The employees are polite. My problem with Terminx involves scheduling. Though I have not been a long term customer I have repeatedly had technicians not show up on the day or at the time that I expect... See more

Poor communication- bad service-unprofessional
The past two appointments (two out of three I scheduled) entailed technicians showing up after, or at the very end of the appointment window and not enough time was allowed for a complete home terminite inspection originally requested in Dec 2025. Last try was on 5/22/26 and the service tech called and said he was late and I had a prior commitment so we have rescheduled again.
In sum, the services I am paying for and the full inspection I want, has not been delivered in six months despite my monthly bill. No effective escalation path to customer service leadership exists.
From the start, communication was inconsistent and misleading when I signed up for an ongoing contract for termite bait trap and home protection. When I called the national number (1-855-485-6300) on 12/2, I requested a quote for bait trap installation, ongoing service, and wood damage protection. I was told the annual cost would be around $1,500 and that inspections could be scheduled “whenever you want.” However, I was never provided a copy of the contract or clear terms before the visit. The wood damage protection plan was requested and the team at the 855 number advised that cost is extra and would be quoted after the visit. After multiple requests and 6 months since signing the contract, no quote has been provided yet for limited wood damage protection.
During the initial service, the technician installed the traps but conducted what I can only describe as an incomplete and unprofessional inspection. Large portions of the property—including about half of the cellar and the entire attic—were not inspected. Despite this, the report indicated no termite damage. The technician asked me to sign his tablet, presenting it as confirmation of the visit and installation, without making it clear that I was agreeing to a full annual contract at approximately $130 per month. It took me several phone calls and emails to obtain a copy of the signed contract which is very alarming.
Since then, the service has continued to fall short. Terminix has been over an hour late to two of the last three scheduled visits. Coordination between the local office and the national customer service line appears very poor, leading to confusion and lack of accountability. Additionally, the local branch manager in Owings Mills as of last Dec, who was apparently promoted to a new role, was rude and condescending in both phone and email interactions. When I raised concerns, the responses lacked professionalism and did not address the issues in a constructive way including stating "I highly advise reading anything prior to signing it. We would not send you anything other than the agreement that was signed or prior to being signed." Yet I was not sent the agreement in advance and was misled when signing.
After this, I formally reported these problems and was told a customer service manager would follow up within a few days. It has now been four business days without any response.
Overall, the combination of unclear contract terms, poor communication, unprofessional inspection practices, repeated tardiness, and dismissive customer service has made this a very disappointing experience. I would strongly encourage better transparency, accountability, and professionalism in both the sales and service process.
My next step, BBB complain, law suit or mediation to force contracted services, or full refund.
DO NOT choose this company!
DO NOT choose this company!! My husband and I were in the process of selling our house and we called one of their specialists to come and evaluate our property. They told us that if we sold we would not be subject to fulfilling their contract. We paid $171.00 a month and the service was lousy! For 9 months we continued to fulfill the contract and when we sold our property they told us we had to finish paying out the contract. Not only did we receive poor service but they also lied about the contract. DO NOT use them. You can receive better results with your local pest control. Lesson learned!! Shame on this company. Dissatisfied Oklahoma customers.
Review for Mr. Dezmond Carr
I am an Elder at the Church of Christ at East Side. On Monday, May 18, 2026, it was called to our attention that we had ants in some of our rooms in our Education Learning Center. I scheduled an appointment with Terminix. The next day, May 19th, the technician, Dezmond Carr arrive to address the issue. He serviced the entire Learning center and addressed not only the ant issues, but spider issues as well. He left an ant trap to make sure any lingering ants were killed.
Mr. Carr was prompt, professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable of what needed to happen. He treated both inside and outside of the building. He also took time to explain how the ant trap works and suggested the teachers be watchful for students so they would not tamper with them. It was a very timely visit, and I deeply appreciate Dezmond's excellent demeanor and the professional way in which he handled the service call.

