I’ve just paid a £100.00 fine for parking there. It’s the ONLY place available to park to be able to shop there. Absolutely DISGUSTING. I will NEVER set foot there again.
They have lost me, my family and my friends from going again. I’m so upset about this.
I will never recommend them to anyone.
To think that I need to go by car to get there but it cost me £100 just to park my car. THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAR PARK!!!!

BOYCOT PARKING EXTORTIONISTS

Really disappointing experience at Wing Yip. The parking setup feels completely unfair — you can shop or eat on-site and still end up with a penalty. It honestly feels less like proper parking management and more like a way to catch customers out.

Instead of enjoying your visit, you’re worrying about getting fined, which ruins the whole experience. For a place that’s meant to attract people to spend time and money, this approach makes no sense.

Until this is addressed, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

disgusting customer service.. the bill says £45 but the machine charged over £45… it’s just a scam. I asked nicely for a refund but they refused and they all ganged up to start shouting at me. Utterly disgusted.

AVOID SHOPPING HERE

very rude staff. and parking charges scam. I went to shop, while also picking up my children from school in front of it. But they charged me just because I left the premises. What kind of f*ckery from UKPS is that. And the store didn’t even try to help removing the charges.

I went to Wing Yip,oldham Road

I went to Wing Yip,oldham Road, Manchester and dropped off a family member to do shopping while I waited in my car. I received unfair PCN from UKPS demanding £100 for staying around 29 minutes. It's a scam and the signs are not clearly visible and are confusing. Don't go there.

Avoid at all costs- parking scam

I posted an honest review regarding the parking scam practice on Google recently. Numerous 5-star reviews appeared out of nowhere shortly after. The products range is diminishing and goods are not as fresh. Instead of improving their services, the shop/landowner rather con their customers out of parking fines. Absolutely disgusting. Be aware of this shop. I will never support them ever again.

Mouldy noodles, no refund

Purchased 2 very mouldy/some form of egg ridden Lo mein lions brand noodles from here sealed in airtight plastic, the colours and mould was like nothing I’ve seen. I was told there must have been holes in it which allowed air, there wasn’t when I bought them as I had to open them. Both wing yip and environmental health did basically nothing and the checks came back fine. Unsure how when so many people are complaining of rotten food. Wing yip told me I have to give them the noodles or no money back, when I stated they had to be sent to Environmental health they didn’t email me back and so never got my refund. I used to love noodles but I just can’t eat them after that.

Unlawfully keeping your money!

Wing yip MANCHESTER charged me twice for a shopping that I've done in store. They claimed that the amount didn't go through because the till broke while processing my payment, when I was saying and showing the opposite. So they obliged me to pay again in a different till or "I would not be allowed to take my shopping home" (shopping that I paid for). A day later both payments went through. It was on 16/12. Since then I'm trying to receive my money back but I'm tripping in the INCOMPETENCE of his employees and the greediness! They treat you like a suspect when they are the ones keeping my money UNLAWFULLY!
They NEVER gave me a call back and NEVER offered a solution. All they say is "We need to talk to the head office..." But no call back, NEVER!
GREEDINESS!
They just lost a 6 years customer who spend around 300£ a month there. I don't want to be special, I just demand for RESPECT!
Next will come a court order demanding repairs. Don't tempt me this much. GREEDY COMPANY!
DO NOT GO IN THERE!

I am extremely disappointed with this shit

I am extremely disappointed with this store and their chosen parking management service, UKPS Ltd. I received an unfair parking charge despite being a customer at Wing Yip supermarket and upstairs Chinese Restaurant, and the notice was even sent to the wrong address, causing delays and preventing me from responding within the appeal period. When I submitted an appeal, UKPS completely ignored it, only for me to later receive a notice from a debt collection agency, adding even more stress. For those who want to visit this restaurant, be careful and reconsider, cause you will RECEIVE A PARKING CHARGE that cause you 100 POUNDS for parking even you had a meal and shopping there!!!

