We use smarty in our motorhome and love…

We use smarty in our motorhome and love the fact I can put on hold over the winter when we aren’t out and about.
So impressed, I’m seriously considering moving both our mobiles to Smarty from a well known supermarket.

No nonsense and cost effective service…

No nonsense and cost effective service that just works. In particular SMARTY includes data roaming as we became accustomed to when many other carriers charge extra for such “packages”. That’s the deal-maker. Generally I’ve noticed voice and data coverage to be good and equivalent to others around me on three contracts but recently while in Portsmouth, data coverage was poor compared to three which made me wonder whether SMARTY is truly on the full three infrastructure or it is throttled in some way.

Good Value

Smarty has been a much better value for money product than the previous mobile phone and monthly data products I have had. I can see no reason to go back to long term contracts now.

Terrible data service in busy areas in…

Terrible data service in busy areas in London.

Network constantly cutting out despite 5G full bars. Customer support confirmed it's due to 'congestion' with many people connecting to the masts.

Saving a couple of £ absolutely not worth being unable to use your phone at the most crucial moments. AVOID

I love that you can use it everywhere

I love that you can use it everywhere, and I have been a few places in the world and lots of Places in this country too and the reception is good. I love that I can use unlimited download minutes for what I pay a month is excellent. Would recommend you to anybody. I look forward to the next 12 months and a happy Christmas to you.

They told me me I had a b

They told me me I had a balance £0 to pay, when I requested a PAC to transfer my number to my new provider. But on the day of switching my number and leaving SMARTY, they took a further month's payment, which I couldn't use as they'd transferred my number and, effectively closed my account. Thanks SMARTY I'll think twice about using you again, purely from a moral standpoint, as your service up to that point had been very good.

Please know that even though you are moving to another provider, you still need to disable the auto-renewal function as payments will continuously be taken until this is switched off.

This is available in the SMARTY app and is the customers responsibility to turn off as customers have full control over their account if they wish to cancel.

Please speak to our webchat team if you are unable to do this so we can arrange a refund of the payment as a goodwill gesture.

An excellent service

Excellent coverage in this area of Somerset for both mobile and 5G broadband. Have been able to end a costly broadband contract and use a very good value DATA only SIM. Would recommend SMARTY.

One of the fastest 5g speeds I have…

One of the fastest 5g speeds I have ever seen. I can't believe I'm getting 2Gbit/s speed while I was only getting 3Mbit/s with O2 before. The connection is very stable. It is also very cheap for what you're getting. Customer service is great as well. Couldn't be happier!

Support When it goes wrong awful

After myself, my husband and teenage daughter having Smarty Sims for quite a few months suddenly the main number (teenager) had no service. On contacting Smarty we were emailed (you can't actually speak to anyone) saying it was paused as she is running a business because of bulk texts being sent. Turns out there is a boy she likes and has been sending far too large texts to him. No response from them and she's had no service for 3 days now so we'll have to go to the hassle of changing provider.

So flexible!

I always buy a months data to use with my spare phone when I have a need. I’ve used Smarty on a foreign holiday, after moving house before the broadband was available and when hiring a car, perfect for using Google maps!
I’ll definitely recommend.

Can't praise enough

Can't praise enough. 80 GB, unlimited calls and messages and only for tena! Can't be more delightful! Smarty today one of the best phone providers, people actually can afford to have decent internet and phone calls not just for themselves but for their children as well without damaging their financial situation and continue to pay other bills by using Smarty internet. How delightful and generous this is 😊

When using SMARTY indoors the average…

When using SMARTY indoors the average download speed between 4pm until 00.00 is 1-2 mbps while EE and 02 reach 78 mbps. SMARTY and Three advertise 99.5% signal coverage "outdoors" and that is what you get, outdoor signal because indoor signal is a disgrace! Simple, honest mobile - 99.5% outdoors. They are very cheap at £18 a month PAYG unlimited everything but I moving to another network because I am going for faster download speeds. No offense SMARTY/THREE but who would sit outdoors with their stuff outdoors to download at higher internet speeds? Stop throttling speeds because the more you throttle speeds the worse bandwidth you have to deal with. Virgin Media, SMARTY and Three I find the worse companies for throttling speeds and where does it get them? Nowhere.

Never had issues with Smarty

Never had issues with Smarty. They’ve always been reliable and at a good price. I only wish you had an option for an eSIM and you allowed texts to be sent to free short code numbers, for example to be able to reply to my bank or to be able to text British Transport Police, at this time it doesn’t seem like it’s possible so I have had to change network provider.

The move to Smarty was really simple

The move to Smarty was really simple, and my number was transferred at the time they said it would. Great value monthly package, unbeatable!
Customer service was amazing when my sim card was found to have a fault.

Went back to Giffgaff. Network in London pretty bad

Unfortunately, it started very well but I got pretty frustrated with the many times of bad networks indoor and too many dead spots in central London.

I didn't realise this until I moved to Giffgaff (which work on O2 Network) while my wife stayed with Smarty and we could compare network availability.

It's a shame because app, price and customer service have always been on point. But we both now swapped with Giffgaff and I'd say network reception went up by at least 3 times. I have an iPhone 15 Pro

Can't comment on the rest of the country but if they fix it, I think actual Internet speed was a touch faster although not really noticeable for everyday use

The price is really good and I have a good reception most of the time.
I wish I could text 5 digit numbers to do competitions and charity donations. I'm very disappointed that it's not possible.