Buyer beware worst company ever!
Buyer beware worst company ever! We thought we were signing a contract for one time service on a house we were selling. Instead, it turned out to be monthly fee for a yearly service contract. The technician misled us, and I have been not able to resolve this issue with the company. We have canceled the contract and still have to pay the monthly service for one year. They continue to bill us a monthly service fee for services they do not do. Isn’t this a truly breaking the law. This was truly deceitful. I have not been able to talk to management. They have been truly unethical business.
No shows and missed appointments
They only show up for the most routing service. When we scheduled appointment for anything else than just a simple spraying outside they kept cancelling, not showing up and refusing the service allw hile charging us subscription. Stay away from them.
I worked for Terminix in Houston for 3…
I worked for Terminix in Houston for 3 years before they wrongfully terminated me. In Houston it is run by a bunch of unethical buddies. They hire their friends. I was quoting a very large company in Houston one time and the total price was $1600. The branch manager came over and asked who I was quoting? I told him and he said F them Brian. Charge them $5000. They have the money.
That's the type of people who work there. I spent half my days on billing issues and service issue. Technicians not showing up or calling. 6 managers in 3 years. That should tell you something. Don't waste your time with these Guys. Save yourself time and money. Look elsewhere.
One star is generous!
Look else ware. Made two appointments and no one showed for either! Customer service is a joke. When you can reach someone. Cancelled my contract and would certainly not recommend this company. Buyer beware!!!!
Just a scam
Signed up for 5 days of service for &1000.00 for squirrel removal. Promised 5 days and 5 traps for my 5 holes. First day I received 3 traps and Alexis told me 5 is overkill. In one hour 2 squirrels in trap and she replaced them. Day 3 I only had 2 traps. Manager Brian came out and put down many more on Thursday. Friday morning all trap’s removed. I paid for 5 days not 4. Saturday I went outside to and discovered a forgotten trap with a squirrel. Called and was told Monday. Squirrel could be dead by than. Stay away from this company!!!!!
Very polite!
Terminix Customer Service
I have been in contact with Terminix for over a month now trying to resolve my account and billing. Each time I receive the same message "I have escalated your concern and someone from the local branch will respond to you within 24-48 business hours." I have yet to receive a response. When I ask for the local branch office's contact information I'm told they are not allowed to disclose that information. Meanwhile, they have decided to send me to collections for not paying my bill. The only positive I can express is that the representatives also express their apologies for my frustration and are polite. Otherwise, the overall customer service even from the supervisor level is absolutely inefficient.
On 2-16-26 Francisco Jimenez with…
On 2-16-26 Francisco Jimenez with Terminix came out and said I have a rodent problem and it will require a rodent exclusion to take care of it, I said I have rodents on my $46.01 a month plan already and was told that more was required to take care of the issue. He said they will cover all the holes where rodents can get in and clean the attic, remove the old insulation, and put in new insulation that will help repel rodents. We agreed on $3,900 and I told Francisco that I only wanted exclusion if you did the attic, I have a small attic, and he told me that it was not a problem. They came out in March using chicken wire to cover the holes and placed four traps inside my house. This was in March I work a lot so my availability is limited but I have attempted to call Francisco multiple times since March without him returning my calls, I’m on vacation this week so I’ve called him several times this week without him answering or returning my calls, I called my spray tech Pat on Sunday I think and she said she would try to contact him and have him call me about finishing the work and neither one of them contacted me. I called the Terminix office today when I failed to contact Francisco again and Luis finally called me back. Luis said that he refunded $1,900 to me back in March, which didn’t happen and he told me that upon reflection they decided that they are unable to do the work in my attic after all, but no one decided to tell me and that the chicken wire and the four traps cost me $1,000, I said I told Francisco that the entire deal was contingent on the attic and if he hadn’t told me that the attic was going to be done, then I wouldn’t have gotten the exclusion, Luis said he didn’t know what was said by Francisco, but they aren’t going to do my attic and they will just refund me $1,900. Terminix does not stand by their work, nor do they care about their customers, I have paid Terminix a lot of money over the years and I’m still paying them a lot of money, and they cannot stand by the promises they make even when they charge exorbitant prices. I do not believe Terminix had any intention of doing the work or refunding me the portion they owe me if I had not called the head office. They didn’t catch any rodents in the traps, there is evidence that I had rodents at one time, but apparently, I didn’t have any when Franciso said I needed the exclusion now I feel like I was lied to just to get almost $3,000 from me. Buyers beware if Terminix says you need a product or service, I’d get a 2nd opinion, because I was lied to just to get thousands of dollars from me and the tech that lied to me ducked and dodged me for almost two months instead of coming clean about his lies.

