Appalling service and daylight robbery

I used this car rental company just after Christmas 2019 at Malaga airport. Rubbish customer service and daylight robbery! They took £230 more from my credit card on top of the rental fee upon collecting the car that I'm still waiting to get back! They said it's in case I scratch the car, or return it with an empty tank. I returned the car with a full tank of fuel and had no extra scratches, yet I'm STILL waiting for them to give my money back that they unlawfully withholding. They didn't inform me At the time of booking that they'll physically take off that amount from my card on top of the rental fee. Absolutely appalled! I will be starting an official complaint as it's been over a week now and they still haven't refund me. I will never use this car rental place ever again.

Frustrated for having booked a Golf Variant and then being offered a Hyundai by Vipcar partner Alamo. We had intentionally booked the more premium sounding category ”Volkswagen Golf Variant or similar” since we had quite some driving planned during our 3 week trip to Germany. Since no better car was offered than the Hyundai, we had to cancel the booking on the spot. Vip cars wasn’t willing to refund the initial booking fee claiming that the Hyundai was the same category as the Golf Variant - ridiculous since the price of a Golf Variant is much higher than that of the offered Hyundai.

Best rental experience ever. The ease in which this whole rental was handled was totally stress free and on both occasions - Mahe and Praslin, we have met the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff who went out of their ways to assist with any possible questions.
