We took a family taster sailing day with Ullswater Sailing School.
James picked up up from Another Place hotel and Emily took us put for the day, traversing the length of lake Ullswater.

Great instruction, friendly and knowledgeable.

My husband & I have just completed a RYA level 2 power boat course with Steve. Steve is great fun & a really good instructor, making the course relaxed & informal whilst providing all the practical experience & theory required. The two days flew by, we had such a good time.
Would thoroughly recommend the sailing school for a great learning experience in a beautiful location. We have also previously completed RYA sailing level 1 & 2 a couple of years ago, these two courses were also brilliant.

Brilliant two days spent doing our PB2. James is a great instructor. Quick communication to all queries. 100% recommend.

The quality of the tuition and friendliness of the club were excellent. We were novices and despite the bad weather they made our 2 day course enjoyable and our time on the water counted towards a qualification.
The only aspect I found aspect I found clunky was the booking process for multiple people on multiple courses. I did not find the website user-friendly but managed to communicate directly with James so we could ‘override’ it !

We had a really great time on the three day level 1 dinghy course. James is a great instructor. Clear communicator, lots of learning but lots of fun as well. He loves sailing and it’s infectious. A memorable few days spent in this wonderful spot. We will be back. Thank you!

We have just spent the best weekend doing our level 1 start sailing course at ullswater sailing school. James our instructor was fantastic great communication skills, patient and made the 2 days fun. We can not recommend this sailing school highly enough and we will be back to complete level 2 very soon thank you to everyone at the club your all amazing

I booked Martha & George a day and a half improver session to develop their sailing skills prior to some upcoming junior sailing events and also to give them confidence in sailing out safely on their own in their leisure time. Honoré tailored the course to meet their individual development needs whilst making sure their time on the water was engaging and great fun. The children had such a brilliant time and came off the water excited and happy. They are both looking forward to practicing their new skills. Thank you to James for arranging the session and to Honoré for making it such a memorable weekend for them both.

The instruction by James was excellent and he made the whole experience very enjoyable. The patience and communication skills of this young instructor were incredible. I cannot recommend this sailing school highly enough.

Edmund who ran the course is very good communicator. Calm, knowledgeable and communicated with clarity and focus. I've been sailing and in and around boats all my life, but I learned a lot.

My teenage son just spent 2 days doing his youth level 2 sailing course. He had a fantastic time and learnt loads from James. I would highly recommend and will look to return in the future.

Fantastic time doing the Power Boat level 2 course. Excellent, friendly instructors who really took their time to ensure everyone knew what they were doing and were confident with each element of the course. Would recommend to anyone, thanks for such a great course.

The trainers had thorough knowledge and gave friendly constructive instruction. The location is beautiful and there was a good range of boats available.

Just completed the PB2 course with the sailing school. A very well led 2 day course with excellent instructors who really know their stuff. We loved it and would highly recommend the course and sailing school in general… done many other courses with them and all have been fantastic for ourselves and kids.

RYAA power boat level 2.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course, very relaxed but extremely informative. Only experience of power boats was being a passenger on one. Happy to be on the helm just need to get more hours under my belt.