I do not recommend Terminix. Call another company!!
I do not recommend Terminix or working with account manager Jake McGee based on my recent experience.
I paid over $1,800 for wildlife exclusion and repair work, and the results have been extremely disappointing. The scope of work that was discussed and implied was far more comprehensive than what was actually delivered.
The only work completed was sealing a few exterior holes and installing two flashing panels on my chimney (instead of all four corners as expected). The chimney itself was never properly inspected, the chimney liner was not evaluated, and the chimney cap was not replaced—despite this being a key concern discussed upfront.
The quality of the work is also unacceptable. The sealing was done very sloppily, with expanding foam visibly smeared across exterior walls, leaving an unprofessional and unsightly appearance—especially concerning as I am preparing my home for sale.
Additionally, the technician damaged my attic door during the visit and stated it would be repaired. That repair has still not been completed.
Communication and follow-through have been equally frustrating. I have yet to speak with anyone beyond Jake McGee or one of his coworkers, and there has been no meaningful resolution or accountability for the incomplete and poor-quality work.
For the amount paid, I expected professional workmanship, proper repairs, and attention to detail. Instead, I received minimal, incomplete, and careless service.
I would strongly advise others to consider other companies before moving forward and do not work with Jake McGee.
Was quoted $99 over the phone
Was quoted $99 over the phone? When the inspection guy Alex Johnson came, he told me that we needed more stuff done and it was gonna be $3000 to tent our house or $600 to do a complete flush out. I told him we did not have those funds available, we would just like to do the base Treatment to just get something started, and he told me no they will not do that. I then told him that he could go ahead and leave and tell his technician that he is not needed. I then called the supervisor for the terminix in my area, and he told me that the inspection guy called him and told him that we was not going to go ahead with the service and explain to him why and he said that that was okay when I asked the supervisor why I was quoted one price and then told another, he said that the call center people does not know What the residents looks like so they just quote a price. I told him that all their call center people need to be retrained and he told me, yes, ma'am, I agree, well, why haven't they rrtrained everybody again? That is horrible customer service. I have worked in customer service for over 25 years. And I don't dare give customers this kind of service at all
I purchase a contract with this company…
I purchase a contract with this company in Jan2026. It has been the worst nightmare. This is in lithonia, Ga.
I called for rodent inspection in Jan. Inspector said I had lizards. I purchase insect treatment. Still seeing droplets in attic. The company never schedule or correct day promised or they don’t show up or there is an appt and the person never show up. No one in manage return calls .customer service just take message no accountability by management after many complaints . I paid for the year. This company is horrible. I’m calling Clark Howard consumer affairs. Please go somewhere else. They have merged with renick. Please do not sign up. Hope they go out of business. They will reap what they sow. God will repay for their wrong.
Crawl space vapor barrier incomplete!!
Mr. Brett T. Ponton,
A crawl space vapor barrier that was unprofessionally done by your company in August of 2025 is my upmost concern at this time. I have reached out to several people within the company: Michael Douglas (Pest Control Consultant), Jeffery Sargent, and Jason Grover. You would have thought someone would have been concerned enough to come see the crawl space for themselves. Many promises from customer service but no action! Supervisors and promises that someone would contact me. This has not happened yet!!
