Dismissed, Disrespected, and Ignored

Woodholme's staff was very friendly, and I felt very comfortable up until a few minutes after I met Dr. Tignor. I don't recall ever being more dismissed and disrespected in my life. When I mentioned that I was looking for someone to perform a sedation-free colonoscopy, Dr. Tignor became dismissive and began talking over me. She refused to acknowledge that colonoscopies are regularly performed without sedation along with CO2 being used in place of air which reduces the patient’s pain and discomfort.

Dr. Tignor completely ignored what I had to say and rudely ushered me out of the exam room and had her staff schedule an appointment for me and ordered the prep without my consent. I later cancelled the appointment via Woodholme’s portal and did the same with the prep via my pharmacy. I’m left to wonder how often Dr. Tignor bulldozes patients into procedures they do not want. I wish I had stood up and walked out once I mentioned not wanting sedation and saw Dr. Tignor’s exaggerated eye roll.
