Some random person turns up at my house…

Some random person turns up at my house with a Galica accent. No identification or verbal communication prior to..... 'Passport or driving licence.... No ID no parcel.' in an authoritarian tone and manner.
I don't keep either in my back pocket. I also wouldn't give my ID to a random stranger.
'No ID.... NO PARCEL' I start to wonder if I'm living in some communist federal state???
Turns out it was an amazon parcel delivery. Apparently, could have been ID fraud or some nutter

AMAZON POOR SERVICE AND INCORRECT CHARGING

Charged my CC for someone else's subscription. Accepted it was their error. Now refuses to reverse the charge or contact the bank. Leaves customers with no option other than to close the credit card for fear that AMAZON's security has been breached

Will charge your card without your permission

I refuse to use Amazon because of unauthorized prime charges. I know so many people that I’ve had the same situation. It seems to be pretty common place. They just take money from peoples accounts every month without any authorization. I have a feeling they do this to millions think about how much money that is it’s insane. This is an incredibly corrupt company.

It is no wonder mazon are the richest…

It is no wonder amazon are the richest company in the world. They sold me prime without my knowledge, only finding out when a notification came from my bank letting me know that amazon had charged me £8.99 out of the blue. It has taken me 3 days to cancel any further charges (they make it easy to buy things, over complicated and hide fact that you might have purchased TV watching services without you knowing). Any other company with less clout, this mis selling would be seen as fraud. Lets see if I have been successful in cancelling this fee going forward!

Overall pleased

Overall Im pleased with Amazon. Most orders arrive within the 2day delivery I pay for... occasionally an order is late and inconvenient, so I wish there was some type of credit for Prime members.

I purchased a $200 gift card from…

I purchased a $200 gift card from Amazon, it came in the mail and it had already been redeemed. I've been told by Amazon on 3 different occasions that someone will contact me within 48 hours. No one has ever contacted me. I contacted Visa and they said Amazon is responsible for the cards they sell.

Their customer service is appalling

Their customer service is appalling, although I have used my card over years of purchase with no issues over the past 3 weeks payment has been declined by my bank due to incorrect expiry date, although on my Amazon account it is correct.
After 8 customer service operatives whom 7 admit don’t understand why it changes they blame my bank.5 of them hung up on me as they obviously could not help, except to say contact your bank which I do most times.
The operatives knowledge is sad at best but their ability to take it to other departments for help is non existing.
I can no longer order anything.

New Amazon Delivery Scam

New Amazon Delivery Scam BEWARE

Amazon have now introduced passwords for delivery drivers for high value items

This is being abused by drivers asking for password and then claiming item not in van

Customer service refusing to refund and stating was delivered using excuse of password being provided

BEWARE NEW AMAZON SCAM involving the use of delivery passcodes - this is to protect amazon not you !

do not purchase anything valuable from amazon totally unreliable

Have just tried to amend my delivery…

Have just tried to amend my delivery instructions, but of the 10 options permitted none fit my criteria. I would like my deliveries to be left in my porch, not outside the front door where they can be seen from the road or get wet if the weather is not great. There should at least be a comments box if none of the options are correct.

DO NOT RELY ON ITEM TRACKING.

DO NOT RELY ON ITEM TRACKING.

I used Amazon products recently to create an aquascape scene at home using a large fish bowl. The tracking told me that my package would arrive by 8pm on the 7th of Sept. With this information, 1 hour before delivery, I bought my snails and shrimp - they survive for up to 3 to 4 hours in watered bags. I also bought many aquatic plants which can last 3-4 days in bags.

The delivery did not arrive and instead I was left with an update stating that my order should arrive by the 15th of Sept, if not I could request a refund... I'm appalled by this system as I was told it is "usually" very good.

Regards,

Finn

2-day shipping has become a fib...today is another example of several this summer

Amazon has delayed delivery on several items this summer. Twice the items never even arrived! They promise 2-day shipping when I order, then the day of delivery I receive an email that the delivery is delayed. It is now a pattern, and suspect Amazon realizes they are missing delivery dates but do not want to state honestly they are unable to deliver many (most?) items in 2 days, and destroy their reputation. Once recently I decided to choose Whole Foods locker as a pickup station, which ended up being worse, since their counter was closed over an hour early, and no one in the store knew why. This rendered my having to make 2 trips.

Smething rotten within Amazon?

I have been exposed to three separate incidents recently where the items delivered have NOT been the items ordered and paid for.
BBC have widely reported this scam. It seems to apply to high value items such as cameras, lenses and computer drives.
For example a) I ordered a lens £699 and received a £4.99 set of ear phones and b) I ordered an external hard drive £135 and received a plastic screen saver £3.90.
I fared better than some scammed customers who have received condoms or a tin of cat food.
Amazon are aware of the fraud but do not seem able to stamp it out.
Scammed customers have to spend hours of frustration, speaking to robotic assistants and automated chat machines. I have asked to be transferred to the Fraud Team but they do not allow this.
Wake up Amazon. Your reputation is crumbling

Amazon is now terrible

Had a message saying my parcel had been posted through my letterbox. I only have one letterbox, and no item has been received. Customer service just said "wait a few days, see if it turns up". What has happened to Amazon?? They are becoming more and more terrible every day

A thoughtless place to leave a delivery

I must admit that I normally have very good results getting my Amazon orders in a timely and safe way. Until yesterday, that is (and I wonder if this is a sign of things to come given that they now have their own delivery service). Unbelievably, based on their photo, they left the package in a completely open area close to the street (I live in a small apartment complex). It was highly visible to any passerby who was inclined to steal packages. There were so many other far safer places they could have placed it, like near the collective mailboxes which is away from the street or, shock, at my 2nd floor apartment door! Anyway, the point is that I do not have it, and I am actually considering just eating the $30. rather than attempt to get an actual human customer service rep on the phone to talk to. The frustration may not be worth it.

Amazon Firestick Max 4k failure.

Amazon Firestick Max 4k failure.
Twice through to chat.
No fix.
Simply replaced. One off due to suspected software failure as every troubleshooting procedure didn't work.
Cannot ask for any more than that.
Thank you.

Ordered an HP printer and per website…

Ordered an HP printer and per website it would be delivered 9/4/23. Received notification it was out for delivery on evening of 9/4/23 and scheduled between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Never showed and now Amazon states will be delivered 9/5/23. I needed for a presentation and once again Amazon has failed in doing what they advertise.

No more free pickup returns…

The company doesn't allow free ups pickup returns anymore. I have to pay for a pickup on their site or they never have the option. I am unable to get to a store for free dropoff and the packages are too big for a drop-off box. Ups charges a ton for a package pickup if you are not a company and live on a normal street.

Many of the things I have bought was from a third party seller even through they say it's through Amazon services. They hide it until you need to return something and see that it is from a third party vendor.

I don't bother buying stuff from there unless I have a gift card to spend from the holidays. It's an overpriced alibaba now and I can buy the exact same stuff off of temu, alibaba or the dollar store for half the price with better service. I don't condone what Chinese sites do for super cheap prices, but when a person is unable to leave home or Walmart is considered expensive, Amazon could tone it down with the huge markups compared to a retail store.

I truly enjoy Amazon Prime, Prime is needed to receive the full benefits like Prime delivery, free Amazon music Amazon movies and so much more. You can schedule household staple deliveries depending on your needs weekly, every two weeks, and so on.
