseweb has been the worst experience when it comes to servers & hosting. In my 12 years with Leaseweb I have probably opened over 500+ troubleshooting tickets!!! The server times out while in their WHM/CPanel making updates or revisions so I constantly had to keep logging back in, 12 years of this and I had enough!!! AVOID LEASEWEB

I have servers on colocation service with leaseweb Singapore. Support is poor and they can change the interpretation of the terms in the contract as they pleased. 36 months contract with 12 months free is equal to 12 free months plus 36 months total 48 months. In order to access the colo servers I need to put in a ticket to support which operates only during office hours and not on weekend. Which means if I need urgent access during weekends, it is impossible!

Dear Mario, thank you for your feedback. Leaseweb does not charge for the cancelation of services. As per the mentioned Terms and Conditions, paragraph 12.3, the fee refers to a suspension due to non-payment and it's related to the (administrative) activities performed to suspend and – if applicable – to recommence the provision of the Services and/or Customer's (right to) access to the equipment.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at support@leasweb.com.

Do Not Use Leaseweb

This was one of the worst VPS experiences I’ve ever had.

I signed up paying month to month. The hardware responded slow and was not good service. I cancelled using their portal and the account was up to date and paid. About a month later I started receiving bills and threatening e-mails from their Accounts Receivable group. After asking a lot of questions and not letting them off the hook referring me to a user agreement that made no sense, they claimed I owed for an additional month plus cancellation fees saying I signed up for a 14 month contract (who offers a 14 month contract?) along with threats for a collection company to follow up with me next. Their collection company did just that along with a fee for their service to send the threatening e-mails.

Who bills month to month on a $20/mo service and tries to lock you into a 14 month contract? This makes no sense. The rest of the world collects the entire price up front if there is a contract length unless it has a large ticket price which this did not.

This is a company with bad service, very questionable billing practices and are eager to engage a collection company to make up for it.

There are plenty of other companies out there that do far better.

Contract that I never signed

I purchased VPS services 3 years ago. The system has been working acceptably well and thus I purchase the renewals in subsequent years.
This year, I stopped the renewal but Leaseweb claims I still need to keep the services for an additional year.
They keep taking about a contract that I never signed (requiring 2 months notice). I just registered on their portal for the first order and made payments.
Customer services took at least 20 confusing mails, to finally present me with the so call contract that were the Terms and Conditions. Of course, I never know it exists and if they want to enforce it, they should clear present it and request explicit acceptance (which was not the case during the last 3 years). They are specially annoying keeping the same irritating sentence in every single email "Thank you for your patience."
Finally, after this bad customer service, I have doubts on the overall experience.

OK services, bad customer experience

My server was alright. It stayed online and ran at a good speed.

As a customer they treated me terribly. Multiple instances of null-routing my IP without sufficient time to respond to the complaints. When I did look into the complaints they were not legitimate.

Leaseweb sold me a server with an outdated OS. It was not compatible with cPanel after a few months. I could not get cPanel support so I had to rely on Leaseweb support.

Leaseweb support is bad. They are generally slow and can be dishonest. I asked for a month-to-month contract at a fixed rate. The rate has gone up several times. I tried to cancel and they want an extra month's payment for that, even though I cancelled within the window.

Poor experience overall.

Sales took their time an expertise to explain and propose the appropriate server for our needs. We are very satisfied with Leaseweb.

Their customer service is TERRIBLE!

Their customer service is TERRIBLE!! I've been working with Leaseweb for almost 7 years, and I have a personal account. Now, when I asked just to change the address in contact details (as I moved to another country), they said they work only B2B ! and said I have 48 hours before terminating my VPS !!! Can you imagine such an attitude in 2022 ? I can't.

Blocked my server without any notifies…

Blocked my server without any notifies and without even possibility to move on another provider or create backup. Reason: false positive abuse.
Said that "notified by email", but no any emails were send(spam folder is empty too). Any other emails from them(support tickets, bills, etc) is coming normally. Had my phone numbers, but even not call.
This company is not fair and will break your business.
Also sometimes send huge bills for traffic as said others.
Support team works very slowly.
Highly not recommend this company.

This company MUST close

This company should close. It is illegal and must be terminated through a representative lawyer and a prosecutor.

There are being charged amounts not stated in the original contract. Another fee, and another "extra" fee, and so on.

Those who see this review, please respond publicly here in order to complete the legal closure of this illegal company immediately.

There are a lot of evidences, proofs and facts, and we are hundrends. So not to worry about winning this in the courts.

Any lawyer who see this, here is your chance to make a big win and become famous in courts, shutting down these "kind" scammers.

Its not also random their general review here which is 2/5 stars out of 110 currently.

Dear hosting researcher, PLEASE save your money and go elsewhere. You are lucky you saw this before opening an account with them. Just check also other reviews here and you will see for yourself, what is all about.

If you ordHuge bills are issued for excess traffic

If you ordered a server with a limit of, say, 10 TB, but there was an attack on your server, then you will have to pay for traffic from the rates of 5 cents per gigabyte. The problem is not only that illegal traffic is not cut off, but that ordinary traffic packages are calculated at much lower tariffs. For example, in one of the months we were billed for 4429 euros for overspending traffic of 98 TB, although the same traffic costs a very reasonable 60 euros from the provider. The difference is more than 70 times. Moreover, the official offer agreement does not contain these frenzied prices of 5 cents per gigabyte, they are indicated on the website in the FAQ section, which is only a reference information. In other words, traps are set.

I have been in the IT business for over 20 years, its the fist time in my life I see hosting provider needs 2 months notice prior to end of contract if you wish to discontinue at the end of your lease. After that, they issue you will a 62 EURO Deactivation charge and also threaten to take you to court. I will see you in court then....

Irresponsibility

Power work was scheduled for Saturday. Due to these works, there was a power surge, which led to a restart and failure of some components on the servers. They said they could fix it only on Monday. Business cannot be done like that. I do not advise.

They are very torrible, they generate invoices twice for the invoice that i have paid and also you have to pay for the delivery time no matter if your server was ready or not if they deliver after 1 month you have to pay 1 month for nothing.

Supports its bad, their system its very complex so even their employer doesnt understand it

The support doesn't exist in Leaseweb

The support doesn't exist in Leaseweb. I have experience of 7 days waiting to find out was my server delivered into the DC or not. 48 hours+ waiting for the task which in normal DC takes just 15 minutes. Average request-response like 2-3 days. Support makes mistakes (always) and does not follow the provided instructions. Highly avoid these guys. Waste of your money and time. And I'm talking about not the usual server rent, I'm a full colo cabin customer.