Not so fresh meat

I visited the Chadderton branch on Sunday for a pack of fillet steak it cost £44.68 we asked the butcher to cut it he gave us a ticket which we payed with . We took it home put into freezer bags and put one in the fridge to eat today . I cooked it and it was off . I rang the branch in question and was told they only have a 30 minutes window to bring back for fresh meat . Don’t buy any fresh meat from there and if you do make sure it’s ok because now I’m £45 out of pocket and their customer service stinks

Wing Yip Disappointing.

Went there today with my sister within less than 15 minutes I was ordered to put my small suitcase by a person working there, to a booth near the till. They came back with a ticket. When I asked the tallest cashier who appeared to be counting limes a question, a hand came towards my face as if to say talk to the hand, why are you employing someone with very bad manners. The whole experience is very disappointing, I too will not be back remember Win Yip you are in a multi culture area. If you are offended by anyone who are not Chinese might be worth closing, your store also must abide by the equality and diversity legislation if you intend to keep trading. 👎👎👎👎👎

BEWARE WING YIP ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE…

BEWARE WING YIP ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE WITH PARKING!
Try having dim sum and then shop in under two hours! This scam is disgusting, not to mention arrogant, most people have to use your car to get there.
After having spent over £450 pounds in the shop and restaurant for my daughters 16 birthday party, I have received a parking invoice requesting I pay them £100 or £60 if paid earlier.
PLEASE NOTE Private parking companies have no official right to fine you, REMEMBER this is not a fine ITS AN INVOICE, they REALLY do not have the LEGAL RIGHT to fine you. I'm quite prepared to go to court and drag wing yip name into the mud, they deserve it, they didn't have to set up this practice they choose to and its affecting their customers.

WING YIP ARE IN FULL KNOWLEGE OF THIS PRACTICE. the extract below is from their website

"Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with any matters relating to Parking Charge Notices. Our car parks are managed by an external company and any issues you have regarding a Parking Charge Notice you’ve received should be directed to them. All details on how to contact them are on the Parking Charge Notice itself."

They know full well this is happening and are doing nothing to amend this criminal like practice. I for one shall never shop there or any of their shops again, unfortunate for my Chinese wife. OH and never buy meat there, both times we have we've been extremely ill. Always check dates on items, we've brought item's only to find them months past their best before date.

All in all shockingly bad state of affairs for what could and should be an good experience.

Don't buy fresh meat from Wing Yip!! Unbelievably poor service.

We purchased a vac packed fillet steak which cost £22.64 from Wing Yip in Birmingham which had a "best before" date of 16/2/24. On opening the pack today it absolutely stank! We called the store to ask for a refund and were point blank refused. The reason? They don't accept any fresh produce returns which have been out of store for more than 30 minutes!!!! What an absolute joke. We had stored the steak in an insulated bag on the way home and obviously in the fridge at home. They said "fill out a complaint form and if we get enough of them we'll consider it" Unbelievable. We will never shop with them ever again. AVOID!

Beware Of Parking Rules - Croydon

Wing Yip and parking Company (UKPS) have conspired to get extra money out of the pockets from their customers who park their cars in the car park whilst shopping. In Croydon, the limit of parking on the ground floor is set at 2 hours whilst in the upstairs car park it’s set to 4 hours (surely it makes more sense to make it 4 hours on the entire site). None of the sign posts are clear. On all my previous shopping trips to Wing Yip Croydon I have always parked on the ground floor and exceeded 2 hours because of having lunch at the restaurant next door and have never got a PCN until today after visiting and spending a huge amount of money with them. Have appealed to UKPS and within 3 minutes of doing so got a reply basically saying tough luck! That said, I won’t be going back to Wing Yip anymore!!!

Bought seaweed which is a dry food

Bought seaweed which is a dry food, bought three packs, they were mouldy. Went back didn't have a receipt, got told no refund no receipt. Cashier lady did try to look for my receipt on their system but couldn't find it. They say it doesn't affect your statutory rights but reality tells you otherwise. Wing yip didn't exchange nor refund the goods. Make sure you keep your receipts people. I left the three packs there. I wonder if they will end up back on the shelf? Won't be buying seaweed there then....
