The best of the best
I really wanted this RM Pro to work and maybe it does!
I really wanted this to work having been the owner of a faultless RM 2 for years. But unfortunately, 2 RM Pros and 3 Marker Plus pens later, it is too unreliable. Sometimes you can write, sometimes you can't. Sometimes you can open a document sometimes you can't. Sometimes a menu option works (with the pen), sometimes it doesn't. Yes I can use my finger to close the documents and do most navigation but, for the money, you shouldn't need to.
So 3 stars for the Support staff who try very hard to help and for the faultless old RM 2 which I now have to get back off my daughter.... Very disappointing.
But wait....further testing (or just plain luck) showed that the problems appears to be when laying on a glass surface (my table top). Being held or a different surface material - no problems!

Great Product, Challenging Pen & Service
On one hand, I talk up my ReMarkable 2 to everyone who sees me using it, and send them links for it (I have been an effective advertiser). I bought it for a middle-aged foray into grad school, and it was a lifesaver to have piles of PDFs available to mark up and refer back to (still). I prefer to take notes by hand when meeting IRL, so I adore that I can convert those to text for my own files or for others'. I also like to take notes and depict concepts graphically. I keep all of my consulting project files and sketches for home improvement projects on hand. HOWEVER, it didn't take long for the original pen to start to disintegrate around the pen tip, so because I now can't really use it without bending tips (that render the pen useless), I had to dig deep to pay for a new one. EXCEPT that it arrived two months ago and it never worked. I've emailed ReMarkable support about it many times at this point, but I'm getting nothing back, so they've rendered my ReMarkable unusable. Not sure what else to do to get their attention other than coming here to whine about it. The only other disappointing thing was the folio. For the money, I got a better one via Etsy that holds the pen (most critically), my business cards, and some notes.
Unremarkable Service…
Ordered from the website over six weeks ago as a gift and it still hasn’t arrived. Customer service has been utterly useless, unable to give even the vaguest idea of when, or if, I’ll ever receive what I paid for. It’s unacceptable for a company with this reputation to treat paying customers with such disregard. The product might be “remarkable,” but the customer experience is an absolute disaster.
Order Cancelation Handled Perfectly (I still bought the Move)
My inquiry was responded to very quickly, and the resolution was exactly what I asked for. I placed an order for the Move on the Remarkable website, then I found one at my local Best Buy store. I asked that my order through Remarkable be canceled and it was done.

The reMarkable is a great product and I loved it until they pushed an update that caused me to lose my ability to use it. Their customer service is the worst experience with a company I have ever had! You can ONLY chat and I am now 2 weeks after first contacting them- I have FOUR different tickets and have been contacted by e-mail twice asking me questions that would take less than a minute via telephone. They had CSR phone support, but did away with it and good luck if you have a problem like I've been having. They are great at telling you via chat that they are sorry, but they are useless. I urge you NOT to buy this product unless you have the ability to be your own technician. They need to take a page out of Apple's playbook!

I was honestly shocked how useful and easy to use the remarkabke2 is compared to other e-ink notebooks. My wife has a kindle scribe and after using it for a few weeks I was convinced I needed one for work myself. After spending way too long researching various options, and knowing I wasn’t really that interested in color, I had narrows it down to three. I have to say the thing that’s sold me on the remarkable was the ease at which you can upload, add, manipulate and save outside documents. With the kindle, you literally have to email yourself. With the remarkable, you just connect your Microsoft or google cloud storage and you have access to everything.
And I do think, in spite if my initial reaction, that paying for the service to move between multiple devices is worth the very small price.and the fact that they sell refurbished units allowed me to get a much bigger and better device for the same price.
My only negative, and this is likely a result of the age of the remarkable2, is there is some latency with the writing, and there is some ghosting that easily resets once the screen refreshes.

Great customer service to support the users of an amazing product. Solution oriented, approachable, friendly.
I am Remarkable 2 user and it is as close as it gets to digital experience of writing on a paper w/o distraction, w/o negative impact on environment, and never ever forgetting or losing your notes.
I opted for refurbished and it was just as new.
My question was about subscription. Answered clearly, directly, fact based, consistent to T&C.
If you like colors or backlight, go for pro or move, but don’t undermine the pure simplicity and beauty of the classic “black on white” note taking 😍

Incredible device and service!
First I want to discuss the device. I am a math teacher and I have used a laptop with a pen, then I went to an iPad with pen, then to the reMarkable 2. Writing on this tablet feels amazing and it is not "slippery" like the iPad and laptop. My math book is in PDF format so I can easily download it, project it (in full color) and write on it using the diofferent pens, colors, and highlighters. Afterwards, I simply email out to the students. I have upgraded to the rM Paper Pro because I like to see the colors on the tablet.
Secondly, I want to tell you about my customer service experience. This is top notch! After recent update, the share screen would not project. I restarted everything, the computer, the tablet, the projector, etc. I called customer service, they listened, asked about my device and what kind of computer I was using. The next morning, there was an update that fixed the issue! That kind of turn around time would not happen with Apple.
Refurbished ReMarkable Paper Pro bundle
I bought a refurbished ReMarkable Paper Pro bundle. On the first day I noticed that there was a lot of ghosting on the screen. I then googled this problem and learned that the paper pro has a lot of negative reviews. This also means that a lot of clients returned the ghosted objects for refund or replacements, which in turn, means that the refurbished item is likely one of these returned objects. For an object above £700 this is not acceptable even if there is a small discount on the refurbished. It has taken more time to return the object (it is still in transit). By the time I get refunded it is likely to be a month since I ordered it and all for nothing.

I had a problem with the screen share feature on my remarkable 2, I contacted them about the problem immediately, and the next day there was an update out and ready to install after which it worked perfectly. Great customer service
The Remarkable PaperPro is a great product, costumer service even better
The Remarkable PaperPro is a great product. I mainly use it for my PhD studies, to read and mark articles, insert comments and proofread and I've grown addicted to it very quickly. I've experienced a problem with it once, but costumer service has been great. They responded within a couple of hours and sent me a replacement very quickly.
