I used to run PIA a few years ago and came to trust it. When I needed a VPN again I naturally chose PIA again.

Private internet access is awesome. Fasts speeds and downloads from most servers I use. Easy access to many of their apps for windows, mac, iPhone and android that i use regularly. Really like all of them. And the price can't be beat.

It just works in US and RU. Split tunnel helps with torrenting without captcha hell in browser.

simple and easy to use. It's also very affordable

It's a VPN with no fluff. The windows program itself isn't visually intrusive and sits neatly in the system tray.

Hello, I've had this program for many years now. I'm really satisfied with their customer service, and there are no and just. Privacy is great. I recommend this program to everyone who wants a virtual private network, and I will keep using this program as long as I can.

My subscription was to renew. I had a special offer for three years. I was given the price but was not told for how long (three years; two years). I chatted with CS and the operator would not guarantee the subscription since It was not written anywhere. I wrote several emails and never received a response despite demanding a clear answer. None was ever given because emails were never answered. My subscription expired without getting any response and was told after a month of this sh*t, "you let your subscription expire, but you can purchase other subscriptions at a higher rate. Here are the links!" Just awful and shady. They now say they cannot do anything to remedy the situation. It's "too late but we apologize and we appreciate your feedback." I am going elsewhere.

UPDATE 30.08: They now offered me the same rate I argued as a "courtesy." After all this time.

Unprofessional. Insulting. I'd avoid and go elsewhere unless you're ok with their rates and business practice of charging and saying "no" to anything you may need.

Barely responsive app, doing anything takes several seconds even opening location list, with no way to know which location you have the best connection to as they report incorrect stats(500-4000 ping), split tunneling doesn't seem to work and trying to get help from support was a waste of time.
Support is either AI or doesn't care, first response had nothing to do with what i had problems with and second response, when i tried again, only partially answered my problem with what they could brush off as "doesn't matter in terms of the app working"

I don't have the wherewithal to evaluate the actual functionality of PIA; but I can say that it runs flawlessly on all my devices (Windoze and Android).
I don't see any data slowdown at all.

pia dont keep logs thats what i pay them for, good speed, reliable connections and alot of them

The VPN does not work as expected, not able to by-pass a bunch of geo-blocks.
Not easy to use the refund-option, as the page just guides you to stop the auto-renewal of the product but not to claim a refund.

Used for 8 years now. Dependable, flexible, solid.

I've used PIA for about 8 years or so. I love the variety of connections and the ease of use.

Have used for several years. When I had a rare issue, their customer service was fast and accurate. Minimal blocked connections.

The best of the VPNs at a good price. Very smooth interface, always works, plenty of choice of locations.

I tried PIA about 11 days ago, my experience was mixed to say the best. Immediately my password and username that they provided (weird) didn't work. Following that after setting up my account there was no option to remove my payment information, despite having turned off auto-renewal. They advised they cannot delete information without deleting my account (massive red flag, this is a choice not a necessity).

I procceeded to get in touch with customer service who advised me to just update the information with fake information instead of my real card, so I did but I was not able to get their system to accept this information.

I then tried the service and it was far slower than any of their competitors such as Nord. They cut my internet speed in three.

At that point I decided this service wasn't worth while and asked for a refund, which I did receive. I then asked them to delete my account and they kept referring me to their DPO team (who, as far as I'm aware, do not exist), this team has yet to respond to me 11 days later.

I've contacted the DPO team directly and their support multiple times asking for my account to be deleted and my data scrubbed, yet I can still login on their app - where it asks me to renew.

I did my research and trusted trustpilot and some other sources I consider reputable, yet, this has been the worst VPN experience I have ever had. I can't stand people saving my data without my permission, the whole point of getting a VPN is to avoid this sort of thing.

If you're privacy concious - avoid.

Happy to consider changing this review if and when I get confirmation that my data has been deleted.

PIA = easy robust Performance + excellent VFM !

Numerous regions are, in fact, located not in a place that it named. It can be easily checked by "curl vpninfo/servers/v6 | jq" to gather IP addresses and then check at check-host net website with multiple geo databases. Most of the EMEA location is in Romania, Bulgaria, and Spain. Most of the Asia locations are Singapore and Japan. Most South American locations, in fact, are in the USA

At the time I paid my account, locations in my usage were fine except for Uruguay. It was initially located in the USA. But when most locations became faked in about May 2025, the services became unusable. Even if they'll fake post the location databases somehow, the service will remain useless. Because companies like FAANG are using their own databases, which cannot be faked

I can accept and understand when you make a fake location where it's too complex or impossible to maintain hosts like Iran, Venezuela, or China. But what is the problem maintaining hosts in European and South American countries?

I wish I didn't need to use a vpn but you cannot trust the UK Nazi government, it's started with arrests for words they don't like and soon enough they will be taking us out of our homes and putting us into concentration camps so they can put the asylum seekers in our homes.
