Do not touch with a ten foot pole!

Paid over £300 for a bike. Waited two weeks for delivery, being fobbed off with excuses blaming DHL. Eventually, I got a box of bits that I could not assemble and a link to an instruction video which in fact did not exist. The assorted bits are now in a heap in my front garden, awaiting one of the scrap metal scavengers to take them away. So far, even they seem reluctant.

Really happy with my recent service at The Bike Project. Really good communications, they were very attentive to my bike and carefully looked it over. Very good communications on the price and the couple of extra parts it needed. Good price for the service and it rides really well. Recommended. Thanks!

Awful, rude staff. Ruined Christmas

Awful, rude customer service. I ordered 3 bikes for Christmas. Paid in full at checkout, including delivery. I live in London and so expected for the bikes to delivered fully built and ready to go.
The following day I received a phone call from a member of the team informing me to expect delivery in four days. Fine.
But I was also told they had undercharged me for delivery 'but you only owe us £20'. Plus the bikes will arrive via DHL i.e. will need to built. Apparently I live in the wrong part of London!
I explained that it wasn't my fault 'the system' made a miscalculation on the delivery and I also expected the bikes to be ready to go, as per website description. I'm a widowed, single parent and haven't the time to build the bikes without my children noticing. I highlighted the fact the phone call was to charge me more money and give me more to do. The guy on the phone basically said tough and said I was welcome to cancel the order. He was totally unwilling to help in anyway and his tone got progressively more rude as the call continued. I cancelled the order out of principle. The service I had paid for in full was not the service I should have expected, apparently.
I was so upset I tried to call back to speak to someone more senior but apparently the phone only works two days a week.

Great Charity Great work!

I have worked in a large variety of bike shops in the past, as well as been served by many and I have to say from personal and professional experience that the quality of the work that the mechanics and staff do here is second to none! top of the line work!

They are a fantastic Charity, please check out their website and what they do and support their cause!

Brilliant lightweight kids bike, easy to order, posted to you

I bought a bike from the bike project for my 7 year old. The bike is a Hoy one with 20 inch wheels and we are delighted with it. I love the fact that the bike had been refurbished so I knew the breaks etc were in good working order. The order process is easy and it arrives in a big box which is way better than having to collect one. The front wheel had to be fitted but it was easy to do. My son wasn’t a confident bike rider before but the new bike has been fantastic, he’s taken to it much more easily, the bike is light and easy to use. I just love ordering from a company that makes your life easier (eg no shopping on a busy Saturday because I work in the week) as well as doing good. I love the ethos of the company and the bike was excellent quality, a great saving vs buying new and it supports a brilliant cause too. I have no hesitation in recommending the company. If you are looking and can’t see something you like pop back onto the website the following week as the range is updated all the time with their new donations. I looked for a few weeks to find the perfect one for my son.

I received my bike in a box and built it using the helpful online videos. So happy on many counts. The bike was in great condition. It's second hand so I was half expecting otherwise but it is top notch. Loved building it myself. I learned about correcting breaks which I've never really quite understood before so that's a win. Rides very well, everything feels right. It was cheaper than buying new. Bikes are so expensive these now! I also helped refugees. Winners all round.
