This company needs to be sued

This company needs to be sued. They dont have a service department so you cant get ahold of anyone. Ive had dog sitters cancel last minute, a dog sitter take my car while i was gone, and the people that they “background” are sketch. Someone needs to sue this company.

My third year using this fantastic service!

Do Not Recommend

WAG has asked repeatedly for a review on Trustpilot so Im finally going to give it. I have used this app for a number of years and their service has deteriorated to a shockingly low level. They no longer provide phone support. Their help bot is unhelpful. They take forever to respond to emails after you fight with the bot to actually allow you to send a message. They do not always automatically rebook appointments that are canceled, despite what they advertize; you need to monitor the app and reach out to walkers yourself. Most heinous of all, I had a walker who stole TENS OF THOUSANDS worth of jewelry from me, claimed to walk my dog when he actually didnt (confirmed with ring camera footage), and the company offered a $200 credit and took no other action, including any disciplinary response. I find that unconscionable. They are fine as a low-cost necessity, but that's it.

Wag! to the Rescue

I am disabled & unable to walk my fur baby. Wag! To the rescue when my husband passed 5 years ago. Every walker has been wonderful. Shadow LOVES his walker, who is so kind & definitely goes the 2nd mile often. Don’t know what I would do without this service!

I am so happy I can rely on the Wag app and the walkers to help me with my dog. The app is easy to use, and I like the report card that I receive after the walk. The care my dog has received is stellar.

Hayley is very good with Sunshine

Hayley is very good with Sunshine. She walks with her and lets her decide the route, as long as it is safe for both of them. Hayley will even run with Sunshine when she wants to. Something I cannot do. Sunshine is always excited to see Hayley.

My Dog Got Hurt and Wag! Made Me Their Enemy For No Reason

I left my dog in the care of a petsitter for about a week using Wag! Overall, I didn't have anything against the petsitter themself and I felt kind of sorry for them, so I left them a good review. However, my dog was injured under their care (and they even alluded to the cause in the app chat). When we got home I noticed he was limping (which I hadn't seen previously since he was already right near the car when I pulled up, and he got right in). I ended up taking him to an animal urgent care where he got examined and x-rayed. I have pet insurance, so I got reimbursed for most of it. I then let Wag! know about what happened. Wag! opened an internal investigation and a week or so later determined that they and the sitter were not at fault. At this, I was outright offended. I proceeded to file a complaint through BBB where I only asked them to pay for the portion of the vet visit that wasn't covered by insurance, which was a pretty modest amount, especially for a company like this. They refused and gave another disingenuous response.

It is apparent that Wag! decided that they can either get away with this by avoiding liability or because the amount I asked for is small enough that they know pursuing them through arbitration would not be worthwhile. Either way, they made a very clearly unethical choice and my respect for them is on the floor.

Edit: I can see Wag! responded to this. It's just hot air. They've demonstrated they don't actually care. They're just trying to improve optics by responding to critical reviews but it's really meaningless.

I’ve been using wag for years

I’ve been using wag for years. I’ve my had issues with one or two walkers. I am very happy with the service and glad I can use it whenever I need. One thing I wish they’d change is allowing pet parents to be able to choose male/female/nonbinary walkers. My dog is afraid of men, so it’s difficult to go through cancellations and all that when they auto-select a male.

Peace of Mind is worth the cost

We have a great walker...my dog gets excited when we mention she is coming.. Gabriella can be trusted and that alone is the most important thing. All my family have volunteered to walk our Thunder but honestly Thunder loves her and that shows lots of trust in our eyes.

I am not happy with how pricing is disclosed

I am not happy with how pricing is disclosed. I was shown one price when booking several drop-in visits for two cats. The initial cost did not show a charge for additional “dog”, or “holiday pricing”

Completely untrustworthy

Completely untrustworthy. They steal money and fraudulently charge credit cards - then hide from customers to avoid accountability. No way to contact their customer service.

Consistency of dog walker

Consistency of dog walker. If something comes up and the designated walker is not available Wag! automatically finds a replacement. The dog & parent are not stuck in the lurch.
