Excellent Customer Service and Lightning Quick Service!!

I had a medical emergency this morning and needed to use this service. This was my first experience with it and I LOVE IT!!! I will definitely use it again in the future. My emergency was a dental abscess - the left side of my face is very swollen and I have trouble talking. I needed customer service to help me because my insurance plans changed and I didn't realize I needed to create a new account under the new insurance. The man I spoke to was extremely helpful. He was patient while listening to me speak slowly so my words could be understood (again, swollen mouth so talking clearly was a challenge). My phone kept dropping the call and each time he called me back immediately, confirming all my details each time to confirm that it was me he was speaking with. I received a call from a doctor in less than 2 minutes from talking to the customer service agent. The doctor was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned about me. I appreciate how quick this service works and how fast the doctor sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy. This entire process, start to finish with the customer service agent and the doctor took about 10 minutes or less. I'm sure it would have been even less if I didn't change insurance. When you're feeling lousy and need a doctor, you don't want to wait around for a call back or sit in the urgent care. You want immediate care from someone that truly wants to help you and that's exactly what I received. I highly recommend this service!!

On 9-25-19 I setup my account on Mdlive
I contacted Dr Misba Lateef. She asked for my symptoms and prescribed medication to treat my allergies. She ask my for pharmacy info. And was going to send the prescription to the pharmacist. 2 hours later the pharmacist never recieved anything from this doctor. I had to call Mdlive and I spoke to someone about my situation. She said she would contact some sort of team to investigate. Well 20 minutes before the pharmacy closes i received a text thst they sent the prescription. But now I have to wait till the next day to get my prescription. This company needs to monitor there customer service. I totally will never use this service again. Any I am sure they will still get there money from me.

Absolutely worthless service!

Absolutely worthless! This is NOT the old MDLIVE of years ago, much has changed and it is not a total waste of time and money. The ratings will continue to DROP as this service has changed drastically from the way it was just a couple of years ago.

Called in today, my son clearly has Strep throat (I've raised 3 kids and have seen my fair share of what Strep looks like). I called in and spoke to a DR who's only criteria was a "Rubrics Cube" # that generates a "Probability" score of whether or not "You score" high enough to get antibiotics. I explained half my sons class is Out sick with Strep, my son has swollen neck glands and white flaky patches in the back of his mouth but because he lacked a "fever" above 100.4 he "didn't score" high enough to show he has strep. I was advised I could go on Amazon and purchase a in home strep kit (which I checked and it will take 4 days to arrive, not available as a PRIME item) and if after testing him it shows positive he could have antibiotics, the kit is $40. So, I asked the DR should I just let my son "suffer" with a burning throat and lack of energy? I wonder if he would let his child wait "4 days"... In the past, when I would call in and describe symptoms and explain what was running around his school (flu, strep ETC), the DR would call in a prescription and we would knock out whatever my kids or wife had going on. Not now, now you are just told to take Tylenol and order test kits online. NO THANKS!

Instead of this nonsense we Headed to the CVS minute clinic for immediate help an antibiotics. After all is said and done, for $99 albeit having to leave our home, it is a BETTER option to go see the minute clinic, leave with the antibiotics (i guess I would have to have left my home anyways to go get the meds had the DR called them in like HE SHOULD HAVE). After taking into account the $40 MDLIVE said I would have to order and pay for just to get them to call in my sons Antibiotics there is only a $59 price difference and then saving the $35 a month for this now TERRIBLE service, there really isn't any benefit or savings to having MDLIVE. Called and canceled their service as of TODAY.

Not worth the time or money

Not worth the time or money. Said I had seasonal allergies & needed to take Zyrtec. I do not have seasonal allergies. Did send an RX for zpac but nothing for my cough. So I will end up having to make a dr.'s appointment anyway. So I will be paying copay & wasting my time twice. Not worth the hassle.

not happy

This is the second time have used this service. Filled out all the information and the on line doctor apparently did not read any of it. Gave me a standard diagnosis with prescription way under what was needed. The nurse that called -could not understand her at all. Ended up in urgent care with a much stronger antibiotic. In short, I ended up being sick for 10 extra days

Horrible service

Horrible service! Set up an appointment for my two year old at 2:00 and kept him up from his nap since it would be a video call. Received a phone call at 3:30 stating a Dr. would be available in in the next couple of hours. Our pharmacy closed at 6:00 and a complete waste of time for us and our child. When we first used MD Live years ago the call was within minutes. We also used for my daughter around a month ago and took almost two hours. I was hoping this was just a one time thing. After today I see it wasn’t.

