The worst experience ever I had

The worst experience ever I had. I made an offer to a property and the offer got accepted. After one month and half, I still haven’t got memorandum of Sale even I called and emailed TuckerGardener every couple of days. I never understand why I need to chase the agent as a buyer. I have decided to pull out the offer. I write the review to hope one day the sellers will find out one day why their properties haven’t got sold for so long.

Great staff

I would like to thank and recognise Elliots efforts in helping us rent a property, in a very rushed and difficult situation.

He has always been fully prompt in communication and definately knows his stuff. I would say we were very lucky to be in his hands, as everything went smoothly with no issues. Could not recommend enough!

AVOID THEM

Worst experience i ever had since the min i rented from them, they lied about the flat and told me its fully furnished it was only partially furnished with rubbish furniture that i had to change
one month without hot water, and i was begging them to send someone to fix, and i only get rude manner from them
even now when my contract is over 3 weeks ago, i am still waiting for them to return my deposit but they are ignoring my emails

contacted their customer relations and they were helpless too

Most unprofessional agency I have dealt with so far all around the world

Our experience with Tucker Gardner has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite our repeated attempts to communicate and receive updates regarding the return of our deposit, the agency has consistently demonstrated a lack of responsiveness and reliability.

Their failure to fulfill their contractual responsibilities is appalling. When we reached out for assistance, their representatives provided no meaningful help and instead shifted blame onto the owner. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable.

We strongly caution other prospective tenants against choosing Tucker Gardner. Their poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to uphold their obligations as a managing agency have caused significant inconvenience and frustration. Spare yourself the trouble and find a more reputable agency that values their tenants and respects their commitments.

TUCKER GARDNER GREAT SHELFORD, CAMBRIDGE

The worst house/agency that we ever transferred. Me and my wife were blinded for this 3-bedroom house for £1300 in Trumpington.

There’s a lot of things going on here. If I can give zero stars, I will do it.

From the beginning that we arrived at the house it was unclean that we needed to book our own deep clean service.

There is no electricity, so we sleep without a heater in the winter with our 6-month-old baby.

MARLEY UGARTE EDWARDS SCAMMED us with our contract. We agreed to let the house for 12 months and we’re surprised after 5 MONTHS that they’re KICKING us out because they say the homeowner is selling the house. If we only knew that the landlord would sell the house after six months, we would not move on this house.

And take note, my wife is giving birth to our second baby and the amount of stress that they gave to her is impeccable! THEY WANT US TO MOVE THE HOUSE one month after being elected C-SECTION. Definitely, this people has a peanut brain.

Definitely not going to have an agreement with this agency again.

Ineffective Complaints Procedure and too much procrastination!

I reviewed Tucker Gardner early April and complained about their terrible Customer Service concerning a shoddy fence repair by one of their contractors.
Here we are nearly 3 months on and the fence still hasn't been satisfactorily repaired! I resorted to their Complaints procedure which was really a waste of time. No acceptance of shoddy work or timed plan of what they were doing to expedite the job, just a chronological description of events and no acceptance of any responsibility for work carried out by their contractor who is apparently too busy to remedy the work at present.
If I was dealing with the complaint I would have got another contractor in ASAP to remedy the fault.
So although TG appear to provide a good tenant finding service, their after sales care is sadly lacking......

A diabolical Company

A diabolical Company. Don't use them !! l can't begin to tell you have awful they are or I'd fill the whole page. Never call you back or answer Emails. House went on the 15th March and I've had two viewings. There Advertising is appalling

Flawless service in Cambridge over 12 years

I rented out a Cambridge property through the Cambridge office (Hills Road) for 12 years until last month. I had zero problems in that time. The rent was received in full on time every month, they sorted out numerous problems connected with the freeholders, dealing with the tenant, improvements to the fabric, and arranging the eventual transfer of ownership, and winding things up - all politely, informatively and swiftly, and most proactively. The problems reported by others here came as a surprise to me and are not reflected in any of my experience.

Please avoid TuckerGardner Ely

Please avoid TuckerGardner Ely - One of the worst estate agents ever used (and this really says it all!).
The agent dealing with our case never ackowledged or replied our emails, never returned our calls and was always on holiday when needed. It took ages for them to complete a house purchase with no chains that could have been completed in max 3 months.
They do not care about anything other than taking your money.

Good Luck getting your Deposit back

I found the letting agent herself to be extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. However I am becoming greatly concerned after reading all the reviews reporting unacceptably late return of deposits, as this is my current experience. I have now waited 1 month for the return of my £1211 deposit, having spent over 20 hours submitting photos and responding to irrelevant “issues/damage “ on the check out document such as “non working light bulb” and “abandoned frog statue” (a tiny tin figurine that was in the garden when we moved in….) and “rubbish by the shed” - a Tucker Gardner To Let sign and the Landord’s spare paving! All after I damaged absolutely nothing and even paid £420 for a professional End of Tenancy clean that left the property much cleaner when we vacated than it was when we moved in! It’s definitely time Letting Agencies realised that their Landlord clients don’t understand the law on Deposits and the vital difference between Damage and Fair wear and Tear! The poor Tenants are always the last to be considered and the ones who have to keep borrowing money for their next deposit whilst awaiting the return of the one they paid in good faith 12 months previously. The clue’s in the name - It’s a Deposit - not a savings account for Landlords to dip into in order to do up their properties in between Tenants! Anyhow - wish me luck and here’s hoping I don’t incur yet another month’s overdraft fees before they get around to returning my money 😞

As a final update - I eventually got my deposit back, thanks to one of the agents insisting to the Landlord that they return it. However, it was too late to use as a deposit for my son’s next rental, so we’re lucky we weren’t utterly reliant upon it, as are far too many tenants. Still - at least I got it!😁

First time property let

Looking for a property for my two kids and I was a very exciting but also a a nervous experience. However, Deborah Hunt made it so easy. She was so helpful and guided us through the process. She understood that I didn’t understand everything and explained in a professional and friendly manner. I recommend her to anyone who is knew in the property market as she genuinely cares and wants to help.

