I don't really know where to start with …
I don't really know where to start with this review. 'The epitome of incompetence' springs to mind. I'm also dubious as to how many of these positive reviews could possibly be genuine given our experience.
The beginning of the process was fine - the showroom was great and the designer helpful. Our requirements were pretty standard, but it all fell apart during delivery and installation.
To give you an idea of how utterly hopeless the Wren Kitchens fulfilment team is, delivery and installation were planned for January 2017. It is now the middle of October and we're still waiting for parts to be delivered. We've actually taken delivery of over 20 boxes, the majority of which were not for our kitchen, which I was advised to dispose of myself, or 'build something with'(???).
The parts that the initial installer put in were damaged - edges cracked, paint scratched, numerous parts were the wrong size. These are the parts we're still waiting for 9 months later. We even had to build out one of our walls to fit a unit in.
During the initial installation there was no communication between the installer and the customer services team regarding the numerous ongoing issues we were having. As a result I spent literally hours standing in our ruin of a kitchen passing messages back and forth about missing and incorrect parts. A week later, after the installer and myself had INDEPENDENTLY arranged a date for carrying on with the fitting, a new delivery would come with the wrong parts again. I'd take these to the tip, call the installer and then start again.
The kitchen fitter told me frequently that this happens all of the time: he was amazed that Wren are still in business, not just because of the angry customers but because of the sheer amount of wasted kitchen parts. I can only assume that customers are so relieved to get them out of their house, with some kind of working kitchen installed, that they can't be bothered to post a review. Either that or they move house/die of old age before the kitchen is actually finished.
Well, ours isn't. I expected the exciting experience of the purchase of a premium kitchen to be as follows:
1. choose kitchen 2. measure space 3. agree fitting date 4. let the installer into your house 5. kitchen is installed 6. installer leaves 7. enjoy nice new kitchen.
I didn't expect it to be the utter nightmare that it was and still is. I saw the old Watchdog warnings about this company and I assumed that they'd put that behind them. They categorically have not. If a new kitchen was something that you did more often than once in a blue moon, I can guarantee that they would be devoid of customers.
Save yourself some money, sanity, hair, quality of life, a huge amount of time, and a lot of microwave meals and buy your kitchen elsewhere.
