Horrible people

Horrible people, I called to cancel order because it was taking longer than I anticipated, numerous phone calls and emails were conveniently unanswered. Then they send me email that if I wish to return something they will take a 10 percent stocking fee. They continue to not answer me, I will call Amex in the morning to dispute. Horrible business, if you read the reviews they have been reported to the BBB.

So don't I feel stupid

So don't I feel stupid. I bought some gear form these guys several years ago, and everything went fine, no problems. decided to get an add on for stove, didn't even occur to me to vet the company. It's been two months multiple phone calls and Emails. Nothing. So I mentioned my problem to my wife, who is the IT department for the family, and she discovered that Luxe is now a bunch of crooks, liars, and cheats. Beware.

Complete scam. Ordered a stove and it never showed up. They stopped answering emails when I asked for a refund.

Guessing the owner is in the forest…

Guessing the owner is in the forest eating mushrooms... He's certainly not answering the phone, I know that much. Waiting over a month for an order that is supposedly shipping... but that can't actually be confirmed as there aren't any employees returning calls or emails. I'll never do business with them again.

Like a lot of others one star is a gift…

Like a lot of others one star is a gift to them, no service ordered on Dec 12 2022. Still no tent or stove. 12 emails to them with 2 responses blaming the customer for bad reviews when they say it is in stock when it is not. End of season and never got to use. Still don't have. They suck! Hope you check here for reviews before buying on. I wish I had

Order Canceled, but No Refund - Fraudulent Business Practices

Sounds like I'm in a situation very similar to others here who have posted 1-star reviews.

I placed an order in early December, then didn't hear anything about my order status even after repeated attempts to get in contact with Luxe. On December 30th, I asked for my order to be canceled and my money to be refunded. On January 7th, Luxe said that they'd get the cancellation handled asap and that it may take 10 business days for the refund to process.

After 10 business days, I contacted Luxe to ask about the status of the refund. Since then, I've attempted to contact them 5 times with no response. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company in hopes that they can resolve the issue. If not, I'm going to look into other legal options like small claims court to get my money back.

Total scam

Total scam. Do not buy from them. If you have, check your credit card terms and conditions and request an immediate refund before the stated business days. I bought a stove in late September 2022 and still haven’t got the product. I contacted Luxe Hiking 5 times, received 1 automated email and another vague apology. When I finally requested a refund, no response. They have great products on offer but don’t deliver. DO NOT BUY.

I gave them 2 stars because I did receive 1 tent of the 2 I ordered. I tried to order a Hercules tent from him, but I had to cancel the order after there was no movement with shipping. I will caution all buyers to pay with PayPal. That way you will not lose your money. I've been in contact with Luxe the actually owner and he's trying to get the Luxe name brand away from Hiking Gear. He told me last week that Hiking Gear hasn't purchased any gear from him in months, so I doubt the Hiking Gear has any inventory.

Horrible company

Horrible company. They immediately charged my credit card the moment I placed my order, didn't provide any estimated shipping information, and never returned my calls. Finally cancelled the order. It's been over 30 days and still no refund.

My mistake for not finding/reading…

My mistake for not finding/reading reviews before I "donated" $230.43 to Luxe Hiking gear. My order was placed 3/22/2022. As with all the reports above, My money was GONE instantly and is still gone. The company responds how "important" I am "no kidding"... and says my place in line is secure. Not one positive response to my asking for a full refund. Perhaps as another dissatisfied customer says above, I'll file a "fraud claim" with my bank. Already I've found several very similar tents through another company but the my $230.43 is needed to purchase it.

This company is the worst to deal with

This company is the worst to deal with. It's shocking they still exist. Products aren't bad, good price, but the service is intolerable. Bought a titanium stove, and it took 5 months to get here. Then I took a chance on the octo tent thinking everyone has a bad day... SAME result. No stock, and no shipping dates. It finally came 12 weeks later, without a tent pole!! Read the fine print, some tents don't come with a pole. I was forced to order again to get the missing part, that was 6 months ago. I couldn't wait any longer and canceled. The only thing they did promptly was to cancel my order and credit my account. That's why they get 1 star.
All they have to do to improve is actually have inventory or provide an expected availability date BEFORE orders are placed. And DON'T send people to your "Policy Page" every time they send an email asking for an update. Please, just close your doors and help mankind preserve our sanity.

The owner is a fraud and thief

The owner is a fraud and wouldn't recommend working with this "company"
They write on their website that they have items in stock but when you order it, he won't email you that the items are back ordered, you have to ask them why the item is not being shipped. Days later, he will reply saying your order will be shipped in weeks/months and can't tell you when. The owner didn't want to refunds me, he said he would refund my money on the 9th of November, I had to call my credit card company and my bank and decided to wait 15 days, on the 26th he send me the exact same reply he sent me on the 9th.

I contacted my bank again, filed for fraud and had my money back the same day.

Boycot this joke of a company.

Terrible costumer service

Ordered a Tent pole and two of the bathtub floors back in August. Never received the items. I then canceled the order and was told I would get a refund back on my card 3 weeks later nothing. I’ve sent several emails no response. Here it is the middle of November and no product and no refund. I think they’re just taking as much money as possible and the filing bankruptcy.

someone should go there and teach them business principal.

how can they do that and get away with it , and keep promoting and catching more people , these are crooks .

I would give Luxe Hiking gear a “ZERO…

I would give Luxe Hiking gear a “ZERO STAR” for their customer service and shipping performance, but they will get a 1star rating for now. If they will fulfill my order then I’ll remove my rating.
They will not answer calls or give shipping status (tracking number)
Many people are experiencing this scam of a business. People are commenting on possible class action law suit against the company. Either give the people their product, or their money back! 😡

BUYER BEWARE

Stay away from Luxe Hiking Gear and the owner Jacob Morrison – absolutely the worst company, scammers!!!

They often have things on sale, BUT… you will be lucky if you get anything you ordered, could just simply lose your money.

They never pick up the phone, not taking voice messages, the email response is always the same standard reply – not even trying to help.

Read the reviews – so many people experienced the same problems… It is simply mind blowing how such scammers could freely operate in the USA and the authorities seem to not care…

I purchased Hercules Winter tent in early March 2022 from Luxe Hiking Gear before reading the reviews – big mistake! Paid $720 USD. I could not get any intelligent response from them for almost 3 months, then got the following response:
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work hard to get your order to you.
As soon as your order ships you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information.
If you don’t want to wait we can ship a Megahorn XL in place of the Hercules Winter Tent, it will ship sooner.
You may also cancel your order at any time; please let us know how you would like to proceed.”

I did not want a different tent, however from the reviews it appears people are not getting their money back…

Later LUXE responded they won’t be able to ship me the Hercules tent “for at least several months”… which I figure (with these people) means NEVER…

All the time Luxe Hiking Gear fraudulently listed this tent as “in-stock”, available for purchase. So people kept buying it as Jacob Morrison knew he could not deliver, but was taking people’s money.
