This course has been great so far. You have to be very motivated as life can get in the way but I love going at my own pace. It’s definitely reignited my passion! I’m 1/2 way and so far we seem to be covering everything in an understandable way.
The course is well set out and taught me a lot about how to use my camera. The tutor is also friendly in his feedback and I'm learning a lot from him. I enjoy the course
I am loving the course but it was a shaky start. As an absolute amateur I found some of the early modules went way over my head. I did find the tutor to be very fair with his feedback and did seem to take into consideration my limitations.
My lack of any experience with photography computer programs has been a disadvantage and slowed me down with getting assignments submitted.
I am looking forward to the next module.
It's been challenging because I am such a novice but it is exactly what I needed. The reading material is clear and concise. The assignments are challenging but practical. My tutor has offered valuable advice and is always quick to mark my assignments.
As a keen enthusiast who has mucked around with photography for several years, I was becoming frustrated at not really improving. So I signed up with the Photography Institute, and have learned so much over the last few months.
The material is well presented in a logical and easy to follow way.
I would recommend this course to anyway who wishes to improve their knowledge and skill.
I'm halfway through the course and completely loving it. Its been well set out in each module and the assignments have been fun to complete. Highly recommended.

I love photography but there is just too much reading in each module. Would be great if there was less reading so those doing the course can remember whats being taught.
It's been amazing so far, really helpful and informative! I've learnt sooo much and really enjoy doing the course, the tutors comments are soo encouraging too! So glad I decided to do this course.
As a full time mother this course has given me the opportunity to study from home to achieve a qualification in a subject I love. I have learnt so much and I am only half way through my course. Modules and assignments are interesting and challenging, and marked by the tutors promptly. I look forward to completing the course and seeing where my qualification takes me.
When I started this course I had no intention of doing photography professionally, this course has enabled me to upskill my photography knowledge and decide the photography genre I wish to focus on, it's encouraged me to photograph professionally. I've also learnt alot about myself. If you decide to enrol, my advice would be, don't overthink things, read the module FIRSt, read the assignment LAST, no question is a stupid question, use the Facebook help pages that are available.
This course really is the real deal!
I entered the course as a total newbie with very little knowledge beyond happy snaps and vacation photos. I now have a very good understanding of different photographic techniques and have elevated my skill to a level I'm really proud of. Once you finish the course you can begin to 'deep dive' into other courses that are available through the institute to continue learning. Can't recommend this highly enough!
I would highly recommend this course for any stage photographer, i started this course with a strong passion for photography that was a hobby in which i wanted to change into a career. I loved working with my tutor who was always available and provided me with much guidance and professional quality feedback which in turn encouraged be to grow as a photographer.....i really did have the best support from Justin. I say to anyone wanting to do this course to spread your wings, take the leap of faith and put yourself in a position of personal growth. with dedication, a questioning mind and your inner artist you'll be on the right path to achieving great things...do it!
HOnestly i have nothing to compare this coarse with. As its nothing like what i have done in the past. As a general thing maybe suggest camera exercises like quick pics to get use to taking pictures rather then fiddling with settings. I know that seems like a no brainer though may help people some people build confidence with taking pictures
This is such an excellent course, highly recommended. This was exactly what I needed to get me into photography. Further to that, actually knowing what I'm doing when I pick up my camera now! And the confidence it brings; invaluable.
