Poor company bad black box policy
This company’s black box insurance is awful. I have been driving for 5 months with an average score of 95%. Recently I had to break harshly due to carelessness of another road user and I have now been put on a probation period for which I could potentially pay £125 which has to be paid in 7 days. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t have a spare £125 I can give out in 7 days for something which is not my fault. I pay over £1500 a year for this awful company. Will be looking elsewhere for the future.
The only reasonable priced insurance…
The only reasonable priced insurance company I could find to insure my daughter during learning to drive and after she passed. Customer service was great too!

Fast, Efficient and reasonably priced insurance.
After checking other car insurance companies I found that Marmalade car insurance was offering the best product at a reasonable price, they were vary easy to deal with and I had my insurance in place very quickly, their staff were friendly and efficient.

Due to the COVID-19 greedy companies show their true colours.
Due to the COVID-19 issue and the Government's instruction to stay at home, my son was obviously not allowed to drive. I wrote to Marmalade asking for either a partial refund or to postpone the insurance...perfectly reasonable under the circumstances. They have now told me my only option is to cancel the policy and they would offer a discounted rate when/if I renewed...that was big of them! Meanwhile, I lose out on 3 months cover! I will certainly not be insuring with these characters again...taking advantage of the COVID situation like several other greedy companies in the media recently.

Thank you for writing us a review, i'm sorry to hear you're not pleased with the procedure we have put in force due to COVID-19.
You would not be losing out on the time you haven't used on the current cover as this is what is deducted from your future renewal price. We would work out the days you haven't used on your current policy once cancelled, then when you are able to renew we will deduct that price off of your renewal.

So we took out a 30 day learner driver…
So we took out a 30 day learner driver insurance for my daughter and due to the restrictions imposed my uk government we have been unable to use over half of the time we paid for. Called office today to see if they could offer anything to be advised that as insurance expires today nothing they can.
We are in unprecedented times and to offer no additional support is very very poor shame on you
