Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. 3 attempts to start movie. Ad breaks in middle of key conversations. Stream ended before the end of film. Don't waste your time . It's completely f***en useless
A company that blocks all service…
A company that blocks all service provider IP addresses after selling a lifetime license, preventing you from using the service. I recommend you to look for other alternatives.
1 minute 50 seconds of adverts every 9…
1 minute 50 seconds of adverts every 9 minutes when watching a movie. Extremely annoying. They put adverts on right in the middle of a conversation. They can at least wait till the main actors aren't speaking before they interupt the viewers viewing. Redicolous.
Terrible...
Terrible.... advertising is relentless and oppressive. Not at all worth using.
Too many adverts and too frequent
Just bought a new Samsung TV and was able to use Plex for the first time.
I opted to watch a film and was really annoyed to have the film interrupted every 9 minutes for 1 min 50 sec adverts.
Shan’t be using Plex again.
Great experience overall
Plex has been a great experience for me as a Plex Pass holder overall. However, I've encountered issues with the app not working properly on some devices. On the other hand, installing the media server was easy and convenient, and the community-made tools have further enhanced my Plex experience.
Wrong movies play . Useless
Used this for the forst time and never again. I clicked play on a movie and it wasn't even the right one 😂. Very slow system and overall incredibly poor
Plex tv sucks
I have been with Plex TV for a short time however I will not use Plex anymore. During the shows I've watched the show will stop and you have to either start over or fast forward through a lot to get to the point where it stopped. This is happened to me multiple times and many times I cannot get back to where it left off and I miss part of the show. It is not worth my time. I do not recommend it at all.
I thought I'd watch a film today on…
I thought I'd watch a film today on Plex, I'd forgot all about having Plex, it didn't take long for me to remember why I'd forgot about it. Ad's every 10 minutes, each of them lasted 2 and a half minutes. Last time for me. Bye bye Plex.
Could be great
Great selection of tv shows and movies but.........
if I pause for too long and come back to continue it gives me garbage screen to log into amazon ? then yesterday literally 5 mins from end of a movie when all would be revealed and it finished ! on came other shows I could view. So I missed the ending.
Also annoying is they ramp up the ads towards the end of a movie.
Sorry but its Tubi for me.
Fix the hiccups and I could come back.
I would like to place a 5 star review.
I would like to place a 5 star review, but I'm not wanting to watch commercials for any political view. Sick and tired of the last 8-9 years. The only place to watch The Drew Carey Show.
WRONG MUSIC!!
WRONG MUSIC!!
was rewatching Drive (2011), mostly for the soundtrack. Guess what??? the entire soundtrack has been replaced with copyright free generic youtube music or sth! changed the entire feel of the film, felt like i was watching something else. do not recommend 0/10. I'd rather pay then watch the wrong thing.
Endless ads if you watch their stuff
Endless ads if you watch their stuff. The most I have ever had on any platform. The media server works but have problems with picture selection on my TV. I cant select film mode so that movie are too clear and look like documentaries. But don't get this to watch their stuff
Ignore the hate here.
Looks like this page has attracted all the people that don't know how to follow instructions or manage a media server.
I have been a Plex pass holder for years and had zero, ZERO issues with it. I've been tempted by other services many many times (Kodi, Jellyfin I'm looking at you). Nothing comes close to the refinement and versatility of Plex. It's an utterly brilliant ecosystem and is considered the gold standard amongst media enthusiasts.
Don't review bomb it because you are too incompetent to read the manual.
Very good
Very good, I've had no issues watching a movie as we speak
One of the worst apps ever
One of the worst apps ever, so slow & crashes all the time.
Utterly unreliable
Good media server when it (rarely) works. Constant issues and crashes on the Nvidia Shield Pro. Must constantly reinstall from scratch. No support despite lifetime Plex Pass subscription.
Update (03/25/2026): Now spams you with unsolicited newsletters despite unsubscribing.
How to ruin Movie Night
Adverts every ten minutes spoilt our enjoyment of a great film. Then, to add insult to injury, a new film started before that one had finished, cutting off the important final words of the movie. We'll never make the mistake of watching with Plex again. Would have given no stars had the option been available.
bought lifetime Plex pass
bought lifetime Plex pass. absolutly zero support. The only option is to do a chargeback on your CC, that is the only way to get their attention.
No customer support!! No contact possible!
This rating is purely on the customer support of Plex.
Well, that's unfair actually because...there is NO customer support AT ALL!!
If you can't find an answer to your problem in the FAQ or support articles or if no one answers your post in the forum then...that's it!
You've basically run out of options!
