Making a difference

After trying Hellofresh, Blue Apron and Hungry Roots for years, I tried Sunbasket. And I have to write - I love it. The price is a little higher but you can tell with how much love each meal is prepared and selected. It’s like someone knows your time is precious, still you don’t want to compromise on healthy, tasty food. The garlic is peeled already. And each week a little surprise is in your package and that for free. If I have to find a anything to do better, it’s to improve the quality of the potatoes. Outstanding job, Sunbasket Team. You convinced me!

I love SunBasket

I love SunBasket. I've been with them for years, after trying BlueApron, PurpleCarrot, HelloFresh. I'm a vegetarian, husband is GF, and I can always find things that we both like. Yes, sometimes delivery is late, & they always credit when that happens. People.... COVID IS HAPPENING. It's disrupting deliveries across this country! Perhaps consider the vegetarian options They're delicious and healthy! Sometimes they substitute some ingredients, but that's never bothered me... one type of tomato for another... no biggie. I appreciate the variety of recipes and the ease of preparation.

Absolutely love Sunbasket

Absolutely love Sunbasket. I love eating organic and their chickens which is humane certified. It is great that they work with a nutritionist to ensure balanced meals. They have converted me from a junk food junkie to a healthy eater...my blood tests show the results. A big plus is you get to chose your protein. Customer service has always been great. Highly recommend!

Used to be great. - UPDATED CS RESPONSE

UPDATED: While it took this post since my call to Customer Service was not great, they have since credited this order, made sure it was delivered, checked the status and told me they will track all deliveries personally for the time being. Changing my rating to 5. Good customer service can and will redeem a bad experience. Used to be great. I've been with Sunbasket since 2016. The last two weeks I got no delivery. Not even a late delivery just no delivery. I called this week before they closed and was assured my delivery was on time. Now I'm told it will come today. It shipped on Sunday. It's Tuesday and in the 90's. I'm 100% sure it's spoiled. I understand COVID is affecting a lot of things but I get my amazon shipments next day. This is food. Food cannot just be delivered whenever you feel like it. BTW I was not offered a refund. I have to wait until my rotten food arrives. I was told it's good for 48 hours but that is not what it says on your site and if it shipped 48 hours ago already, we are on 72 hours. I will probably have to dispute the charge. Thanks for respecting a long term customer.

Absolutely a Must Try!

I've tried many meal delivery services and Sun Basket is by far my favorite. For the past month I've paused all my other delivery services and have only ordered from Sun Basket. I've found that their food is predictably delicious and so much easier to prepare than the other meal delivery companies I've used. They have a nice variety of meals to choose from like pastas, meat dishes and hearty soups. My favorite thing about this meal service is that they have have a range of options from simply heating the entire pre-made meal in the oven (or even microwave) to preparing dinner from scratch. I've found myself ordering a lot of their "Oven Ready" and "Pre Prepped" speedy meals because both those options are super quick to make or just heat up and they taste amazing. The meals that I have to prepare from scratch are super easy too and they only take a max of about fifteen minutes to make. Another thing I absolutely love about Sun Basket is that they have lots of things you can add to your basket like meats, cold pressed juices, snacks and even breakfast and lunch items. I've tried their soups, ginger shots, cold pressed drinks and oatmeal and they have all been so delicious. No complaints

I was interested to read all the negative reviews by customers. I have used Sunbasket now for five deliveries and have been happy with them all. I recently switched to a vegan lifestyle. I had difficulty finding a meal plan delivery service that met my dietary needs. Sunbasket offers a few different vegan options to choice from each week. My boyfriend is not a vegan and still loves to at meat. I love how Sunbasket allows me to change a vegan meal out for a meat meal. Not all delivery services allow you to do so, because of the cost. Occasionally my vegetables have come a little too ripe and have started to soften, but are still 100% edible. While some of the meals say for two people, I find that often I can get enough extra food out of it for another meal or a single lunch. Perhaps this is only for the vegan/vegetarian meals because of the vegetables. In regards to the people who were upset with getting charged before they viewed the menu, Sunbasket made it very clear that once you put in your CC information, they would bill you for the first week and then would move on to select your meals for the week. Before I signed up, I had previewed their menus to get an idea of the type of food they offered. I do understand how it may be confusing for some, especially those new to meal plan deliveries.

INCREDIBLE

The food, the customer service and recipes are incredible. Its made eating healthy easy. I know I will have 3 great meals every week. the quality of the food is great. The recipes are things I never would pick on my own, but are soooo good. I'm also learning to be a better cook. the customer service has been great as well. I've needed to call a few times to modify orders and they've been so responsive and pleasant.

LOVE IT!

An awesome company... We are very pleased with the quality and ease of using the product. We enjoy the variety, simplicity, convenience and savings we get from using Sunbasket. We find that it saves us $$ to not have to run to the grocery. Plus, we know the food is here so we come home to cook a 30 minute delicious meal instead of eating out. We also love using it as a teaching tool on foods we have never cooked. All in all we are very pleased.

Restaurant quality meals at home

I love that I get to eat restaurant quality meals at home for a fraction of what I would spend when eating out. However, I do find that the meals are often under-seasoned (except salt), wherein I have to add my own extra spices. I like spicy food, and under-spiced means bland to me. Also, when a recipe calls for adding water, I usually add less than what is called for, because I find the stews and/or soups to be too thin. All in all, I find it excellent that we can learn as we go, and adjust as we need to adjust. It's part of the fun. One other thing.... the basil that you send is usually really old and wilted. That's the one distressing thing I find about the shipments, and one thing that Sunbasket can and should do much better.

Good quality food

Good quality food. Most of the food is organic and is plainly and well marked if it is. Packaged very well and is all recyclable. The recipes are easy to follow and are interesting from week to week. Has a great flavor profile, unlike other food delivery companies. I haven't gotten bored with the food yet after several months of using sunbasket. Have referred others to use and will continue to use.

Food is generally fresh and of good quality. These are very tasty recipes that are different from what you would cook at home or even for the most part what they would have in Step Up restaurants. if you have a problem of any kind you call the customer service and they are very good at taking care of business. They want your business and strive to be a top-quality customer service company.

I have only started with Sunbasket but …

I have only started with Sunbasket but was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food, the packaging, and the time needed to prepare the meals from my first delivery. Another service I used was very labor intensive while Sunbasket meals could be prepared quite quickly. I also am impressed with the number of meal choices I have for each week and am looking forward to continuing with it.