Service may depend on your problem.

As an older guy suffering from a urinary tract infection, I was unable to schedule a timely visit to my Primary care provider. I called the nurses at Humana, available by phone, to see if there was something I could do. The nurse I spoke with enthusiastically referred me to MDLIVE.

In my experience, enrollment was not simple. A part of the process requires confirming a password sent by email, which I never received. The time-consuming process was finally completed by phone. At that point, the phone assistant asked if I would like to make an appointment. With a sigh of relief, I said yes. When I told him I believed my problem was a urinary tract infection, there was a long pause. The assistant then told me that MDLIVE Doctors weren't allowed to assist men with urinary tract infections. He then went on to explain what I needed to do to have further interaction with MDLIVE. I told the young man that I didn't need to take any further actions, because I didn't intend to use the service in the future.

It sounds like most users have had a much more positive experience than I did, but I wonder what other ailments are "out-of-bounds."

Be mindful you may pay for a consult and still not be treated in many cases. You may spend 50 bucks to be told what you already know. Best to put money towards an in person visit in my opinion.

I was in very bad pain and I voiced to…

I was in very bad pain and I voiced to the Dr. that I went to eye doctor thinking I had an eye infection but that wasn't it but told it was a sinus issue. I secondly used MDLIVE and was told just to take ibuprofen. I stated I had already don't that and I was in got pain. I ask if maybe antibiotics could be given, he told me NO not for 10 days. Now to me that did not make sense due to the pain I explained I was in. Then I ask do you think Sudafed will help, he say it could. SO I ask what kind since there was many (I was in Walgreens already)and his response was ANY KIND. At this point I WAS DONE!! I did go to an Urgent Care and I did indeed have a Sinus Infection.
NOTE: I just wanted to say I have used MDLIVE before with video chat when I was out of town and it was very helpful in an urgent time. So it just may be the person I encountered this time. I WOULD TRY USING AGAIN.

Pathetic Service

Disgraceful service for a company that is involved in health care. The Doctor was fine and the wait was only 30 mins but that is the end of the good part.

Prescription never showed up at the CVS pharmacy. 5 hours, three calls to customer service at MDLIVE and two trip to CVS Still no resolution...total runaround. The customer service people have no interest in resolving problems, just mindlessly giving lip service to "escalate" issues. Oh..even got the "re-escalate" line. They need to train and hire some competent people.

Rude doctors

Doctor told me there was nothing that could help my symptoms and I just need to let it run it’s course, antibiotics wouldn’t help. Which is fine that’s all I wanted to know is if it’s something treatable or not (coughing, sore throat, fever). I couldn’t afford to go to an urgent care and I’m glad I didn’t since it’s apparently something that’s not treatable anyways. But then the doctor got kinda rude when I asked for a doctors note for my work (which it says on the website they can do). He said “yeah I’m not gonna do that, if ur actually sick then u can go get seen in person” ..... what the hell is this thing for then if not to get help when ur sick. Are u implying that I’m faking my symptoms? Or are you saying that u guys aren’t able to actually help? He could have just said nicely explained that he couldn’t give me a note and it would have been fine. But instead, the Doctor was very rude and unprofessional and I still don’t understand the purpose of this website. Over $100 million in funding but yet they still can’t hire decent doctors.

It was very efficient

It was very efficient. I appreciated it being available over the weekend when my regular doctor was not available.

MDLIVE works for me!

I appreciate being able to contact medical personnel on the weekend or holiday when no one else is available, and be able to have a prescription if needed. The wait time to talk with them is relatively short. I have used this service a couple times and been pleased with it.

Quick & easy care for a simple UTI!

I was very skeptical about paying for a phone call with a doctor... especially given the mixed reviews. But my normal doctor is closed for Labor Day weekend and I didn’t want to pay urgent care prices, so I decided to go for it. $49 and a 5 minute phone call later, and my MD Live doctor has sent meds to my pharmacy for me! I got to choose the doctor, and a time for them to call me back. The doctor was professional, efficient, and pleasant to speak with. Way better than spending half the day in an urgent care!

Waste of time and money. spend the time and money to go to a doctor in person because that's what they will tell you to do anyway.