I felt that I could ring her whenever I needed and she would respond. She never made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions which I think is such an important quality as it highlights her higher level of understanding that agents are their to advise and guide, from which we take their lead.

All I can say is thank you and I will be recommending Deborah to everyone who is looking.

Terrible service

I have had loads of problems with TG
They don’t reply to emails
Didn’t bother to do the check visit on my property
Not getting competitive repair estimates
Not advising me of problems immediately sometimes waiting months to let me know.
This gave me no time to get a quote from another contractor

STAY AWAY, false advertising and lack of professionalism

STAY AWAY! Scammers, disorganized, unprofessional and looks like they have no understanding how any part of the letting process works! Harris is the most deceitful and unprofessional agent I've ever worked with, despite his calm and reassuring tone, so if you end up with him, stay clear!

They advertised property with extra features (carpets throughout) to be installed after renovation. The agency also confirmed in writing before moving that the carpet fitting has been completed. At moving day there was not a single carpet at the property, when confronted the agent he left and changed the ad on Tucker Gardner's website and remove the "carpets throughout" feature. Luckily I kept a copy of the original ad, so I raised an official complaint with Countrywide. Then they completely removed the ad from their website to disappear the evidence. Luckily I also kept a copy of the modified ad as well! This is now escalated to the UK Trading Standards and the Property Obudsman as this is now playing along the lines of organized criminal activity.

The agent trying to cover his bottoms, he was asking if it was a "black lady or a white lady" telling me about the carpets, which was entirely his written confirmation and communication! Harris was also blaming the Sales department for the bad reviews I read on Google, if that does not show the type of professional he is, I don't know what does.

The property did not have any smoke or carbon monoxide detectors installed, the agency left a collection on much kitchen counter and "promised" for a contractor to get them installed tomorrow. 3 weeks in, the property does not have any detectors of the kind. The local council has been informed accordingly, in case we die from CO poisoning or a fire.

The agency is not responding to any calls, any emails, I have wasted hundreds of pounds during business hours trying to chase them up in every step of the letting process. It felt like I was explaining to them what the next step is, how or when the contracts need to be signed!

If you want to maintain your sanity, save time and money, stay away from this agency, and contact any other agency in Camvridge. Any other agencies I spoke with where highly professionals, organized and where chasing me in every step of the process rather than the other way around.

Poor response to queries and unresponsive property manager

Poor response to queries and incompetent property manager. I have rented my property with them for 17 years, but am now selling it and need quick responses. The current Property Manager Jodie Harrison just ignores Emails. Up until 2 years ago, my experience was good but recent experience means I would discourage anyone from using them to let their property.

Caused accident and ran away!

We had an appointment viewing with your agent Drew Carolan. On the day, Drew opened a steel fence on the driveway but didn't settle it stable so it hit our car and cause a dent. Drew Carolan said he will contact us to proceed insurance claim, but he never did and disappeared ever since, so does Tucker Gardener, please avoid this company if you can!

Selling property with a passion

Tucker Garner's Saffron Walden office recently handled the sale of our house. From the initial valuation right through to completing the sale, we cannot fault the service that we received from Andy, Paul and Andrea.

Andrea handled the viewings and marketed our house with passion, as if it was her own home, ensuring that she brought out all the advantages and best features. She even took time to include one of our cats in the process, as the cat took prospective buyers around the property! It is the personal touches that make a huge difference.

Within a week of our house going on the market we had received an offer of the asking price. Throughout the entire sale process we had the support and reassurance of the three of them in the Saffron Walden branch. We cannot thank Andy, Paul and Andrea enough for the excellent way in which they handled our sale.

Worst customer service.

Worst customer service.
Whenever customer has to pay, they reply very fast but when it comes to refund for some bill, all of their agents stop to reply at all or it becomes monthly waiting time to sort it out.
I am currently using their service for renting and would not recommend to anyone anymore. I have decided to not use them in future for any service.

Awful experience, no contact and no effort - avoid

Tucker Gardner were managing a sale of a house I was buying. I can honestly say that from the day the offer was made they didn't do a single thing to make the process easier or quicker. On the contrary - they were actively delaying the transaction by blocking me from getting in contact with the seller, something both parties wanted.
In 7 months (yes, it took 7 months) they didn't even bother to send an email with a status update. When I complained, they finally called me back only to find out from me where the process was. Last time I checked it should be the other way around.
I'll try my best to never have to deal with Tucker Gardner again.

We live in a flat that Tucker Gardner…

We live in a flat that Tucker Gardner supposedly “manage”. Why any landlord would allow this company to be in charge of their property is beyond me. Their property maintenance team combine being incompetent with what I can only describe as aggressive stupidity. In an industry not exactly known for having helpful and competent people Tucker Gardner are remarkable for just quite how unpleasant they are to deal with. Honestly, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