I have been a customer of Terminix for quite some time. Being frustrated for the last two weeks, I am at the point that I would like a full refund of 1600.00.
I would have never known of the incomplete service until I had an issue with a pipe and the conditions were seen. The Terminix installers did not remove any rocks or debris the plastic was layed on top.
I am so disappointed with this lack of professionalism. Now, I wonder if the money that I have paid monthly for pests and termites inspection was done properly.
I am a retired teacher on a fixed income. I really need the funds returned asap. Thanks.
Respectfully,
Eleanor Cornelius
Customer service experience is horrible.
I have been trying to receive a pro rata refund for a termite/pest control contract on my home. I cancelled the contract on March 13, 2026 because the home was sold to a third party on that date. I had paid $361 for a full year, which expires July 31, 2026. As a result, the unused portion of the contract or $138.47 should be refunded for services I am no longer using due to the house sale. I have had several telephone convesations with Terminix, but they have not yet agreed to refund the money. Their customer service department is woefully inadequate. You have to hold for a very long time; then the representative can't give you the answers you are seeking. She can't even connect you to the manager of the Terminix branch in question, Kelvin Wiley, even though he is listed by name at the Terminix website, with the office address of 485 Production Avenue, Suite 100, Madison, Alabama, 35758. It is taking entirely too long to get a response to my request for a refund. Based on their customer service, I would not recommend Terminix to any homeowner seeking reliable, trustworthy, termite or pest control management.
Terrible experience with Terminix
Our experience with Terminix was extremely disappointing due to inconsistent information, incomplete or miscoded services, and poor follow‑through. We were clearly told that certain services would be provided at no cost to correct earlier inspection errors, but we were later billed anyway. When we questioned the charges and pointed out discrepancies in the service records, Terminix accused us of being untruthful rather than addressing the documented issues. Multiple visits were required, yet the agreed scope of work was still not completed as represented. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve clear inconsistencies made this a very frustrating experience.

A Wasted Morning and No Inspection — Terminix Refused the Service: My Terminix Experience
I recently had an appointment scheduled with Terminix for a termite inspection, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. My wife booked the appointment without realizing it wasn’t with our usual company, BugCo, so I rearranged my morning and was late for work to be home for the inspection.
When the technician, James, arrived, he immediately declined to perform the inspection because our home has a shared wall and they wouldn’t be able to sell us a termite treatment. The appointment was only for an inspection — nothing more — yet the service was refused simply because there wasn’t an opportunity for a sale. After waiting and losing work time, being turned away for that reason felt unprofessional and frustrating.
This experience made it clear that Terminix prioritizes profit over service. Even a basic inspection wasn’t worth their time unless it came with a guaranteed sale. That’s not the kind of customer care homeowners should have to deal with.
Because of this, I won’t be using Terminix in the future, and I can’t recommend them based on this interaction.
Never use this company
Never use this company! Terminix is a call center for local offices and they have no control over the local office. I paid the local office $750 to remove birds from a vent and when they showed up after the estimator wrote up the job he didn't even bring the ladder required. The job had to be rescheduled for a couple of days later but they did not show up or call me. I called them at the end of the day and they didn't even know the job was scheduled or not complete after the first visit. I immediately asked for a refund. It has now been 3-4 weeks later and I am still getting the run around about my refund. The main office escalates and nothing happens. I talk to someone and they say they will do something and call me back and they never do. I call them every 2 days and it is the same story. I am now reporting them to the BBB and the attorney general. This is ridiculous. Use anyone but this company.
UPDATE: Terminix responded to one of my other reviews and asked me to send me all the details of the issue. I did so and have not received a response from them in 3 days and counting. I am thinking they wanted to have the appearance of resolving the issue.
