Terrible company

Terrible company. I had a trip scheduled to april 2020 that had to be postponed because covid-19. It was impossible to get enough information from PADI. They didn't help at all. The only way was to contact the boat directly. After that i reschedule the trip to Januay 2021. Since this trip is longer i had pay the diference. No problem about this but then PADI take this oportunity to charge my credit card imediatly despite PADI's rule about last payment being done only 90 days prior to departure. I complained and they fully ignored me. If you want to book a liveaboard, go to Liveaboard.com, it is much much better

Great support during crisis

The PADI team answer all my calls very fast, always get the response in maximum 2-3 days. They manage to change my travel booked in April 2020 to exactly the dates I asked in October, without extra cost :)
This will be my first travel with PADI and after this situation I am trusting them and also feel more comfortable to travel.

Unfettered Greed!

They may be just fine when times are good, but throw a little complexity into the situation and they show their true stripes. I paid them over $6500 for a dive trip for my family to Fiji. Before the travel closures, and while I was still willing to go, the Padi dive resort closed due to "too many cancellations." Padi refuses to give any refund (not even their booking commission, which they did not earn), and instead says we gave your money to the resort. Meanwhile, the resort says we will give no refunds, but you can have a credit for future travel, book it through PADI, but then PADI says we are not doing any booking on credit, you have to work that out with the resort. The end result, PADI keeps my $6500 and I don't get my family dive trip or any ability to book a replacement trip in the future. Just another gross, greedy corporation stealing money from its customers when times get tough. Well, caveat emptor, I guess. I know better than to use them and will be sure to tell all the other divers I know to steer clear of this organization that puts its own profits far ahead of anything resembling caring for their customers.

I found PADI Travel is incredible in…looking for solution

I found PADI Travel is incredible in helping clients finding alternative and solve problem under such unexpected situation due to Cornonavirus.

I contacted PADI team before HongKong (where Im from) government announced the red travel warming, Caroline helped me a lot through this situation. She immediately contacted the operator. Took 2 days for her to get back to me that the operator was happy to reschedule my trip within 12months. Im amazed by their “light speed” settlement. during this totally unexpected situation, delay in response is totally expected and understandable. please be patient and reach out as early as you need to ask for assistance. PADI team is working constantly to find the solution for their clients. I dont know if all operators would be willing to let clients reschedule, I feel lucky I booked Carpe Diem Phinisi Raja Ampat via PADI Travel.

Padi Travel was the worst service I have ever had.

I booked a liveaboard through padi and months after I had a confirmed booked trip through padi I contacted the boat directly to ask a couple questions. The owner of the boat told me the trip had been cancelled and he had notified padi already. Padi did nothing to remedy the situation and they were absolutely horrible at communicating. I was absolutely blown away by all the mistakes and miscommunication by padi. And the fact that they did nothing to right there mistakes. They were never apologetic and actually quite rude. I will never use padi again and if you want to book a trip that you can be confident is secure and in good hands I advise everyone to do the same.

10/10 Recommend!

Like many of the other recent reviewers, we had to change our travel plans quickly due to the pandemic. We worked with two incredibale PADI customer service representatives.

Morgan was able to confirm that the company we had booked our liveaboard would be allow us to push our trip back within a 6 month period. All of this was completed within 1 hour, after I let him know our flight was supposed to leave that day!

Caroline, worked with us to confirm a new travel date and set-up all of the information for us.

This all happened within 72 hours. I can't say enough of how grateful we were for their support. We know that they are receiving numerous calls and emails from many people in similar situations, so truly appreciate their great service!

I appreciate this company very much! We had to cancel a trip planned and they didn’t hesitate to give us back our deposit during these troubling times. We will be back onboard with them when life returns to normal and hopefully it’s soon!
Ps they were very helpful, easy to get a hold of before this started. Great company! We’ll do business together very soon again.

Absolutely horrible experience trying…

Absolutely horrible experience trying to get information during the coronavirus travel disruptions. PADI travel team was largely non-responsive, refuses to forward an email sent to them by the resort with information about our options, constantly interrupting and not listening to me on the phone. One person hung up on me and the next, as I was explaining (calmly and completely conversationally!) what outcome we'd like them to ask the resort for on our behalf, interrupted with "I am done listening to this and I'm terminating the call because we are very busy." I am dismayed at the stunning lack of even basic communication skills and utter contempt for their customers. We will never consider PADI travel again. (As of now, they still aren't answering my messages. I called the resort directly and they are happy to refund 100%, but we have to do it through PADI.)

Thank you, Padi Travel. I had booked a Liveaboard trip to Thailand for March break, before all the mayhem. From the very first moment I was in contact, they have been amazing! Very professional, quick to help, offer advice and ideas and get me booked with an amazing trip. As things began to change, they were right there to help and address my needs. In the end, my trip had to be cancelled and once again - they were right there to help and support me in any way possible. They got back to me quickly and worked tirelessly to get things sorted. I cannot say enough about how incredible Padi Travel is - not only will I definitely use them every time I dive, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

PADI travel made planning my live aboard dive trip quick and easy

Poor communication

Having booked via your German site, I received a highly confusing and seemingly in part ill-translated booking confirmation. I sent a number of questions (in German) seeking necessary clarification but none of them was answered until now (9 days later).
Some seemingly unrelated messages in English provided a little clarification, but this is no coherent communication from the side of PADI.
Just to mention: Using some totally unrealistic exchange rate (in this case: approx. 40 THB to 1 Euro) to make prices look better in the german-language advertisement (but charging at the real exchange rate later) seems somewhat dishonest to me.
