Be very careful if you decide to buy something from the Sirui company! I bought one of their quick release ball heads as a present for my wife. 6 months into it – after hardly being used, it developed 2 problems.
The first, was that the quick release securing screw kept coming loose and the second was that the ball head would intermittently creep down (and yes, the weight was well withing their prescribed limits).

So I contacted Sirui, who replied fairly quickly to say that the solution was to simply tighten the loose screw! Obviously I had been doing this and I could not see how this would cure the ball head creep and I replied to them advising this. Nor could I video the problem as I had no idea when the ball head creep would start!

This was Sirui’s reply “Dear customer,
could you please send us your order ID? Then we could confirm your order details.
And about your problem, we could exchange a new one for you.”

Obviously I thanked them and a day or so later had this other email from them “We will create a return label for you, then please send back the ball head, after we receive the return package, we will send you a replacement asap.”

So, I sent the ball head back – a couple of weeks later, I received a package from them – opened it – and inside was the ORIGINAL ball head I sent them! No note or anything to accompany it.

Contacted Sirui – who said they had ‘repaired’ it, (all they had done was tighten the quick release locking screw which has since come loose, so not really repaired it at all)

Been trying to contact Sirui asking them to keep their promise and they are ignoring my emails – so much for their customer service – my advice – do not use this company at all.

I purchased a dry cabinet on 2021, and now in 2024 it stopped working, and since sirui mention on his cabinets that it has a 3 year guarantee, i contacted the colleagues in Germany to help me out with that, but the truth is that nothing happened after i called for the first time and they told me that they would talk with Sirui China, but nothing happened, in the end i have a dry cabinet that doesn't work and winter is coming, for me Sirui no more!

Fast delivery, well packaged, lense build is amazing for that price - Very impressed with that.

Minimum focus distance using a Sony apsc camera - 6 inches - 15.24CM - 152.4MM

Auto focus in video mode is hit and miss, slow at best sometimes missing or not even focusing at all.
Can take anywhere from 5 seconds or more to refocus once shifted from one object to another with very pronounced focus breathing

Photo mode - locks focus quickly and holds well. no problems there

Alert to UK Customers:

I recently purchased a SIRUI SVT75 Pro Carbon Fiber Video Tripod, but unfortunately, the weight and build were too heavy for my needs. When I initiated the return process, I was confronted with a list of fees, including shipping costs, transaction fees, repacking fees, and a depreciation fee. Additionally, I would still be required to pay more for the return shipment. Moreover, there is no guarantee that they will accept the returned package.

While these conditions are mentioned in their Terms and Conditions, the information is not very clear when check out. It appears that they are willing to accept payment even from UK customers, so please be aware of these terms.

The customer service experience was not super nice.

I was very interested in purchasing an anamorphic lens and found buying from the Sirui website to be very easy. My lenses were purchased from Germany and arrived in the UK with no issues as customs paperwork was arranged perfectly.

Initially only set up this account to moan about getting hit with a £200 import fee from UPS for a product ordered on the UK site but I contacted the customer service team via email and in about an hour or so the issue was sorted and I had been refunded the amount with no pushback. Guessing this is just an adjusting to Brexit issue (When exactly do the benefits start?)

As for the product (50mm FF Anamorphic lens), it arrived in just over a week. Well packaged and is very solidly built. I've not had a chance to put it through its paces properly but early test shots are impressive.

Prompt delivery and very prompt refund of import duty and handling charges. I wasn't too impressed with the product knowledge of the customer service staff. I asked them a question about the size of the top of the legs where the ball head mounts to (I was thinking of buying a different make of ball head) and they didn't know the answer and finally gave me an incorrect dimension!

Top tip, specify your products properly on your website then there won't be a problem.

The shipment was really fast considering it is sent from Germany to the UK, I ordered a tripod on Friday evening and the tripod was delivered on next Tuesday.
The quality of the tripod is great.

Second order with them, I'm in the UK and Sirui in Germany. Delivery quite rapid under the circumstances, packaging just right and as luck would have it
the monopod was on sale so cheaper even than Amazon.

I bought 2 lenses and a tripod from sirui, all in separate stages. Each was a significant amount and step for me. Sirui answered every email promptly and their advice was good and friendly. The product in each case was sound and sturdy and upped my game each time I got my new purchase . The tripod is so smooth and the lenses give such a great look it has really helped me to love and enjoy my film making more than ever. I don't even usually make reviews but in this case I feel it is only fair.

Website showed stock of tripod. Ordered and received no confirmation, waited a week, no product. Contacted them and they said it was out of stock and would be another week. They never really had stock but wanted the orders. Bought a none Chinese product instead which makes me feel better.
