Overall I'm very happy with the App. I love to listen to audible books. I like that it tells you when you borrowed the book. I like that when you download the book it's all there. My gripe with Libby i... See more

Horrible app. Never works and you can only listen on your phone which is way too heavy, bulky, and totally inconvenient to carry all over. I now purchase most of my audio books so I can use them on m... See more
Libby is the only app available (for me) to access and read ebooks, so at least there's 'something' to use. But the the limitations so greatly outweigh the benefits... Slooow to load and access on... See more
It's not very good. So many options for improvement. I suggest you show the remaining borrow time specifically (I was just trying to finish the last 40mins of a book that was to be returned 'today'... See more
Hate it
Hate it! If you ever used Overdrive before, you know what I mean.
Libby is a horrible alternative that can't be used offline with nearly impossible highlight function which I need for translation, you just try and try and try to highlight a text and to no avail. Too many buttons to push for context translation and so much more. When they will listen to us?????,
Local libraries don't support it for…
Local libraries don't support it for magazines now, so awful.
Older books now & some audio books only.
Won't use it much now
Everything about it is awful.
I don't know if I have anything else to offer than all the other 1 star reviews. Everything about it is awful. Extremely difficult to log in each and every time you want to use it, and unlike every other site and app, it doesn't work with saved information. Someone is clearly taking advantage of libraries with this sh*tshow.
Libby revised and wiped out all my TAGS
Libby just revised their App and wiped out all my tags and thousands of titles. You cannot trust this company. I am supposed to get notifications if new titles appear on Libby. This service has never worked. I am supposed to get notifications when a title on Hold is available. This service does not work. I read 671 books last year and kept track of past reading on Libby. ALL GONE. I had Tags with books I wanted to read in history, literature, mystery and dozens of other themes. ALL GONE. My library forced Libby upon me. I hate the app. I will be complaining to all members of the library board.
I have no issues with Libby
I have no issues with Libby. Preferred overdrive but..... now going to be forced to use borrowbox soon. Gave it a try today. Awful! Can't transfer book to my kobo without plugging into a computer or suchlike. Useless to me.
The Libby app is useless
The Libby app is so glitchy, so unreliable, that it is impossible to use. After reinstalling the app on my Kindle Fire several times over a period of weeks and have it work for only a short period, I have given up. Readers and supporters of public libraries deserve better.
Maintenance issues prevent borrowing
The Libby app is so incredibly frustrating! I was notified that a book I was waiting for was now available. When I tried to borrow the book, I was asked to confirm my credentials by entering my library card info. I tried but received a message that the system was down for maintenance. By the time I was finally able to log in, the book was no longer available. Now I have to wait four weeks for the opportunity to borrow that book again.
I absolutely loathe Libby
I absolutely loathe Libby. It is difficult to use, tags don't sync across devices and wastes what time! What used to be a soothing escape to search for, and read about, books I want to read is now a chore.
Awful...would give it -10 starts if I could.
Bring back Overdrive
I love to walk listening to an audiobook on my sandisk mp3 player. It makes the time go by much faster. Now I can't download to my mp3 player. Trying to download a book to my amazon fire tablet was so frustrating I just gave up. I think I will try hoopla. It can't be any worse. Please bring back Overdrive.
The app on the iphone is ok
The app on the iphone is ok. Loses it's little mind every once in a while and I have to clear it from my phone memory and start it up again. My complaint is with the Windows version. It's basically useless. You have to give it a library account to log on EVERY TIME you try to run it. I unistalled it from my laptop.. Again, it's useless if I have to re-authenticate and load a library account every time.
Terrible app - poor QA
Terrible app, always crashing, can't find books after selecting a book, poor QA on new releases. When you file a tech support complaint, they just say it's your fault and tell you to delete the app and re-install it, which is a sign of poor coding and QA. The user experience is dreadful!!
Terrible waste of public money.
Such a dreadful app I've stopped using it. The problem being that that the county library service uses it as it's vehicle for downloads. Not so much a public service as a publicly funded pain in the proverbial.
Free library books
Free library books. I don't understand how there are so many bad reviews. This is a free app that allows you free access to books.
If you want a super clean experience just pay for the books.
I absolutely HATE libby
I absolutely HATE this libby. It’s not user friendly what so ever. It’s hit or miss weather I get to read a book from another library my main library has partnered with.
I read a lot of books
I read a lot of books, both on my Kindle Paperwhite and regular books. I get about half of my reading material at my local library. A few months ago, I tried borrowing things on my Kindle. For the past few days I've been trying to connect to Libby via my Paperwhite, which I've been able to do before, but today it keeps giving me a cute "TRY AGAIN" button. Well, why would I? Most of what's available isn't the kind of literature I read. This app is garbage.
Not dependable
Having lots of difficulty with audio books. If I don't use the app for a few days I have to restart my phone. I can listen one day and the next it can't open the book. I went over the loan time but there was no separate notification - I would only know if I opened the app. Fortunately it was still available and it remembered where I was in the book.
Awful user interface
The best audio book library app ever
The best audio book library app ever. Free audiobooks from your local library or libraries! I don't need to go in and scan anything just select a book, wait and you get 3 whole weeks to read it, more if it's not a popular book. Wait times can be a lot but that is the case for any library.
Less than one star it’s a scam
Less than one star it’s a scam
I used it for the first time because borrow box didn’t have a book I was wanting to listen to
Got 20 minutes in and it said my internet connection was down so I returned the book and reborrowed (yes while my internet is apparently down) I started again and same thing won’t play because my internet is down
