Profiteering off of mass suffering. Do not fit as advertised and very poor quality/rushed together feel. Do not let this company extort you. Just because it's made in Britain doesn't mean it's a good product.

Gives confidence with its coating and easy to put on and take off not having ear elastics: useful if you wear hearing aids.
A little bit hot around the neck in Summer when not wearing but can use several times till washing.
Overall very good.

Such a confidence builder to have cutting technology protecting my health. Comfortable. Perfect to wear everyday either alone or over another mask. Luv Virushield.

This is a great product, convenient, easy to use and effective. The customer service and after sales service even better.

Great mask, reassurring, easy to use, comfy, easy to breathe through as i have trouble with other masks not comfy as they always move up an down your face & not as easy to breath through i find them quite stuffy, an not helpful for my anxiety so thats why i tried these virus shield snoods an after the first which lasted a good while as i followed the rules allowing to wear it as much as you can an can be washed up to 5 times, iv just bought more as i accidently put mine in the washing machine and as they are not allowed to be machine washed i wouldnt chance wearing it so got a couple of new ones. And this time their £15 each so iv saved money as their a bit pricey as i know their the best shield etc! Thank you !! I would defiantly recommend!!!

Great customer service. I've been using Virustatic snoods since the beginning of the crisis and find them to be an excellent product. Recently I ordered some replacements and for some reason DPD didn't deliver them as scheduled. Keely, the customer service person at Virustatic immediately got on to DPD and, when she didn't get a satisfactory explanation from them, issued me a new package, which arrived the next day. I was very pleased and impressed with this quality service.

My husband and I have been using our Virustatic Snoods since they became available and they have kept both of us safe when out walking and shopping. They offer better protection than a mask and are comfortable, except in hot weather. If you are in a more vulnerable age group or have an underlying health condition - well worth it.

Delivery is usually swift and customer service is responsive.

Great Customer Service. I recently contacted Virustatic Customer Service by email and received a prompt helpful reply. I had purchased 8 shields back in spring 2020 but due to being locked down in another country I couldn’t try them on. In December when I was back in the UK I was so disappointed to discover they were too tight & small and not very stretchy, so I contacted Customer Service. Apparently the material had been changed so it was now stretchier. They offered to send replacements which they did very quickly. I’m delighted with the new product which is far better. My husband & I now use the shields whenever we go outside for daily exercise or essential shopping. The shields/ snood style are comfortable to wear and easy to use. Thank you!

As others have noted - this is very tight to get on ... however once on, it keeps sliding down... How are you supposed to keep it up on your nose? It seems to encourage you to constantly touch your face to constantly keep pulling it up over your nose again. I found it too long... tried it double but that was even tighter. 3*** because others in my family like it!

CONS.
The virustatic snood is really tight when I put it on, to the extent it is painful when I pull it over my head, this is despite ordering the adult size
I paid £24.20 including postage for mine..
Now on offer at £40 for 4 (£10.00 each)
(I wonder why the price has been reduced to this extent maybe it's because it's not selling)
The area in contact with my mouth really wet due to the moisture in my breath.
It is not comfortable to wear, and keeps falling down. I am continually pulling it up to keep in place.
My spectacles keep fogging up because there is no metal band to keep it tight around my nose.

PROS
Very good as a neck warmer, that's about all that it's any use for.

IN CONCLUSION
I am very doubtful about the claims for the antimicrobial aspect.
I ask myself a question why Virustatic do not sell this as a conventional face mask.

It's pretty obvious if you think about it
I think the answer is they would only be able to sell as a conventional face mask for maybe 50 pence each.
Of course this would seriously affect their profit margins.

I was seriously advise no one to waste their money on buying this product

I'm sure it's a great product but I was never able to find out. I bought 2 for £40 following a Which?magazine review but it's so tight I couldn't get it over my head. My wife finally managed to get hers over and on, but it was so tight her nose was running all the time, so she gave up. You have to 'register' the snood therefore making it impossible to return. Absolute waste of money for adults but probably perfect for children who don't need one anyway.

Ordered a Large but the fit was very small, suitable for a child. literally wouldn't fit over my head. Finish of the trim was quite shoddy. Difficult to contact customer services. Its luck of the draw size wise when you order one.

Very helpful advice from Keely and the snoods I ordered arrived the next day. Excellent service.

Excellent mask, very comfortable to wear, I forget I'm wearing it. My partner is a contractor and has to enter people's houses and he feels very reassured by the mask and says it's very practical to wear.

Great mask comfortable and reassuring, used one for months now and always great. So handy to pull up quickly when all those ignorant people pass you not wearing any mask especially heavy breathing joggers. Thank you I think I’ll keep using these when and if the virus has cleared up.this virus was around long before they warned us.

I love my Virustatic Shield...It's comfy, looks great and is an excellent alternative to face masks. I've found it stays clean and I don't have to worry about ongoing contamination. Would highly recommend.

I wear the "Snood", as I call it, whenever I go out - including to a local supermarket with narrow isles. Most importantly, I haven't caught Covid. It also makes me feel safer, as it goes round my lower face and ears. I also like that I can wear it around my neck and just hook it up as and when required. Another plus: I don't worry about being infected by touching it, as its anti-viral features means that no virus can live on its surface. If you want to feel extra safe and don't mind - or even like - the idea of a Snood versus a mask, I strongly recommend it.

Fantastic product and the customer service is brilliant. We are over 65 and don't go anywhere without our virus shield masks. Customer service really helpful when buying and makes it an easy experience.

I have been wearing my Virustatic Shield wherever it has been required (shops, trains and at work). It is so easy to wear: always round my neck so can be pulled up quickly when needed. It fits from the top of my nose to my lower neck. I feel so safe knowing that 99% of viruses can't get through either way.
Why isn't this mandatory in nursing homes etc. for visitors? Then families could visit their loved ones without any risk.
Why isn't everyone else wearing one to reduce the use of throwaway plastic?
Good value, environmentally great and the best mask on the market for 'everyday wear'.
I love it!

Disappointing after the high ratings by others - although the principle is good, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. It's not very comfortable to wear and it doesn't stay in place well, slipping down too easily. (Especially after washing!) And as a spectacles-wearer, it causes misting however I try to adjust it. I have since reverted to simple cloth masks and moulded masks which are better for spectacles-wearers, and easier to put on. If there was a moulded/cup style treated with the virustatic process, it would be easier to wear and better for use with spectacles!!??
