They froze my brother's money and never…

They froze my brother's money and never even told him why a single time.
Now, I am writing comments using his email and account. He took his own life because of poverty.
He told me several times that the company, which is named TuneCore, froze his money and wrote that it was temporary, but he couldn't wait any longer.
If one day I reach Europe or America, I will take this case to court, and I hope the law will prevail

Multiple rejections to AI created…

Multiple rejections to AI created content.....mind you after approving and releasing over 30 songs, generated and utilizing the exact same process/platform/etc.

On annual professional plan, supposed to be contacted within 1 day of denial/rejection to publishing to stores....going on 2 weeks that is now affecting over 10-12 songs,

Cannot upload songs (new) until rejected ones are either appoved and or removed, but won't respond back to give concise information on how to go about that process. In meantime service paid for cannot be utilized, so really just dead process/money there.

I have only utilized this format, but as of now, I will be looking for other publishing options as I really just want my work out there, I am not overly worried about making money from my songs.

Avoid TuneCore

TuneCore used to be fantastic but my last 3 interactions have been awful. They accept payment and then subsequently reject releases with valid reason. They have uploaded music with incorrect details, their website is dead on lots of pages and their support is dreadful and slow. AVOID.

I signed up with TuneCore a year ago…

I signed up with TuneCore a year ago with a pro membership. At first, they seemed ok but then the issues started not long after with royalties and publishing blocks. I was able to work them out over time but just this week they denied 2 of my songs for no valid reason. They sent their usual blanked jargon email from [Frankie] and the team to say they detected something in the songs not properly licensed. The songs are mine, written by me, my lyrics and none taken from any other song or artist. Nothing resembling any type of copy right specifics. I know I will never get an accurate explanation as I never have. I believe this was due to my complaining about them and their suspicious royalty and publishing tactics and delays. I started with an alternative platform this week over it.

First of all they only offer you to…

First of all they only offer you to take money out from Payoneer and not paypal , you have to get links from them to add your account. Second even when you are on professional plan and promised support within 1 day, they wont reply for weeks. They are going downhill.

never ever

Hey @TuneCore,

my withdrawals have been blocked for over 2 months, while my balance (~€3000) is clearly visible.

Support only sends generic responses with no explanation or timeline.

I’m seeing many artists reporting the same issue.

Can you please clarify what is actually going on and when payouts will resume?

You think everything is good until it comes to actually releasing the song. Both of my songs have had to be delayed due to tune core, despite saying it takes 2-3 business days to be approved, its been 6 business days and there has been nothing done to my submitted release

I’m extremely disappointed with TuneCore’s customer support. Despite paying for their most expensive plan, the level of service I’ve received is unacceptable. Responses are either incredibly slow or completely nonexistent. When you’re dealing with your music and your income, waiting days (or longer) for basic support is frustrating and unprofessional.

It honestly feels like once they have your money, support becomes a low priority. For a company that positions itself as a premium distribution service, this lack of communication is a huge letdown. If you’re considering TuneCore, be aware that even at the highest tier, you may struggle to get timely help when you need it most.

They are definitely the worst

They are definitely the worst. I've seen several distributors out there and watched many videos about them, but TuneCore is the worst. You want to send an email, they'll ask you a million questions before you can even send it, and it will take them ages to respond. When they do respond, they'll break it down into several steps to solve your problem, it will take forever, and you run the risk of them freezing your money for any reason. They themselves will look for a reason if they see you growing. They'll freeze your money, accuse you, and take down your music, just because they can. Just because they're the type with the weak contract.

Extremely Disappointing Service – Forced to Seek Legal Action

I am deeply disappointed with TuneCore’s handling of my wife’s account and releases. Without warning or clear explanation, all her content was removed from streaming platforms, and her account was permanently closed. Their response cited “abnormal activity” but provided no specifics, evidence, or concrete reasoning.

Despite repeated requests for clarification, TuneCore has refused to provide details about which terms were allegedly violated, how, or when. This level of vagueness is unacceptable, especially for a paid service used by independent musicians to distribute their work.

As a result of their opaque and heavy-handed approach, we have had no choice but to involve the Musicians Union and pursue legal advice. It is extremely frustrating that a platform meant to support artists instead takes arbitrary actions that jeopardize careers and earnings.

Independent musicians, beware: TuneCore’s policies allow them to terminate accounts at their discretion, and they do not provide adequate transparency or recourse when issues arise.

Tunecore is extremely bad

Tunecore is extremely bad

Please don’t trust this platform so much, they can hold our royalties indefinitely according to its policy. They held my royalties about $4k so far without considering to pay me. I contacted them several times but they still refused my request to withdraw. Stay away from it !!

Very frustrating experience with TuneCore – unclear errors and long delays

I uploaded about 20 songs to TuneCore, and 10 of them were flagged. I received an email with very vague information about what was supposedly wrong. After correcting everything that was mentioned, I assumed the songs would go back into review. However, there were no notifications, no status updates, and no indication of what was happening. I basically had to guess. After three days nothing had happened, and after four days still nothing. This was the case for all affected tracks.

How is anyone supposed to plan a release date like this? If proper processing isn’t possible because of workload, then the system simply doesn’t work. The information about the errors is insufficient and unclear. I have a lot of experience with computers and software, but even I reached my limits here. What made it worse was that I couldn’t submit new songs while the previous ones were still unresolved, and there was no indication of when or if anything would actually be processed.

For comparison: I have released around 50 songs through DistroKid, and there was not a single issue. No errors, no delays. Everything was reviewed and submitted to the stores the same day. Often the review process only took a few hours. That’s what I call professional service.

With TuneCore, however, I often had to guess what the actual problem was during the upload and troubleshooting process. At some point you simply can’t move forward anymore. If I upload a song to my YouTube channel and then submit the same song to DistroKid for distribution, the whole process takes less than five minutes. If there is an issue, I’m immediately told exactly where the problem is during the first step. That’s how a system should work.

I will no longer use TuneCore in the future and I will not recommend it. I will also look into getting my money back.

Another example: my songwriter registration is still not completed. I was told it would take about two days. It has now been ten days with no progress and no information. Instead, everything is presented as if it’s fine and the blame is put on Apple. But other streaming platforms have similar requirements, so the problem clearly isn’t Apple – it’s TuneCore’s system.

If you charge money for a service, you should provide a system that actually works and is transparent, and you shouldn’t make things unnecessarily complicated for people who may be doing this for the first time.

DistroKid has very few negative reviews, while TuneCore has many. Based on my experience, it’s easy to understand why.
