Smileactives is a scam

Smileactives is a scam. You pay for the original shipment and then they keep billing you and sending the product. You send back the product at a cost of $15 and cancel but get another charge and shipment. You have to keep sending it back and was told the second charge is the only credit I get. 60 day refund didn't happen. Don't get this product. It is just peroxide!

I would give minus stars if I could

I would give minus stars if I could. First of all, it does not work, literally. The pen they sent along with the bottle did not dispense the product. After using what was in the bottle for several weeks, it produced absolutely no change. Also, I thought I was doing a one time purchase, but today I received a full size bottle and three more pens. Apparently I now have a subscription, and was charged almost $50. This put my credit card over the limit and I incurred a fee. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! I will be reporting this to the BBB. THIS IS A SCAM!!

No where was it explained or shown that…

No where was it explained or shown that when I purchased the trial size toothpaste it would automatically enroll me into a subscription and charge my card. It has been a hassle for 3 months getting it cancelled being told different things each time I called. Still receiving bills for a product I didn’t authorize. Sneaky business and very dishonest.

Be careful with this company

Be careful with this company, they will automatically signed you up for automatic subscription without your knowledge with your first order to try their product. They will automatically charged your credit card again after a month without your consent. Today, I received an email from them saying I owe them something when in fact, they already charged me with the product they sent me on Jan. 18 & Feb 18 & I have cancelled the subscription on February after the second charges was made. Beware of scammers.

I didn’t enroll in a membership so I cancelled they r telling me I have to still pay them 93.00 I’m going to dispute them all now. This is a horrible business and to say the least it doesn’t whiten that great either! I will contact the BBB if I need to.

Smileactives are the same criminals…

Smileactives are the same criminals they were when they were Smile Direct Club. I ordered the teeth whitening gel before I realized they were the same criminals as before. Suddenly I had a subscription. I cancel the subscription and they tell me I still owe $114 on my subscription. What company does that for a returnable product? They gave me the option of paying now or installments. Absurd.

A bad experience

The subscription was hidden. I received notice that was being billed so I called to cancel. A whole other system sill came, not just the toothpaste but all the equipment that was in the first order. I called for a refund, and sent the box back. I had to pay $18 to ship it, and then got a partial refund. Then in a few weeks, I got a notice of another payment being taken. I called again to say that I had cancelled the subscription and already sent the product back. I still only got a partial refund. The product itself was just ok. Certainly not worth the extreme hassel!

I wish I had read other users' reviews…

I wish I had read other users' reviews before ordering.
The actual product worked as expected. However, there is an EXPENSIVE and DECEPTIVE subscription attached to your initial order. It is time consuming to cancel, and I had to engage in a lengthy online chat. After spending all the time in the chat, I am still on the line for THEIR shipping costs as well as MINE sending the product back. Would NOT recommend.

Not as advertised!

This product/company seems to be a highly advertised scam. The product is mediocre, at best, and the billing process is not made clear. Your second order of a full-size contained is approx. $90 dollars! It is broken down into monthly payments of $29.90. Even if you cancel, you still will be billed for this $90 dollar amount. I should have been more careful, but I never fully knew that the larger container was actually $90 a pop. Never again!

I’d give a 0 if I would

I’d give a 0 if I could. Another example of a crappy product and crappy customer service. You get suckered into a subscription and then a new order is placed. Within seconds of email, I tried to cancel order (order says waiting for details, shipping TBD) but of course the rep says- sorry- order has been shipped. I’m calling BS because now I have to wait to receive the product I didn’t want in the first place, return it and jump through all the hoops and pay for S&H. The products didn’t work so why would I want more? Don’t waste your money and time!

Smileactives is a SCAM

I signed up in January to receive product which I did receive. In February, I received more product and was charged for the product. They put you automatically into an AutoShip program. I contacted them via chat and told them to remove me from any autoship program and was told I was removed. Just received my statement and I was charged again and this time with NO product. These guys are hard to reach but I'll let my credit card company deal with them and backcharge them for the entire amount DON"T Sign up for their product.

Fake product plus unsolicited subscription

Fake product. Did not work and after a one time purchase I was automatically signed up for an account with subscription which they automatically charged to my account without permission. To get a refund I had to spend $15 to ship it back only to find out they would not refund that, or the cost of shipping the original product I didn’t ask for or the taxes so now not only have they charged $60 unauthorized I’m losing $10 on taxes and shipping and another $15 on shipping it back. Trash. Don’t trust this product or company.

Difficult refund process, deceitful billing

I purchased the introductory Smileactives kit (tooth whitening gel, toothbrush) and used the product. It has a very slight effect on my teeth, but I continued using it. I meant to cancel it, but forgot and the second shipment was mailed out. Upon receiving it, I immediately cancelled my subscription and requested that I return the 2nd shipment and start the process of a return. I tracked the return via the USPS, as instructed, and waited my "7-10 business days" for my refund. On day 9 I received 2 partial refunds of the 2 charges they had made, as the 2nd shipment was 3 times the stated amount, as the fine print states that the agreed upon amount would be charged in 3 payments. The 2 partial refunds were of the initial shipment #2 and the 2nd of the 3 payments. I was guanteed that the 3rd payment would not process. After the return and cancellation, I also deleted my payment information to circumvent any additional charges. When I called the company to see why I was only getting partial refunds, they stated they had not refunded the shipping - which they jacked up x 3, as the initial shipment had zero shipping, the 3rd payment isn't being charged (which included the shipping), so they rolled ALL of the shipping into the 2nd payment/shipment and kept a portion of my "refund". I was told I would receive a credit in the amount of $94.91, but only received 2 partial payments which totaled $81.99. I absolutely would NOT reccomend this company or product, as they are, indeed, deceitful in their charging and refund practices. It's take 3 calls already to try to straighten this out and I actually only have an email stating that I was partially refunded as they stated it would take "another 3-5 business days for my refund to process." DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Also, the product doesn't really do as much, if any, of what it promises. I should know better, but I made the choice to try, as they guaranteed a 60 day money back refund, even if all of the product was used - which, it wasn't, as I sent back the 2nd shipment unopened. Bottom line, it's a difficult process to get a refund (still hoping it goes through, as promised) and the product doesn't live up to the advertisement.
