I am a recent customer to Maxrebates. I joined because of the signing bonus. I was disappointed w what my referafriend bonus came out to be. It was no where near $50. I think they should explain a little clearer the refer a friend bonus structure.
But otherwise I’ve been very happy! I love the wide variety of merchants. Thank you!

They are scam! I made a purchase more than 6 months ago. But still “Pending”. I emailed several times but they always say “ Due to the heavy volume of orders they got, other merchants review the order late and we need to make follow up.” Thats it. Do Not Use MaxRebates

The thiefs! I made a purchase more than 1 year ago but my cashback status is still "pending". Do not use them.

They are big scam! Be aware! Whe you see the cash back is not shown up and try to file a claim, they will tell you that merchant is not supporting claim. However, they never list this at the cash back page before you made the purchase.

Update: Don’t trust their b**shxt at all. Lucky this is the first time I used them. Just been scammed about $20. God will let them repay for this.

This is the absolute WORST of the cashback sites. I have never been asked by any other site to "Verify" my purchase, since you know, that is the whole point of the cashback site.........to verify and pay out. I showed them 2 of the 3 they asked for and can't find another(because its 2 years old). So they are now keeping over $200 in cashback for this. NEVER had this on any other site. Do not use them, Topcashback is awesome, RebatesMe, Rakuten is hit or miss, but these guys are the #1 worst. Avoid at all cost.

I completed the requirements for an offer and was expecting a rebate of $17.99 which is significant for a click trough site. After a few month of not being credited, I contacted MaxRebates. I was told that the transaction was denied by the merchant. The merchant then responded that they could see I used an offer and that nothing was wrong with the transaction. Even though I've shared the merchant emails with MaxRebates, the refuse to give me what I qualified for. Be careful! I will report this to the IC3 goverment agency and the BBB if this is not resolve promptly.

There are so many TRUE cash back websites, save your time, avoid MaxRebates!

When you want to payout, they will ask you to email them near every single order screenshot!

It turns out it is IMPOSSIBLE to get your money paid!

They will leave your cashback to rot in "pending" purgatory indefinitely. It has become clear that they will never update this or actually pay it out. I came here because they offered a higher percent than other places like Rakuten that I'd used. I understand now that it's just some sort of scam.

January 2023 update:
Checked back out of curiosity. Still "pending" and we are 4+ months out from the purchase. Once again - unfortunately MaxRebates is some sort of scam I fell for. Just use a reputable site if you want cashback.

Often has really great deals, which means lots of cash back. It took a while and had to jump through some “security hoops” to get initial payout approval, but since then have received 2 payouts just fine!

Save yourself stress and effort and use trustworthy cash back sites instead of MaxRebates.

Took over 6 months, multiple contacts with MaxRebates and seller store to receive payout. Received less than the cash back percentage advertised, but am just glad I got anything. Process is filled with unnecessary steps that seem intended to trip you up and avoid a successful payout.

After checking on the status every few weeks and getting the response that MaxRebates still was unable to confirm my order, I contacted the store directly. They informed me a payment had been made to (what sounded) a separate company months ago. After sharing this detail with MaxRebates I was informed this was a parent holding company and suddenly the cash back appeared in my account.

After requesting a payout I then was told that further verification was needed and I had to send a screenshot of my order (which I had already done to request the missing cash). Am now in the 7-14 day waiting period for the payout to process - fingers crossed it actually goes through.

When I asked about the lower cash back rate (I got ~$40 less than expected) MaxRebates told me it was up to the store to decide how much to pay. Sounds like deceptive advertising on MaxRebate’s part and inconsistent with every other cash back site I have used.
