I'm very impressed with PIA, it has good features and is very stable in operation, and well ahead of many of its competitors in that regard. It is easily setup as well as great value in the bargain. I would recommend it to anyone.

Avoid these scammers, once you register they automatically add auto renew and no option for cancelation.I only needed this service for 3 days and now billing me every month however still waiting for my refund.

Please be advised that it's within our terms of service that accounts are set to automatic renewal when purchasing using credit card, paypal, amazon, etc. You have agreed to our terms of service upon purchasing the subscription. You can easily cancel the automatic renewal once you login to your account page as well.
We have checked the account and it's already been refunded. It should be back to your account in 5-10 business days.

Only required this for a couple of days, so signed up for one month only. Made sure auto renew was off. Hey guess what, they have been charging me for 4 months, been waiting for refund (they make it very difficult to request a refund). Account shows auto renew is off, money keeps going out from PayPal. I would look elsewhere.

Terrible vpn service. It doesn't work with all streaming services (like Amazon Prime etc.). More ads popping up than usual, with this vpn. I can't trust a vpn which is not efficient enough to cut down the ads.
Cancelled my subscription within a month.

during first tees of using, - was not any small problem in activating account, at entering programm, at first learning between points the menu of setup.. all steps was gone fluemtly and easy. as it must be.
and even, when i met the global problem with local limits to much of services,- which became an obstacle with setup application to mobilenphone, - this service supposed me , and they found successful decisions for solving my problems with this application. i believe in companies , who can do really fast and resultative support to clients . it give us feeling that COMPANY always near us and ready to solve Client's problems. keeping in touch with their customers

I've used MANY VPN services over the years. I've been using PIA for over a year and it's the first one I've used that has never had a single connection issue. No down time. No bad connections. It just works when I hit the button every single time. I finally don't feel like I need to have multiple VPNs just in case. When my license runs out this will probably be the first time in over a decade I don't even look at other options. I'm happy with what I have.

Open source clients and dedicated desktop app for Linux, including Fedora. The best one I found so far. I wish the app would show closing it won't disconnect. I thought initially I have to keep the app open all the time.

Professional support, patient and persistent. Although the fixes are quite "in depth" the end user is given the links with which to re establish the account. But I found this to be way too complicated to achieve with ease, being somewhat of a technophobe, the offer of a reset and resend login details did the trick. Although I was with without cover 4 days

So insane slow. 3mbps at max, at many servers NL. need to recconect somany times to get a normal server that have fast good connection. browsing goes so insan slow. videos on youtube are buffering only, photos loading very slow, from dec 2022 till now. (maybe alot weeks/months before december). hope this will be fixed asap. hope I will get my money back from dec till now. I have fast internet without the vpn on. when vpn is on my internet goes slow. My friend have the same problem, so its not only, me that have this problem.

Used to be good, cancelled for awhile, resubscribed and it’s junk, try to access Canadian sites when I’m out of the country using a Canadian VPN and it says I’m outside the region.

Works well between 90% to 95% of the time. I do have to switch server ip locations frequently, as the download speeds vary on a daily basis; for the most part. I am happy with the service. Not sure about the ownership by Kape technologies. Due to the controversy surrounding Kape, I will not renew my subscription. but I do feel more secure while online whether on my pc or on my Android phone. No update to the vpn on pc in over a year. I check my ip location regularly to see if the vpn is working as intended; so far very good. On occasion the vpn connection and download will slow quite a bit, but PIA has told me a couple of times that that will happen to to various factors; servers at capacity or not alvailable; overall internet traffic of internet providers; web sites having technical difficulties. the cost is why I chose PIA; less expensive for my needs than other vpn providers. I may, in the next year or so, switch to Proton vpn or Nord vpn; their security and privacy seems better; I believe both are being externally audited. I am happy that my connections are fully encrypted, as far as I can tell; and what I learn from security web sites related to vpn services.

Main Pro: i can make the world think that me & my computer are anywhere in the world.
Main Con: I often have to turn off / disable the PIA VPN in order to sign in to banks, google account, and for Linux updates otherwise I get "internet problem" type messages.
Overall: On balance I am very happy with the service and the app is simple to use .

Been using PIA since 2015 until today (2023), So far so good. Mainly use for encrypt network 24/7 for all my devices like MacBook, Smartphone etc... Also to bypass country restriction for certain website. I feel secured browsing any website without a doubt with PIA connected all time. PIA is a MUST-HAVE add on for privacy / data protection!

I picked this provider since they offer WireGuard and also a native browser plugin for Opera.
On the plus side, the OpenVPN connection using the Windows app did work as expected with good speed. However, I was primarily interested in using Wireguard which is a protocol that uses a lot fewer PC resources and also can run on a router. Unfortunately, the app that runs on Windows 7 does not support Wireguard. I contacted the chat and asked where I can download the Wireguard config file to use with the regular Wireguard app. Unfortunately, they do not offer Wireguard config files and restrict you to using the app.
I then tried the browser plugin in Opera. For some reason it would show super long ping times in the ping tab (larger than 1.5 seconds). It would not connect to the Japan server the first few tries. It eventually did connect but a few minutes later the connection stalled and I was once again presented with the "no internet connection" in my browser. The other server on offer connected better but are not close to my location.
I also tried connecting via Wireguard and OpenVPN from a mainland China location. Both of these attempts failed with any of the servers tested. So apparently PIA is not an option for restricted countries either. Bummer.
So I ended up uninstalling everything after testing for an hour.

VPN service is ok but location is very limited, it has no server in countries like pakistan which is needed for cheap netflix. I did not check within 30 days so now i am stuck.

Love this software! Very easy to use and straightforward. Gave me everything I wanted without overwhelming technicalities. Price is spot on as well. Purchased a month and going to renew for a whole year... would do the 3 year but on a fixed income. Still the price is very competitive and doable.
