Many people were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality, difficult to use, and often interfering with their work. Customers frequently encountered issues with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and nearly impossible to reach a real person. The website and user experience were also a major source of frustration, with many struggling with login systems, account access, and navigating online help. Some people also felt that the service provided was severely lacking, with issues ranging from technicians failing to resolve problems to a general disregard for customer needs. Failed Redemption Prices

i've tried to get in touch with customer service at least 10x over the last 3 months and no response. I faithfully shopped and earned cash back points but the system is showing that I redeemed the points but gives no pathway to collect. This is unfair and represents misrepresentation.

Unfair Microsoft M365 Trial Cancellation and Billing Experience

Microsoft M365 – I signed up for a trial subscription but forgot to cancel before the billing date. After being charged, I tried to cancel the subscription, only to find that cancellation is allowed only on the renewal date. This means I could potentially be charged again.

There is no effective phone support either — when I called, I was simply directed back to the website.

It feels unfair that advance cancellation is not allowed, especially when a user has no intention of continuing to use the product. This policy appears designed to generate additional charges rather than provide a user-friendly cancellation process.

If there was a rating of '0' I would…

If there was a rating of '0' I would use that. I had an unauthorised purchase on my account through a paypal account set up for the annual subscription. It has been impossible to sort this out. The system requests a card number to tie in with the purchase but it doesn't recognise paypal, just a card. The system sends you round in circles. I waited 3 hours to get through on a chat line only to be off loaded on to a different area (games) where the problem is billing. Currently the fraud is with Paypal who is also trying to get through to microsoft. Never again, next year I'll be moving off 365 and on to open source software.

Absolute robbery

Absolute robbery. My personal Microsoft account was locked by their automated security system over a year ago, which completely blocked my access to my profile and data. Despite actively locking me out of my own account, Microsoft continued to automatically deduct $35.95 every single month for an Xbox subscription I couldn't use. Charging a customer recurring fees for a service they have actively blocked you from accessing is a disgusting, unethical business practice. I had to get my bank to permanently block them just to stop the unauthorized theft. Faceless corporation with zero support—avoid them at all costs.

Microsoft Disability Answer Desk too difficult to find

I have mixed feelings about Microsoft support.

Once I finally reached the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk, the adviser I spoke to was excellent. She was patient, understanding, and solved my problem efficiently. I made sure to thank her personally because the actual support I received at the end was very good.

However, getting there was an exhausting experience.

It took me around 11 phone calls over roughly 3 hours, spread across more than 24 hours, just to find the correct department. The Microsoft Disability Answer Desk was not clearly visible or easy to locate. As someone with dyslexia, being forced through huge amounts of text, multiple webpages, chatbots, and confusing support routes caused complete overload and exhaustion.

I eventually found the number through a chat box that seemed very reluctant to provide it. I had to repeatedly explain that I could not manage the website properly because of my dyslexia.

At the end of the call, I mentioned that the Disability Answer Desk should be much easier to find. I was told that if people type “Microsoft Disability Answer Desk” into Google, they will find it. But that misses the point entirely — if you do not already know the exact phrase exists, how are you supposed to search for it?

Accessibility support should not feel hidden away behind layers of text and digital barriers. People with dyslexia, cognitive overload issues, or other accessibility needs should be able to find specialist help quickly and clearly without hours of stress.

Excellent staff member once connected, but the route to accessible support still needs major improvement.

The endless chase for the confirmation code

Allow me to tell you a story based of true events.
I only left a 1 because it is the lowest it allows me to give.

I just want to log in to play some games on a launcher, MUST IT BE THIS DIFFICULT???? Honestly I am not an email kind of guy, WHO EMAILS OR BOOKS MEETING IN OUTLOOK ON THEIR SPARE TIME?

No one, that's who.

A simple man like myself only uses email adresses to sign up for other services because it is MADATORY. And please, do inform me as of WHY I could speed up to Frodo to Mount Doom and back BEFORE I EVEN GET TO LOG IN?

Step 1. type a security code (that I was forced to have) but simple enough. "Easy" I said, blissfully unaware of the dreaded fate that awaited me. Now step two, "we've sent a code to _____ :)" ANOTHER-

Fine. Ok. I'll just log in to the OTHER email that has nothing to do with this. "Please type personal security code :)" Whatever happened to passwords- You are the one who sent me here in the first place!! Ok ok. Now what?

"Please enter the last four digits of your phonenumber :)"

DO YOU THINK I AM SITTING ON NATIONAL SECURITY?? CARE TO EXPLAIN WHY IT IS EASIER TO GET INTO THE EPSTEIN FILES THAN MY MINECRAFT ACCOUNT?!

FINE! NOW. WHAT.

"Please solve this pussle to ensure you are not a robot. :)"

...

WHO AM I? INDIANA JONES???

I felt enraged. Alone at the edge of a universe humming a tune.

FINE. FINE. I'LL SOLVE YOUR STUPID PUSSLE. BRING IT ON! COME ON! HIT ME! I CAN TAKE IT! WHAT NOW?!

I'll tell you what. It wanted to scan my fingerprint via my mobile device.

I was at the point of sooner hanging myself than playing my game.

So my question as a broken man.

Are you happy now Mycrosoft? Will you sleep soundly?

Time to complete login: 15 minutes.

Stop buying game studios no one likes you.

For a long time like 12 years I have liked this game and gave it 5 stars on Microsoft's store reviews and song of there accolades to anyone I could and now; I go to update my skin and I accidently clicked on head that I thought I was just checking out but the game just used my leftover coins from another purchased and with no confirmation or anything just money gone. I still was like whatever I was not using the coins anyway, money was already in Microsoft's hands not like it charged me more to my bank or anything. Then to add insult to injury I got a community guidelines violation for my skin that I just got robbed to buy now I can't use it. So then I go change my Minecraft review on Microsoft's store saying what I posted here and bam they slap me with an off topic comment and remove my review. Wow the capitalist really got the system on lockdown.

I wish one could go lower than 1 star.

I wish one could go lower than 1 star.
I just want to summarize my entire life experience with any m$ products so far...

I can't name a single one that doesn't have any major bug in it that makes it frustrating or impossible to use properly.
They slurp so much of your data. even claiming many gigabytes of your device's real estate in storage.

I don't need AI shoved down my throat with every app. I don't want to have a m$ account always connected to the internet. Some telemetry bazooka OS. Worthless apps like teams or outlook got even more worsened. Even word/excel, paint or notepad got encrappifier.

With every step they make, their entire ecosystem, it gets worse and worse.

There's no hope for any of their products and beside de-googlefying your life, you should consider demicro$lopping your life.

It's a shame Minecraft accounts are tied to m$ and Xbox. Their login systems often are down, so you can't even peacefully play block game.

Terrible CEO btw.

Microsoft has too many incompetent…

Microsoft has too many incompetent people writing garbage code. Just three of many frustrating examples of incompetence. Their forced updates result in unstable apps like Word that shut down or force reboot and destroy docs without recovery. Word inserts unwanted popups right where you are typing. Word also interferes with window movement and resizing. Too many features that are not just useless, but irksome because they automatically interfere with operations. Microsoft needs to get customer advice instead of incompetent employee advice for its products. Microsoft needs to stop forced revisions of its products, leading to destruction and contempt for Microsoft.
