I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience trying to arrange a long-term truck rental with Roam.

My initial inquiry was on March 25, and as of April 15, I still didn’t have clear answers despite multiple follow-ups. Response times were extremely slow — often 3 to 5 days — and I had to keep chasing them just to get basic information.

When I finally did hear back, I was told that even for a long-term rental, a credit check was required, which seemed unusual. On top of that, the pricing was significantly higher than expected, and they didn’t even have vehicles readily available. I was informed that once approved, they would go out and purchase a vehicle, and I would need to commit to a minimum 12-month term.

Overall, the process felt disorganized and not very transparent, which made it hard to move forward with confidence.

For comparison, I ended up looking into Budget’s long-term rental options, which were far more straightforward, reasonably priced, and professional.

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend exploring other options before considering Roam.

Best $ rate and service

This group is very effective and efficient - reserving, pick-up, and return of the car was a snap. The facility is clean and welcoming. The car itself (2022 Audi Q5) was just what we hoped for.
Special shout out to Zak for squaring away some confusion about our contract in a very professional manner.
Recommend, and would rent again.

I had some questions and Nida was able to go above and beyond in helping me. She provided me with a new vehicle at an amazing price. I highly recommend Roam. Thank you Nida for making my experience with Roam a very good one.

Great experience

I was considering leasing a vehicle, but then I found Roam. I love that all the hassle of owning a car is taken care of - the insurance and maintenance is included. The service was great, their employees are all very nice and friendly. All their vehicles are in great condition.

This is my second experience with Roam…

This is my second experience with Roam as I needed a car for a few months. With everything happening with the auto industry right now it is basically impossible to get a car. Now that I have tried Roam I am becoming more and more convinced that I don’t need another car…I just need my Roam subscription.

Excellent service!

Excellent service and team. I was very impressed by the entire experience. Definitely worth the price. My car was basically brand new when I got it. If you need a car for a month or more, Roam is a great alternative to renting a car.

Wow wow wow!

Very good experience! The signup process was easy and they delivered the vehicle straight to my home. The team at Roam answered all my questioned and helped me with all the vehicles features before they left. I will definitely be renewing my subscription, thinking about getting the Tesla in after my current lease is done :) can’t believe this hasn’t been done before!

Awesome team! Hugely accommodating!

Awesome team - hugely accommodating. The folks here really do care about their clients, and it shows. They give a "small business" oriented & personal customer experience, but have a massive selection of cars, with nicer models than most rental car companies, for a better payment. Will be back

Was in a tough spot and needed a vehicle quick. Very friendly and fast service, very accommodating to my situation. Top notch service, and a brand new vehicle really makes the difference. Insurance included!

Avoid Curbo! Terrible management!

Avoid Curbo! If you go over your lease mileage you will be subjected to Constant harassing phone calls, emails and threats of repossesion by the so called general manager at Curbo! I prepaid for my lease for 3 months. Soon as he found out i was over my mileage, first they said oh bring the car back for an oil change and inspection and we will give you a loaner car since i already paid for june. Then it changed oh we can send go oil to do the oil change at my house! I said great since i live out of town. Then it was no the car needs to go to the brampton dealership for the oil change and inspection! I said fine i will drive it there and wait. Then that manager jumps in with No! You either return it here or we will come pick it up! I said what about my loaner? No we are not obligated to give you a loaner! I replied that i paid $1715.00 for this month june already plus $350 deposit! I will drop it off july 2nd 2022 when my lease is done. I need a vehicle for work. What about the oil change at my place i was promised? No! Just return the car or we will come seize it! Am like you better pay me back my money i have a binding lease till month end! But instead, more theeats from this guy like am supposed to be scared of him! I finally warned him not to trespass on my property and i have valuables in that vehicle and i will report the theft if this car missing! Now he claims i owe another $3500.00 for excess mileage and he wants repo the car and keep my $1715 i paid for june 2022! First they did not to want to lease to me after i submitted my photo till i first warned people about their shady practices. Then they suddenly rented to me but asked mw to remove my negative review, which i did! Now this nonsense! I am watching this vehicle like a hawk wajiting to see them try to steal back something i legally paid and have a my receipts and his threatning emails! That so called general manager is extremely rude, greedy and unprofessional! Do yourselves a favour and avoid Curbo! Even when i went to pick up the car, they had me standing around downstairs for over 40 minutes while they sat in their office! I called 3x and they said someone was coming downstairs to bring me on the private elevator but he never came down! I finally had go up with another employee. This place is a sad joke! Very unproffessional.Do yourself a favour rent from somewhere else!!!

We were happy to assign you 12,000 KM for a 4 month period in one of our brand-new luxury vehicles. After 2 months, you had driven the vehicle 18,000 KM so it was due for an inspection and oil change sooner than most of our clients require one. Since Volkswagen mandates an oil change at 9,000 KM, we requested to inspect the vehicle and perform the scheduled maintenance. We also mentioned we would refund you for the time the vehicle was outside your possession - no questions asked!

We appreciate that you did offer to take it to a dealership yourself, however our policy requires in-house inspections to ensure our fleet is maintained at the highest possible standards to ensure safety and the best possible driving experience for all our clients.

We did not ask to repossess the vehicle, we asked if you could drop the vehicle off at our downtown location, and even provided complimentary valet pickup so we could perform your maintenance & inspection, where it would be returned to you once complete.

We’re happy to assist all our clients with their transportation needs - and sometimes vehicles are driven more KM than they’re allotted in their plan! That’s okay, and also why we allow for flexibility for our users. Your over-mileage charge is nearly $3500, since you drove well over your expected KM’s. If you had called us to notify your change in KM needs, we could have quickly switched you to a different vehicle or plan that would make more sense for your driving requirements.
